Until We Meet Again (Short-Fic) Part 1.
OC: Lyra (Not to be confused with my OC Lylah.) Lyra is another of my new OCs.
Some of you will recognize this, as I had it published a while back. Its set in season 7 (Although the timeline is a bit wonky I didn't feel like going back and rewatching when I wrote this.) in the wish realm. Theres a lot of KnightRook feels in here. There WILL be a part two. I just don't know when.
Lyra had watched the pirate closely the last few times he had come to the market, She saw what others did not. He thought he was sneaky but she saw him pocket a few items here and there, but the day he decided to steal from her shop was the day that she would put a stop to it. So here she was, cloaked and staying hidden in the shadows as she followed him through the woods. She wondered just what the infamous Captain Hook was up to when he was stealing from her shop. She was a toy maker, what on earth would he want with her things, and just where was he going? This had so far been an incredibly long journey and Lyra found herself having to stop a couple of times along the way but she was excellent at tracking not only was she a toy maker, she was a hunter as well, living on her own she had to fend for herself and she was fast to learn just how to do that. Finally the pirate captain came to a stop at a tall stone tower.
"Oh..for heaven's sake.. Here. of all places." Lyra hissed to herself not only had she been exhausted from the journey she was going to have to climb this ridiculous tower to retrieve her stolen goods and she wasn't one for heights. Watching the pirate climb up the tower was enough to make her squeamish. Once the Captain had climbed the tower, Lyra approached it she ran her hand over the stone and examined it deciding the best way to approach this. Trees she could handle, towers? This was going to be a challenge. She sighed and went to climb but heard a small voice coming from the top of the tower.
"Its not fair! Why can't I leave?!" She saw a small girl come to the window and she quickly ducked back into the the woods to make sure not to be seen.
Not only had the Captain stolen from her, he had a child being held in that tower against her will and that was not going over well with Lyra. Her mission to retrieve stolen goods had suddenly turned into a rescue mission. She clutched the silver pendant around her neck and her sea green eyes clouded over with loss. She would save this child if it was the last thing she did.
♞♜
Lyra waited until nightfall until everything was quiet and the lights in the tower were out before she started to make her way up. Climbing the tower was tedious and she nearly slipped a couple of times and she had to hold in a sigh of relief when she finally made it to the top. She climbed through the window quietly. The light from the moon illuminated the room just enough so she could see the Captain asleep in a hammock. She crept past him thankful that hunting had made her incredibly stealthy and light on her feet. Perhaps if Lyra hadn't been focused solely on saving this child, and if she had taken a moment to look at the room in detail she would have seen a much bigger picture than a girl trapped by a horrid pirate in a tower. She crept across the floor to the small bed and looked down at the sleeping girl she knelt down and nudged the girl softly. The girl blinked her eyes open.
"My name is Lyra. I am here to he-" Lyra couldn't even get the words out before the child let out an ear shattering screech.
"Papa!" The child cried.
"Pa..papa??" Lyra hissed realizing she had made a grave mistake. She was yanked backwards by the the hood on her cloak and thrown against a wall and pinned there by a strong arm and a cold metal hook at the hollow of her throat. The child lit a couple of lanterns in the room.
"Your name." The Captain spat at Lyra.
"Lyra. Its Lyra..please I've made a mistake." Lyra managed to choke out. The tip of the hook pressed more into her throat.
"Papa no!" The girl cried.
"Alice, stay back." Hook warned. Alice put her hands on her hips.
"Papa, you let her explain!" She argued. Hook raised an eyebrow at the child and turned back to Lyra and removed his Hook from her throat.
"You heard the girl, explain." He snapped.
"I thought she was being held prisoner. I was coming to rescue her. I didn't know she was yours." Lyra explained.
"What were you doing outside the tower in the first place?" Hook questioned his bright blue eyes burning holes into hers.
"I have a shop in the market. A shop that you stole from so I followed you hear to reclaim my goods, but now I can see why you took them." Lyra said. "Now, if you will just allow me to go I will be on my way." Lyra said.
Hook sighed and let his arm that was pinning her to the wall fall to his side. Lyra adjusted herself out of his grasp and gave Alice a smile and crouched down to her.
"Thank you for saving my life little one. I came to save you, I didn't expect you to be the one to save me." She said with a laugh.
"Everyone deserves a chance." Alice smiled and handed her the toy that Hook had taken from the shop. "Here, this belongs to you." She said.
"Oh no darling you may keep it." Lyra said and ruffled the girls hair.
"I think that's enough excitement for one night. Back to bed Alice." Hook said.
"Yes, papa." Alice sighed and crawled back into bed.
