Chapter 2

Second Sister's P.O.V

The soul eater continues growing slowly after his tenth meal. It felt odd following a mere child around as he swallowed his victims without any remorse, just hunger for more. Hunger for power and destruction.

The only reason I still follow is for revenge for all those who wronged me by starting with the source of all this misery.

He still roams this rock we called home is now history and all that is left is the pain they left me. The shame and trickery I was as an oblivious child is gone. I will never let anyone blind me from the cruel truth again.

Humans will pay for their selfish desires by replacing it with ours. My master and I are not very different. We will show everyone the pain they caused and the rejection they gave us, it will soon be returned.

And what a delicious victory that will be.

"Second Sister," Master called. I respectably stood straight and replied, "Yes, Master?"

"Where is he?" the cannibalistic witch asked, leaving me confused.

"Who?" I asked, placing my hand on my hip. Pitch black eyes turned to look at me and a green glow surrounded the seven year old's body. His grip on his last prey's shirt released and sending the lifeless corpse on the ground.

"The being who controls all of life and death, creation and destruction. The one who made this mess," the Soul Eater explained impatiently.

"I do not know what you are talking about. Didn't that asteroid create all of those creatures, kill the weak, and reawaken our ancestors powers?" I asked. The Soul Eater growled angrily before the undying pain began.

It felt as though my insides were tearing apart and my soul twisted into knots. I tried not to scream but my shrieks could be heard from miles away. Agony. Torment. Misery. It was all placed into this...this dark and cold power.

Then it stopped and I fell to my knees, trying to catch my breath again. Blood dropped from my mouth as small feet entered my hazy vision.

I looked up at the pale face of death itself and knew this child wanted to kill me. He didn't want anything to do with me except as a guide to someone with great power.

Possibly, has more power than my master.

"I do not take stupid minds, Second Sister. You clearly don't have one unlike Fifth Brother and Seventh Sister. You have valuable information that I need but you do not see the whole truth quite yet. You know who it is, just don't know it yet. Once you find out, lead me to the One," he said.

Master turned and continued walking through the dead trees towards the mountains. I gathered my strength and quickly followed behind.

Once he is through with me...I'm his next meal.

Ezra's P.O.V

I heard the door open but didn't look up. Every time that my eyes meet those familiar blue of my father's, the lie becomes more the truth. I was beginning to think this man was truly my father, my own dad conceived by the Empire.

It didn't explain how he isn't an Infected. It didn't explain how he joined these idiots that somehow over threw everything at its weakest moment. Yet, if this really is dad then where is mom? Why isn't she here with dad?

Millions of thoughts raced through my mind and didn't notice my wrists and ankles were free from restriction. I finally noticed that I was  forcefully pulled—dragged out of the cell and into the hallway.

"Hey, what's going on?" I asked, annoyed, kicking and flailing around my legs around. The stormtroopers kept silent and tightly gripped my arms until we arrived in another cell. Why the heck did I just leave a cell to them be placed into another?

They locked me back up with a bit of a fight until I faced a mirror. The stormtroopers left and the phony walked came into view, front and center.

"Are you really that stupid? Dragging me from a cell and into another with a mirror to interrogate me? Wow, I'm terrified," I said, sarcastically. He hummed and slowly nodded his head.

"Tell me, what you see in the mirror?" He asked.

"An idiot's back. Is that a bald spot I see?" I snarked but he was unfazed.

"I don't need a mirror to see the true monster locked up right in front of me. The creation of chaos and destruction of life," he said, swooning at the thought before gesturing to the mirror.

"This is no normal mirror but a special one-way window that can become clear with a press of a button. I want to show you something... interesting before we begin our talk."

"Whatever you have on the other side, I am not afraid of it. You are not going to get any information out of me. Not today, not tomorrow and definitely, not ever," I replied. This only made the fake smile wickedly.

"I love it when prisoners play 'hard to get,'" He cooed then pressed a button. The mirror became clear as a window and showing what was on the other side in the same position as me but worse.

My eyes widened and body stiff as a board. There was a burning sensation in my eyes but held it back to not please the sick man next to me. I shuddered and tried not to puke.

I pulled and yanked on my restraints, needing to break the barrier.

"KANAN!" I yelled, trying to see if he was still responsive and begging to be alive. Blood gushed from the top of his head and arms as his body hung limp from the restraints. Cuts and bruises littered everywhere that could be seen, wearing only shredded pants.

"What did you do to him?!" I yelled, outraged. A cold wave washed over me and a dark power gushed in the palm of my hands.

"It's not my fault you wouldn't answer my questions, now is it? He is alive...for now," the phony said, shrugging.

"Alas, there was something very...interesting that we came to see—well, see nothing. Tell me, do you think it may have something to do with the Infected's disappearances?"

"What are you even talking about?" I asked, hissing at the imperial.

"The rebel...Kanan, you called him?" My "dad" questioned and I glared.

"He has not transformed since the big disappearance of the Infecteds."
