The rain that patters
Against a hundred umbrellas;
Rainbows of canvas
Walking down the street.
They make me wonder,
At the clouds and thunder,
The filtered sunlight,
Plastic shoes, wet feet.
The wind runs its fingers
Through my tangled hair;
It replaces the knots
It tries to undo;
And all around,
Life undoes its knots;
For a thing only crumbles
To be built anew.
