Tuesday Night 23:00
I feel the car slow to a stop and I open my eyes to see where we are. Buildings laced the streets and there are people everywhere, even at eleven at night. Blaring music echoes the streets as I turn to Charlie who smiles softly at me.
"We have arrived at our final destination, my sweet, sweet, Bloody Mary." He speaks and holds out his hand as he gracefully gets out of the car. I watch as he closes the car door behind him and then walks around to my side to open my door for me. "My lady." He smiles and assists me out of the car after I unbuckle myself from my seat.
"Thank you." I smile at him and then turn to face the building as he closes the car door behind me. "You are such a kind gentle being." I comment softly with a light curl in my lips.
"You know I try to be," He smiles and walks to stand next to me as the car drives away. "So, what method shall we use to claim our victims now?" He asks, nudging me gently with his right arm.
"How about I spy?" I suggest and turn my head to look at Charlie. His eyebrows furrow and squeeze inwards as he begins to think about that idea. "At least it is random and it could be fun~" I curl the corner of the right side of my mouth into a smirk and I can see that he is thinking what I am thinking.
"I like how you think." He speaks with a light smirk and then he reaches down to grasp my hand with his. "Now let us go in, our buffet awaits." Charlie speaks, looking forwards before walking towards the door.
A man standing at the door to the nightclub stops us by holding out his hand and lifting up a sign that says: "ID?"
"Oh no! I don't know if I have my ID!" I whisper into Charlie's ear, but he stops me before I can say anything more. A smile paints his face and he appears almost sane.
"No worries Mary, I have this covered." He whispers back and reaches into his pocket. He pulls out two cards that appear to be drivers licenses and he hands them over to the guy standing at the door. The man looks them over before nodding and then eventually handing them back to Charlie.
"You may enter." The man speaks and opens the door for us to enter into the building.
"Thank you sir." Charlie smiles at the man before guiding me into the building. I remain silent and simply smile at the man as I too enter into the building.
The inside of the nightclub is as loud as the outside is. It is dark inside, yet the lights are bright and can blind anyone who stares too long into them. Giant speakers blast loud music and it is evident that the glasses set on tables are also dancing with the loud music.
"Why are we here? It is too loud to concentrate." I pull on Charlie's shirt as we look around, something about being here makes me feel as though we were certainly going to be captured.
"This is the perfect place to be my sweet Mary." He speaks, refusing to use the Bloody part of his song in public. "The loud music will cover the sounds of our screaming victims." He responds and guides me along towards the bar. "Now, would you like a drink? I will fit the bill if you are worried about the price."
"I guess I will take a Manhattan then." I smile as I then slide onto a vacant bar stool. "Thank you for your generosity." I speak with a soft tone and lean my arms against the bar's countertop.
"Ah, I will do anything for my sweet Mary, you should know this by now." He comments softly and then reaches for the bartender's attention. "Hi! Can I get a beer and a Manhattan please?" He speaks in a calm manner and the bartender smiles and nods at him, "thanks." Charlie speaks before he sits onto the seat next to me. "So, do you want to go first or shall I go first?" He asks, turning to me, his crooked smile returning to his face.
"I will spy first and you do the deed." I speak, for I do not wish to be the first to do the monstrous deed, at least not yet of course. If it does go horribly wrong, I would want to be the first one out of there, not stuck trying to figure out how to clean up my mess.
"Alright then, do your spying." He comments with a light chuckle in his tone, he sounds as though he is enjoying this, and inside he is definitely terrifying me.
"Alright fine, I'm going... let us see...." I begin as my eyes gaze around the room at all the different people and faces around us. "I spy with my little eye..." I continue to look around, searching for the perfect target for Charlie to kill. "Something that is blue."
I turn to him and he looks at me, his eyes look as though his thirst for blood has grown even stronger now.
"I spy with my little eye..." He begins and then stands from his seat. "Something that is blue..." he reiterates my statement, wandering around before disappearing into the crowd of bodies.
"Here are your drinks, miss," the bartender's voice startles me a bit and I jump. I turn to face him and smile softly.
"Oh, thank you." I comment with a smile and take the drinks from him. I place Charlie's down by his seat and then I take a sip from mine. My eyes scan the crowds searching for Charlie, but I can't see him. I take another sip of my drink and slowly my heart begins to drop. He is probably taking this time to get away! That dick face! I growl to myself before noticing his familiar ginger hair bobbing up from behind the crowds. Oh good, he hasn't ditched me to take all of the blame. That's a relief. I smile and take more sips of my drink before watching as he disappears again, but this time it appears as though he is with a woman who is wearing a blue shirt of some sort. At least he got the blue right.