Lyra walked to the tower window.
"Wait."
Lyra turned. "Yes Captain?" She asked.
"Please, love call me Killian. That was awfully brave of you to sneak into this tower knowing I was in it just to save a child even if she didn't need to be saved." He smirked. "Why?"
"Because I thought she was kidnapped and no parent should know the pain of not being with their child." Lyra replied giving him a sad smile.
"You speak, as if you know the pain yourself." Killian said.
"I must be going Killian, My apologies for waking the two of you." Lyra said as she climbed out the window and made her way down the tower.
♞♜
Alice put the finishing touches on her painting while her papa was putting his boots on.
"Are you going to the market today papa?" Alice asked.
"Yes, starfish. You need to eat something besides marmalade." Killian smiled. Alice could have sworn she could live off of the sticky sweet treat but Killian knew better.
"If you see Lyra would you give her this for me?" Alice asked sweetly and held up a painting. Killian took the painting and smiled ear to ear.
"Aye. I will do my best to see that she gets this." He crouched down and gave Alice a kiss on the top of her head.
"I will return as soon as possible starfish."
"Okay papa." Alice smiled hugging him tightly before turning back to her paints. Killian climbed out of the window and down the tower to make his way to the market in hopes to not only find something for Alice to eat, but to see Lyra again and not just to give her the painting. He couldn't explain why exactly he wanted to see her again but the only thing he had seen every he closed his eyes at night was her beautiful eyes and the sad smile she gave him when she had left the tower just a month ago.
♞♜
Lyra organized a few little trinkets and toys on the shelves as she heard footsteps behind her.
"Be right with you." She mumbled.
"Take your time love."
Lyra felt her lips curve into a smile at the heavily accented voice. The Captain had found her. She was set up in a different part of the market, and he still found her. She turned and smiled at him.
"How did you find me?" She asked.
"I asked around for the woman with hair like a ravens feather and eyes like the sea." Killian smiled. Lyra quirked an eyebrow she was familiar with the tales of the pirate captain and his silver tongue but never thought she would see it for herself.
"I see." She smiled and strolled over to him. "How is Alice?"
"She's great, thank you for asking. Speaking of Alice, She requested I give this to you." He smiled and handed over a rolled up piece of parchment. Lyra unrolled the parchment.
"Oh, Killian its beautiful. She painted this?"
"Aye, I've been teaching her."
"Well you are teaching her well. It's lovely. Tell Alice I said thank you. Oh! And give her this. I just made it this morning." Lyra grinned and handed him a doll.
"Oh I can't accept this." Killian shook his head.
"Its not for you Captain, it's for Alice." Lyra giggled.
"If you insist, then I insist you give it to her yourself." Killian grinned.
"You want me to come with you to the tower?" Lyra asked with a raised brow.
"Aye. I'm sure Alice would be happy to see you as well. She speaks of you often"
"I wouldn't think, me intruding on your home and trying to steal her away would have left a good impression." Lyra smirked.
"Alice sees things differently than most and since she can not leave, I'm sure she would love some other company She's probably tired of seeing only my face every day." Killian chuckled.
"I don't think anyone could tire of seeing your face Captain." Lyra flirted and could have sworn his cheeks took a pink tint. "Why can she not leave?" She asked and cocked her head to the side curiously.
"Come with me, and it will be a tale for the trip?" Killian suggested. Lyra thought for a moment and nodded.
"Alright." She smiled.
♞♜
"What a wicked woman.." Lyra spat in disgust as Killian told the story of how Alice came into the world and why she was trapped in the tower. "How could any mother abandon her child like that?"
"Believe me, that woman may have birthed Alice but she is not her mother." Killian grumbled.
"Poor little one being stuck like that. It's a big beautiful world."
"Aye. I will find a way to free her, but to do that I need to leave her and I can't bring myself to do it." Killian sighed. "I can't leave her there by herself. Not for that long."
"I understand." Lyra said placing her hand on his shoulder sympathetically "You will find a way. I know you will." She smiled. The two of them had stopped in front of the tower. Killian faced her and pushed a lock of her raven hair out of her eyes. His hand brushed her cheek. Lyra felt her breath catch in her throat it had been so long since she had felt a man's gentle touch and it brought back some painful memories. She cleared her throat.
"We shouldn't keep Alice waiting." She said and turned from him and began her climb up the tower. Killian frowned making a mental note to try and figure out the reason behind the pain in her eyes when Alice turned in for the night. He joined her in climbing the tower.
Alices eyes widened with delight when not only Killian came through the window, but Lyra too.
"Papa, you brought Lyra!"
