four, "vàminos, let's go!"

Wally threw a piece of popcorn in the air, catching it in his mouth. He was fidgeting quite a bit, well, at least more than normal. Once everyone got here he was going to be a nervous wreck at this rate.

Ever since Richard had told him that Bruce was leaving Earth for who knows how long, and that Wally and the team had to come keep Richard company he had been like this. He had to tell the team that he was... exclusive.

He and the ebony had talked about it, realizing that Richard should be introduced as Wally's boyfriend, not revealing his identity as Robin. And thus made Wally run to Mount Justice in the morning to tell everyone once they arrive.

And they were almost all there.

M'gann Mo'rrez, Connor Kent, and Kaldur'ahm had all either arrived or woken up there, and now they were just waiting on Artemis Crock. Wally threw more popcorn into his mouth, almost choking on it.

"Recognized, Artemis B-05." A feminine robotic voice came over the loud speakers and Wally rushed to the Zeta Tube room, leaving his popcorn in the kitchen.

"You're here!" Wally exclaimed, biting his cheek.

"Obviously, Baywatch. You texted me about an emergency meeting?" Artemis Crock's blonde hair was brushed straight, not slicked up in her usual ponytail.

Wally zipped around the mountain, alerting every team member to meet in the Zeta Tube room immediately before heading there himself. "Yeah, and then you ignored my message until M'gann told you that Batman had told her about it!" He pouted, just as the other team members walked in.

The blonde girl laughed, rolling her eyes. "And you expect me to believe you? Last time I came in here because of an 'emergency' you and Robin were waiting with paintball guns! My clothes were pink for weeks."

"Hey! It suited you." Wally snorted, his eyes twinkling.

"You needed to talk, Wally?" Kaldur asked, standing beside Artemis. When Wally said nothing, he added on. "Batman asked you to?"

Wally's hands twitched, energy longing to get out. He gulped nervously, though he had nothing to be nervous about. "So... I want you guys to meet someone."

The pain would be gone, finally.

He stretched his arms, peering over the edge. It would be fast. Everything would go black and he'd finally be free. He'd finally get to see his parents again.

His bare feet were frozen from the cold wind, his toes peeking over the edge of the roof. He pulled off his hoodie, ready to do it.

The hoodie was Wally's. The redhead had given it to him on their first date, after he had spilled his milkshake on his own. Wally has never asked for it back.

He stepped down from the ledge, his body working against his brain. He shouldn't be doing this. He couldn't.

He folded the hoodie, placing it down carefully, and stepped back up. He had to. It was better for everyone. All he needed to do was jump.

"Someone's actually dating you? This isn't a prank?" Artemis exclaimed, faking surprise.

"We're happy for you two." Kaldur smiled, ignoring Artemis' gawking.

"Thank you. But the reason I told you this is because something happened to him. We just need to keep him company until he gets back from his mission." Wally stated.

"Why does Batman need us to do this? Where are Richard's parents?" M'gann asked sweetly.

"I asked Batman if we could do this. I thought you all would enjoy meeting my boyfriend," Wally grinned at the label, "And his adoptive father's gonna be out of town, I thought it'd be fun."

"Why do we need to watch him? He's old enough to watch himself?" Connor asked the question that was on all their minds.

Wally quieted at that, seeming to be in thought. "He was in an accident. He's fine now, but we still need to make sure nothing happens to him."

The team nodded grimly, no one having the courage to ask for more details. "Well, what are we still doing here? Let's go!" Artemis beamed, heading toward the Zeta Tube.

Conner just shrugged in M'gann's direction, and everyone followed after the blonde.
