Wang Yibo's POV:

"Wangji" a soft voice calls to me. I turn around to seek the voice.

Can one talk to their own soul? I have always dreamt of him. Today, I can see him.

Lan Zhan.

Wei's Lan Zhan.

Me.

"Lan Zhan" I bow with utmost respect. He's the partner of Wei Wuxian, Yiling Patriarch.

Lan Zhan bows back.

"Where am I?" I ask him as I look around and find myself in a midst of starry night sky.

Where am I?

"You're in a vacuum where time doesn't have a say" he answers in a sweet humble voice.

"Thank you, Wangji" he smiles "I am indebted to you for a lifetime"

I smile back "Not at all. It's me who is indebted to you, if not for your love, I would never have had the chance to spend this lifetime with him"

"Take care of him, Wangji. He has suffered a lot. He has been betrayed before, that could happen in the future too." Lan Zhan's soul stands in front of me "he's yours alone. Love him. Cherish him. Don't forget you're me and I am you" his smile radiates "thank you, for bringing him back. Thank you for giving me a chance to spend some precious moments with him. It is because of you, that I had a chance to be with him".

"Is he alright now?" This is something I am dreading.

Lan Zhan smiles "Yes, his soul was weak, his soul was being pulled towards the purgatory, it was being shredded once his soul recognised me from his past. I stopped that. We, stopped that." He looks at my soul "it's time for you to go back too, he's waiting. He's vulnerable. Cherish your time with him"

"What would happen to you?"

"I am going back to a beautiful place where I should have gone long back and wait"

"Wait?"

"Wait for you to come back. You're, a part of my soul. I'll be waiting for a little longer for my Wei to join me too" he smiles serenely "but now, I shall rest. Take care Wangji. Take care of him for me".

"You think, he would come back?" I ask with a heavy heart.

"Yes he will. He has to. He has you" I look up with hope "He's fighting for his life right now. Do you know why he was suffering so much?" He pauses "Because he knew his soul is seeking yours. I am just a mere memory. We could never be together, but you're his reality. He knows you exist only for him. That's the sole reason he bled. Only for you"

He closes his eyes, taking deep breath, when he opens them, they are briming with emotions "I never realised how important it was to confess to him back then, I had lost him forever. But, you, you need to confess what is in your heart. It's a very fragile feeling, Wangji. Love him and let him love you, Wangji".

I nod and bow.

"It's time for you to go back, Wangji. Be happy. Cherish. Moreover believe" he closes his eyes, with a smile he disappears and the light merges with my soul.

I open my eyes and see his sleeping face.

My Wei.

He slowly stirs and then blinks his eyes.

Oh Wei.

They're filled with anguish.

Unable to see him in tears, I pull him to me. He clutches my shirt and cries.
He cries for what was his.
He cries for what could have been his.
He cries for the one who meant the world to him.
He cries for us.

My Wei.

"You need to confess what's in your heart" I remember what Lan Zhan told me.

So I whisper "Saranghaeyo"*

I whisper again and again and again.