I swirl around and lean against the counter of the bar as I wait for Charlie to return.
Minutes pass and he still is not yet back. My mind begins to worry and my drink is completely empty now. Gyah! I need to pee! I grab the bartender's attention and ask him for the location of the bathroom, he points his finger to a sign that clearly says WASHROOMS and I thank him. I gracefully leap from my seat and head over there as fast as I humanly can go.
"Oh gosh... I don't know if I am able to make it or not...." I grip the handle of the bathroom door and go to turn it, but it does not move. "Ahh for fucks sake it is locked! Of course it is locked!" I growl inside my head and then I lean against the wall next to the door. "Now what are you going to do?" I mumble to myself before a dark shadow blocks the blinding dance floor lights from hitting me.
"Maybe I can help you...? Such a pretty lady mustn't bear such a pain." A man's voice speaks before the body to the voice completely overtakes me, his eyes stare at me with intensity and his breath reeks of alcohol. Oh man... he's probably a psychotic drunk. I really attract the best people don't I?
"Ahh... no thank you. I am all good." I comment and try to move from his grasp, his heavy breathing makes me scrunch up my nose for his breath stinks and I really do not wish to smell it any longer. "Can you... uhm... maybe let me go? Please?" I try to plead with him, for he does not seem to get the message I am sending him as he still is refusing to move from over top of me.
"Awe... but I want to make sure you are okay though..." He continues, but I don't want to hurt him, even though I could probably get away with self defence, it could still be bad for Charlie. The drunk reaches closer and I close my eyes, turning my head to the side. I really don't want him to touch me, but what else am I to do?
I hear a familiar growl before a gust of wind brushes by me, and all of a sudden, I can no longer smell the drunk's disgusting stench of his alcohol breath. I turn and open my eyes to see that Charlie had just tackled the man away from me.
My eyes widen slightly as Charlie stands over the man's body, I can only assume that he had pushed him into the adjacent wall and accidentally snapped his neck. I can see that the drunk's chest is no longer moving, and Charlie turns to me with a worried look on his face.
"Are you alright?" He asks, grasping my hand into his. Somehow, I feel safe with him.
"I am, thank you." I smile and nod, but my heart is still racing, I still feel as though something is going to go terribly wrong.
"That is good," Charlie comments before turning back to the man. He releases my hand and crouches down to the man's neck. "I need to make sure that he is for sure dead." He comments in a low tone before pulling out a small pocket knife from his pants pocket. He then slits the man's throat and watches as he bleeds out on the floor. Charlie then wipes the blood off of the knife and onto the man's clothes before closing it and placing it back into his pocket. "We need to leave now, there is no time to call my driver, I saw a hotel nearby that we can spend the night at. Let's go!"
Charlie grabs my hand and quickly escorts me out of the nightclub. I smile at the bouncer as we pass and then I follow Charlie down the sidewalk.
"My shoes were not made for walking so far." I complain as I hold onto Charlie for support. He looks back at me and smiles.
"I know my sweet Bloody Mary, but we are almost there, I promise." His tone is soft, and just as he finishes speaking, we arrive at the fabulous hotel that he had spoken of. "Ah, we are here." He gasps lightly and guides me inside.
The hotel is decorated like your average hotel, a neutral colour on the walls and square furniture all around. Charlie tells me to stay by the door while he goes to get a room, and so I do. I find a vacant seat and sit in it, casually listening to the low volumed radio station music that the hotel has playing over the PA system.
My mind drifts away slowly and soon, my vision begins to go too. I panic and cling onto the seat of my chair. I want to scream but nothing comes out. I look up to where Charlie is and he looks back at me with a devilish grimace on his face. I fell for his trick again didn't I? I am such a fool. I let a loose growl escape from my lips, yet it still makes no sound.
Eventually, Charlie walks over to me, showing the key that is in his hand and jingles it above my head.
"Are you ready to have the best night of your beautiful life?" He speaks, yet all I hear in his tone are muffles of sounds. He smiles as I do not respond, he then bends over and picks me up. "I shall be your knight in shining armour and carry you away to your magnificent castle, my dear princess." He speaks as though everything is fine, but my vision and hearing fades more. And soon enough, everything is dark and silent.
Is this the end?