"Aye, I did." Killian smiled. "I also brought something green for you to eat."
"Oh Papa, I wish you wouldn't have." Alice sighed and scrunched her nose making Lyra think of a little rabbit.
"I thought the painting was so beautiful I wanted to tell you thank you myself." Lyra smiled and crouched down to the girl and pulled the doll out of her satchel. I also wanted to bring you this."
"Oh she's lovely! Papa look, a new doll!" Alice beamed. Killian smiled.
"What do you say starfish?" Killian asked. Alice nearly knocked Lyra over with the force of her hug.
"Thank you Lyra!" She squealed.
"You are welcome Alice." Lyra smiled and embraced the child missing the feeling of Tiny arms hugging her neck.
Alice felt a drop fall onto her arm. She pulled away and tilted her head to the side and frowned.
"Why are you crying?" She asked.
Lyra wiped the tears from her eyes.
"A story for another day little one. Go on, play I will see if I can help your papa prepare dinner."
Alice smiled. "Okay. Do try to convince him to leave out the vegetables." She said and stuck out her tongue.
"I will do my best. My papa always made me eat them too." Lyra giggled.
♞♜
After dinner, and a few rounds of chess with Alice defeating them both Lyra watched as Killian tucked the child into bed. He sang softly to her lulling her to sleep. Killian placed a kiss on the child's forehead and turned out the lantern beside her bed. He stood and Lyra followed him to the fireplace. Killian turned to face her the glow from the fire illuminated his features and the silver streaks in his hair. He smiled softly at her.
"Alice really enjoyed your visit. Anytime you want to come by. Please, don't hesitate."
Lyra returned his smile. "Of course. She's a lovely child. You're very lucky." The pained look in her eyes returned.
"You've lost someone." Killian frowned. "I can see it in your eyes."
"I've lost many someones Killian." Lyra said as she sat in front of the fire.
"First my husband, he fell ill and never recovered." Lyra said and watched the flames dance.
"I'm terribly sorry love." Killian sat beside her and put his hand over hers. "I have..a feeling that, that is not the only tragedy you have faced. You've lost a child too."
Lyra looked up at him with teary eyes. "How did you know?"
"You are so great with Alice, you have a mother's touch." Killian replied.
"I had a son. Jacob." Lyra smiled. "He was stolen away in the night. Gone without a trace. He wasn't the only boy taken from my village many mothers woke up that morning to empty beds." Lyra frowned at the painful memories. Killian put his arm around her shoulder and held her closely. He couldn't imagine the pain she felt. If someone took Alice from him he would surely lose his mind. He had no words he could think of to possibly make her feel better so he sat with her letting her know he was there at least.
Lyra wiped her eyes and leaned her head on his shoulder.
"You know, of all the tales I've heard of the fearsome Captain Hook, I never imagined you would be so kind."
"Perhaps you just haven't heard the right tales." Killian smiled he rested his hook under her chin tilting her head up to look in her eyes the reflection of the fire in her irises almost gave them a magical glow.
"Maybe..you could tell me some then.." Lyra said softly. Killian leaned in. Lyra did too and they were just about to kiss when they were interrupted but a muffled squeal. The two of them whipped their heads in the direction of Alice's bed where the child was laying on her belly at the end of the bed with eyes widened and a hand clasped over her mouth.
"Alice.." Killian sighed. "You tricky little thing you were supposed to be asleep."
"Just pretend I am!" Alice beamed. Lyra tried to hide a giggle. She stood up. "I really should be getting home."
"Wait, no you can stay." Alice pouted.
"I will come back I promise." Lyra smiled.
"Okay." Alice sighed.
"Goodnight little one." Lyra said and waved at Alice and turned to Killian.
"Goodnight Captain." She smirked. Killian gave her a grin as she climbed out the tower window before turned to Alice with a stern look.
"I'm sorry papa." Alice frowned.
"Its okay, its just not polite to listen in on people's conversations Alice."
"You almost kissed her Papa. Like in the books when the characters like each other." Alice said and gave him a sly smile.
"Alright you. Back to bed." Killian smirked.
Alice giggled "Yes papa." She said and crawled back under her blankets.
"Its sad..about her boy." Alice frowned.
"I know love." Killian said.
"He must be so frightened papa, I would be if I was lost too."
"He isn't lost love, he was sto-" Killian started to say but then the pieces came together.
Lost. Boy.
"Alice love you are incredible." Killian grinned and kissed his child on the cheek.
"What did I do?" Alice asked confused.
"I know exactly where Jacob is."
"Well you have to tell her!" Alice squealed.
