Looking at Maxwell, I felt a tremendous amount of anger towards him.

He had presented me with a contract, for me to marry his daughter and he would hand over all his shares in a company I was trying to get for so long.

"What nonsense is this?", I raised my voice at him

"Your highness, I am offering you my daughter and all my shares if you agree" Maxwell stated calmly, like it was the most logical thing to say.

"Maxwell, I am a married man, already!, I yelled

Looking at me, he said, "I know, but my daughter would be a better fit for you, don't you think?"

"Rayne is my wife, the lady I had brought here today, has that part seemed to slip your mind?", I questioned

Thinking back to the first time Maxwell saw Rayne at a dinner party, we both attended.

I knew he had his eyes on her then, because of the bet he wanted to place with me, when he found me staring at her, but after I had punched him and told him that she was my wife, he apologised.

I thought that was over then but it looks like he still wants to get his claws onto her.

Even when we arrived tonight here, I didn't miss the look in his eyes when he greeted her. I was about to say something but just in time, Rayne removed her hand from his, so I held myself back.

Now this bullshit....

Offering me his daughter so I can leave Rayne, haha, absolutely ridiculous, I thought.

Handing back the contract to Maxwell, I walked out his office to go and find Rayne. Stepping out, I bumped into someone, causing her to fall down.

Bending down to pick her up, she put her hands around my neck, pulling my head down and capturing my lips in her's, as she tried to kiss me.

Pulling myself back and pushing her away, I stood up straight and looked at her.

Seeing that it was Esmeralda, Maxwell's daughter, I was about to reprimand her but saw a hand going past me and slapping her cheek.

Turning to my right, I saw Rayne standing there, furiously looking at us.

"Rayne, baby, I can explain....", was all that I got to say before Rayne stopped me and said she wanted to go home now.

Not wanting to make a bigger spectacle here, I held Rayne's hand and walked with her outside to our car.

Once we got in, Rayne turned the other side, towards the window away from me.

Taking her hand, I tried to pull her to me but she pulled herself away immediately, going more further away from me.

Giving up for the moment, I sat back in my seat waiting to reach the palace, where I could speak to Rayne alone in our room.

Finally reaching the palace, Rayne opened the door and ran inside the palace, straight to our room, shutting the door behind her. Going in after her, I opened the door and went inside the room.

Looking around, for Rayne, I heard her inside her closet.

Opening the door and going inside, I saw her undressing into casual clothes.

Approaching her, I wrapped my hands around her and kissed her head before asking her to please give me a chance to explain what happened.

Stepping away from me, she looked at me before saying... M

"Kellen do you know what I went through tonight? Have you any idea, how I was treated? I went to that dinner as your wife but I was treated as a hoe in front of so many men!"

Seeing the puzzled looked on my face, she continued... "Maxwell's wife took me to a room which was filled with men.... Men who started touching me and trying to rip off my dress. Never ever in my life, have I felt so humiliated. Kellen, those men were speaking about having sex with me, in groups! I was so terrified, of what was going to happen, so I asked Maxwell's wife Amanda why she was allowing this to happen to me. She laughed, Kellen, she actually laughed at me and told me that this is what you wanted when you left me with her."

Feeling my temper rise at what Rayne was telling me, I put my hands on my face, as I took deep breaths to calm myself down in front of Rayne, I asked her to carry on, so she once again spoke.

"Looking around me, I saw the key on the door still, coming up with a quick plan in my mind, I managed to push Amanda inside the room and before she or anyone else could get up, I shut the door and locked it, running for my life to find you, because somehow in my mind, I believed you would never do that to me."

Still trying to hold my anger in, I nodded for her to continue.

"When I was looking for you, I went in the direction, I saw you go in. That is when I saw you and that girl kissing, Kellen", she said as the tears flowed down her face.

Trying to take her in my arms, she stopped me and said "Kellen I saw you, so don't try to deny it please!"

"Rayne, baby please believe me, I didn't kiss her, she tried to kiss me and I pushed her away, I promise", I said

"Kellen, I know what I saw, so stop please"

Feeling my anger about to explode, I woke up and walked across the room, only then did I turn back to look at Rayne as I said,

"Rayne, I know I didn't kiss her and what happened, if you don't want to believe me, then that is your problem, not mine. Anyway since we are confronting each other about stuff, let me ask you something? At college today, when I dropped you off, I didn't drive off straight away, I waited for you to go in. Well guess what I saw to my surprise, I saw my wonderful cousin Dario putting his hand around my wife. Rayne, you, my wife, the princess of this country was allowing a guy to hold you, when you thought I wasn't around, the same way you allowed a guy to jump through your bedroom window after you started dating me, I screamed at her.

"What bullshit are you speaking about Kellen, I have never allowed any man to jump through my bedroom window ever in my life", she screamed back

Ignoring what she said, I laughed as I asked, "What were you doing with that guy? You wasn't sleeping with him, since you were still a virgin when you slept with me, so what did he get from you huh? Did he satisfy you by going down on you or did you go down instead on him?", I questioned.

Before I could even utter another word, I felt a sting on my left cheek as Rayne slapped me hard, before yelling at me, as she cried hard,

"The only guy that jumped through my bedroom window was my brother whenever he would sneak out to meet his girlfriend!"

Getting up, she went into her closet, closing the door behind her.

Inside I could hear shuffling going on, after a few minutes, Rayne came out with her bag.

Looking at her, I asked "What are you doing?"

Without even bothering to answer, she opened the door and went out with her bag.

Following her, I saw her entering another room before closing the door behind her and locking it.

Feeling the urge to go and knock down the door due to her attitude, I got distracted by the voice of my cousin downstairs.

Going down, I went in front of him and asked "What is your business here, Dario?"

"To take back what is mine, Kellen, which is the crown and my title", he replied

Laughing at what Dario just said, I asked him to show himself out'' and walked upstairs to my bedroom.

Going inside, I remembered that Rayne wasn't there with me but in another bedroom away from me.

Deciding to leave her alone for tonight, I went out my bedroom to my office.

There I took my phone and called my men, asking for Maxwell, his wife and the men that were there to be brought to the dungeon.

Once I was notified that they were there, I made my way to them.

Stepping into the dungeon, I could hear, Maxwell and his wife yelling at my men to let them out. Asking my men to open up so I could go in, I waited till the lock was opened.

Going inside with a whip in my hand, I started my interrogation.
