If you are wondering why there is a weird photo at the top...well let me explain.
I had a friend of mine edit pictures for the first time on my device and let her use anything she could find on Google. I left for a while and came back to a warning and this photo on my device.
She WANTED me to put it on here so go ahead and laugh at it. Judge it. Blah blah blah...
Anyway, enjoy!!!

Ezra's P.O.V
The sun beat down on my home, Lothal. It was the dry season where things could easily catch fire in the blink of an eye. Every drop of water found was precious, never to be taken as a gift but as a salvation.
Like the greedy would do anything for money, thirsty Lothal citizens would tear a limb off to trade for half a cup of water. Many have dug wells that soon dried up or destroyed by harsh winds.
Life seemed to be hard for Lothal in the beginning but grew worse when the asteroid hit. It became a ghost town, lost souls still roaming for false hope and found that water wasn't the only thing to worry about anymore.
Not after people died instantly. Not after the Infected rose to hunt the weak. Not after the imperials raided town after town. Not after the gaining of powers. Not after everything changed did Lothal almost disappear from maps and become forgotten by the world.
It was a brutal time until the Empire began to make Lothal a "better place." A place where we can be safe from all harm from the Infected on the other side of the wall. From the gangs and many other threats that plague this world.
We were wrong right when the stormtroopers started to go extreme with punishments for the smallest things, tossing the innocent to the evil of the world. Break one of their rules and get caught in the act, you better hope they don't catch you.
Well, they did catch someone very important to me.
I stood in the middle of the road, crying and shouting while watching the imperial transport drive off. I was left alone without any care or support to fend off in the streets I used to think of as my home.
Now my home seemed more like a living nightmare. Everyone that I love was gone and there was nothing that could be done, all my fault.
Water wasn't important.
The end of the world wasn't important.
Nothing was important except my greedy mind wanting my family back.
Was it so wrong to want someone that you fought with often so badly? Or maybe it was the loneliness overwhelming my head?
The predicament seemed all the worse once realization hit like a ton of rocks.
I'm alone.
I gasped awake to meet with weak, green eyes. Those same eyes that told me to run. The ones that had sacrificed so much for the crew's safety, for my safety.
Kanan was in this mess because of me. I could of done something, could have helped in some way. Instead...I ran like a coward and now look where we are at. The turmoil from guilt and regret from what happened began to suffocate me. Send me in a spiral of emotions of anger and sadness with an overwhelming sinking feeling.
We stared at each other for a little while longer before I decided to break the silence.
"I-I'm sorry," I apologized, voiced scratchy. This caught Kanan off guard and perked up in confusion.
"For...what?" He asked, weakly then coughed. I winced a small bit seeing the damage the Empire did to him.
"For getting you into this mess. I should have helped you back there, instead I ran," I spat, angry at myself before sorrow filled my voice, "I'm so sorry."
Kanan sighed, grabbing my attention.
"Kid..." he began, trailing off and gathering his words. He was in deep thought before looking me in the eyes.
"I used to be just like you too, always blaming myself for not helping others when there could've been something I could have done."
I was taken back, not expecting that answer. Out of everything he could of said, this was not one of them. He continued, "Remember that city, Garel, we stopped at, and where we were first attacked by the Inquisitors?"
I nodded my head, carefully listening because of curiosity.
"I used to live their with my stepmother, Depa. She cared more about me than my actual parents ever did. A few days after my dad left Depa and I, we didn't live the best and soon, the asteroid hit," Kanan said.
His facial expression darkened as the memories seemed to hit harder than a crate of rocks. I unconsciously shifted around a bit, knowing that there was no happy ending to this, there never was.
"Depa obtained her power to go invisible. I didn't know what I had, until waking up the next morning in my mind but in the body of a murdering creature. I could see everything that was happening but couldn't control it, couldn't stop it," he said, blankly.
"I killed her, ripped apart and practically, mauled to shreds all because of me. Once I turned back into myself, I ran."
I felt sympathy for the man who lost almost everything in his life. Yet, it seemed that he has found a new place to call home and a family to rely on. He needs them more than what I would of thought when first meeting the crew.
Their stories ran deeper to a point in their life where they were broken until coming together to be fixed. They compliment each other in more ways than one and trusted each other with their lives.
"...then you met Hera and the crew," I continued, green orbs looking up from shamefulness.
"...and did amazing things that people who fear the Empire and the virus could never do. You stood up for yourself and others who don't have a say," I said, smirking a bit, "I think that's pretty amazing."
Kanan actually chuckled despite the situation we were still in and revealing his dark past.
"When did you learn to be so wise," he joked. My smirk only grew and easily replied, "I learned from the best."
Our moment ended once the phony, that deems himself as my father, walked in.
"I have great news to announce," he said before I could let out a remark. A Chesire smile blossomed on his face, creeping me out.
"What news?" Kanan asked, glaring at the man.
The phony hummed before saying, "Congratulations for hiding this long rebels, but I'm afraid to say that your base has been found."