"Aye. I will. Papa is going to make another trip to the market tomorrow." Killian said.
.♞♜
Lyra was getting her things together and preparing to leave the market and make the trip home the next evening.
"Lyra!" Killian shouted from across the stoned street. Lyra turned.
"Killian? It's getting late what are you doing out here? you should be with Alice."
"Aye and you should be with Jacob." He smiled approaching her.
"That.. is not funny." She scowled.
"Oh. No, love it wasn't meant to be. I meant..I know where he is."
Lyra dropped everything in her hands.
"What? Where??"
"I meant to come earlier, but I had to make a few stops.." Killian sighed.
"Killian! Focus, Jacob where is he??" She asked.
"Alice helped me piece it together. He was stolen with other boys that night. I know of one bloody little demon who is known for that."
"Who?" Lyra asked.
"Peter Pan." Killian said with a darkened expression.
"Where is this Peter? How do I find him?" Lya asked desperately.
"Neverland." Killian replied. Lyra's face dropped and she sank to her knees. She had heard of this Neverland and if this is where Jacob was he was lost to her forever. She had no way to get there.
"Why would you tell me this? How would I ever get to Neverland."
"By way of bean." Killian smirked and held up a glowing sparkling bean between his thumb and pointer finger.
"Is.. is that?" Lyra gasped.
"Aye. A magic bean. Incredibly hard to come by, unless you know someone. Which I do."
"Killian.. This..,I can't accept this."
"You can. You deserve to be with your son and with this you can." He said and placed the bean in her hand and closed her fingers around it.
"Thank you. Thank you so much.I have to go home and get a few things." Lyra said.
"Let me walk you home."
"Oh but you should be with Alice. I can make it." Lyra smiled.
"Alice practically threw me out of the tower to get here. I believe the lass is fine." Killian chuckled and offered his arm. Lyra took his arm.
"Lead the way." Killian smiled.
♞♜
Lyra lead him to her cabin in the woods. She opened the door and lit the cabin. Killian looked around the homey space and smiled imagining what it would be like if Alice wasn't trapped in a tower. Lyra began walking around the cabin and packing things into her satchel. Including the painting that Alice had made. His daughter meant so much to this woman that she was bringing a piece of her to Neverland. He suddenly felt saddened. Lyra leaving to neverland meant there was a good chance that neither he or Alice would see her again. Lyra walked over with a stuffed toy rabbit.
"I was working on this, for Alice for her birthday. I finished it this morning Please give it to her and tell her that I will think of her often." Lyra smiled with a tear in her eye.
"Of course." Killian said and wiped the tear before it could fall. "She will love this. And I know she will miss you."
Lyra rested her forehead on Killians chest and sniffled. "I know, it's foolish to think but I feel like I'm leaving one child behind for another. I love that little girl of yours."
"She has that effect love." Killian said and ran his hand through her Raven locks. Lyra looked up at him.
"This is goodbye isn't it?" She asked. Killian nodded.
"I'm afraid it is." He cupped her cheek in his hand. "There's not a day that will go by that I wont think of you Lyra." He smiled.
"Good." Lyra smirked. Killian couldn't hold it off any longer. His lips crashed into hers and the two of them felt a fire inside that neither of them had felt in so very long. Lyra pulled away breathlessly.
"Something to remember me by." Killian smiled. Lyra pulled the satchel off her shoulder and set it aside.
"What are you doing?" Killian asked.
"Giving you something to remember me by." Lyra whispered and unlaced her dress pushing it from her shoulders and letting it fall to the floor in a pool around her ankles. She waltzed back to Killian and caught his lips with hers. If it was going to be goodbye than Lyra would make sure to make it count.
♞♜
Lyra pulled her dress back on and watched as Killian dressed himself.
"Anything you need, the Cabin is yours." Lyra smiled. "Take the food, whatever you wish."
"Thank you love. I will see that it is taken care of." Killian said and brushed his thumb across her cheek.
"Killian.. We don't have time to say goodbye again." Lyra giggled and nuzzled into his neck.
"I know love." Killian said and handed her her satchel. Lyra placed the satchel over her shoulder and followed Killian outside of the cabin.
"How does it work?" She asked looking at the bean in her hand.
"You throw it to the ground and think of where you want it to take you." Killian replied.
"I can never repay you for this Killian." Lyra sighed.
"You can by being with your boy." Killian smiled. "Go on."
"Wait. Before I go." Lyra said.
"As much as I would love to say goodbye a second, maybe a third time even you must be going." Killian smirked.
Lyra giggled.
"No, I've heard stories of a fish hook, with magical powers."
