I sat on the desk in my room writing the thoughts that have been sticking on my head lately. I had thought a lot about Jungkook and I, and I decided it was time to tell my parents and also just confront them. I was getting a little sick of all of this and seeing how Jungkook looked so happy yesterday made me not want to see him sad ever again. I didn't really plan for this I just wanted to tell them straight forward. I close my notebook a little to harshly before standing up and making my way out.
     As I left the room I felt already anxious. Just hearing my parents speak in the kitchen made me want to run back to my room and stay there till they leave. But I pushed myself, I had to do this.
     As soon as I step in the kitchen the attention is all on me and they're completely silent. My mom, she had a look on her face. A look of.....worry?
     "What's this miracle? Lily finally comes out of her room," my dad starts. My mom signals not to start any argument like we always do.
     "I wanted to talk to you guys...about something or....someone," I gulped.
     "Hm someone," I hear my father mumble.
     "You guys haven't been treating me much like a daughter but that's not what I'm here to talk about-"
     "Lily, I- " my mother interrupts.
     "No, not the time. I'm just here for the sake of someone. I just want to let you guys know that I am dating the guy you met before and nothing you do will end it, okay? Don't try any of those silly things. Also, he's a....really famous idol and um... I don't want you guys to try anything or ask him for anything. If you need money ask me, not him. I'll see what I can do about it. But while you're in my house you can't tell anyone to leave," I confess.
     "If he wants to date my daughter he should at least help her family, don't you think?" As my dad said this I began to lose the patience I was trying to have with them.
     "No dad you have to help yourself here. You aren't doing anything about your problem. You're over here living under my roof while I make the money when it should be the other way around!" I've lost it. I've been sick of my father just using me and not doing anything to help the situation or showing gratitude for what I was doing for them.
     What my mom did then surprised me. She told my dad off and told him to leave. She screamed that even my father jumped at her voice. My dad was sure scared of my mother and just obeyed her. I was left with my intimidating mother in the kitchen.
     "Lily, I want to apologize to you. I haven't been the best mother, I know. But I want you to know that I've realized my mistakes and I'm doing my best to change. I started looking for a job to get us out of your house. Please just endure us while I get money to at least pay for an apartment so your father and I can leave you. Also, congrats on your relationship," she smiles and holds my hand between both of hers. Seeing how warm she was being made a drop or two fall off my eyes. "I would love to have dinner with the two of you someday," she says as he wipes my tear.
     "Mom, thank you so much but my dad should help you. He should find a job and put money into your new apartment too," I worriedly say. It was unfair that my mom was doing all the work while my dad just laid back and rested and everything was being paid and done for him.
     "Don't worry I'll try to talk to him, goodnight Lily. Go to sleep it's getting late."
     I hug my mom as I mumble a 'goodnight' in her ear and kiss her cheek. I go to my room and just feel a hundred times better than I did when I was previously here. Many would say I forgave my mother too easily but at this point I just wanted to know they cared about me and when my mom did that I just couldn't stay mad at her anymore.

A/N HELLO GUYS I know it's almost been 2 months! I'm so sorry for the inactivity but omg I swear I won't miss an update anymore. I will at least try to update once a week. Life's been really tough and cruel but it's actually starting to be good for once and I think I'm in the mood these days. I wanted to write another chapter because I'm feeling kinda happy lol but it's really late at night so maybe I'll write it tomorrow! I hope you guys have an AMAZING day 👋🏼 byeee