"Aye, Maui's fish hook every sailor knows the tale." Killian said.
"It might be strong enough magic to free Alice from the Tower." Lyra suggested. "I happen to know, that it is in the possession of Captain Ahab."
"How did you come by this knowledge?" Killian asked.
"As you said, You have to know people..and I do." Lyra smirked. "I have faith Killian. I know somehow you and Alice will be free from that tower someday and perhaps someday we will all be together." Lyra smiled.
"It sounds like a lovely ending to our story love."
"Not an ending, a beginning." Lyra said as she threw the bean on the ground. "Until we meet again Captain." She said and kissed him on the cheek before running into the portal.
♞♜
Years Later .
"Are we really home mother?" the dark haired boy asked. Lyra looked around the familiar surroundings and smiled.
"Yes, Jacob. We are." She said softly.
The boy threw his arms around his mother happily. "I knew we'd come home. I just knew it. Now we can find that Pirate Captain you talked about, and the girl." Jacob beamed. Lyra crouched down to Jacob.
"Oh darling that was many years ago, We may not have aged a day, but they surely have. I don't know if they are still around." She said sadly.
Jacob frowned.
"Come now, let's go home." Lyra smiled and ruffled his dark hair and stood taking his small hand in hers walking him to the cabin.
"Do you think my toy horse that papa made is still there?" Jacob asked.
"I'm sure it is." Lyra smiled as they came upon their home in the woods. Jacob ran ahead excitedly.
"Jacob wait for mum!" Lyra shouted and chased after the boy. Jacob pushed the door to the Cabin open and there was a startled shriek coming from inside. Lyra hurried inside and held her son back from whoever was intruding in the Cabin. She looked at the young woman with blonde curls and bright blue eyes.
"What are you doing in my home?" Lyra hissed.
"You're home?" The woman questioned and then gasped. "Oh Gods..Lyra! Its you! It's really you!" The blonde squealed and threw her arms around Lyra. Lyra pulled away confused.
"Oh silly me, Papa always said it's rude to skip introductions. Its me, Alice!" She exclaimed. Lyra reached out and touched Alice's face her eyes welled with tears.
"Gods.. Alice!" She cried. "You've gone and grown up!" She choked out.
"Aye! And..you you haven't." Alice said.
"Oh, no. I've been in Neverland. Your papa didn't tell you that's where the bean was taking me?" Lyra asked.
"He didn't have much time." Alice frowned. "He came home going on about a way to free me from the tower." Alice said.
"Maui's fish hook. So it worked!" Lyra smiled.
"Actually.. No. Papa returned with the fish hook, but the witch she poisoned his heart and now we can't be too close or he gets hurt." Lyra frowned.
"Oh..I'm so sorry Alice." She said. "But..if your papa didn't free you. Who did?"
"A Troll." Alice smiled. "But that's a story for a different day. Come! Papa will be so excited you've returned. I can show you where he is without getting too close." Alice beamed. Jacob looked up at the girl.
"Are you the starfish momma talks about?" He asked cutely.
"The very same." Alice said and winked at the boy. "You must be Jacob."
Jacob gasped.
"Mum! She knows me!"
"Of course she does darling." Lyra smiled and then looked at Alice. "Your papa is..well how do I put this.. He's still around?"
"Well of course he is. Looking better than ever if you ask me." Alice grinned. "Come on, you'll see. Alice grinned and took her hand leading her out of the cabin excitedly.. Jacob ran to catch up and grabbed Lyra's hand.
"Don't leave me behind!" He protested.
"I wouldn't dream of it Jacob." Lyra smiled down at her boy.
♞♜
Lyra looked up at the palace and turned back to Alice with uncertainty.
"You're papa is in there?" She asked. Alice nodded.
"Yes, he's with Henry, and Ella and their little girl, and Regina and Nobin too!" Alice smiled.
"Nobin?" Lyra asked with a chuckle.
"Robin. Oh you will love her she's brilliant." Alice beamed with a twinkle in her eye.
"Oh, she is, is she?" Lyra smirked. Alice blushed.
"Okay, but how am I going to get into the palace?" Lyra asked
"Through the front door." Alice shrugged as if it couldn't have been more obvious.
"I'm sure the men with swords standing out front will have a problem with a stranger walking in." Lyra smiled.
"Oh! Right." Alice said. "Have you got something for me to write with?" Alice asked. Lyra nodded and reached into her satchel for a piece of parchment and a quill and ink. Alice crouched down to Jacob and placed the parchment on his back and dipped the quill in ink and started writing.
"Do I look like a writing desk?" Jacob asked.
"No, you do not. What a silly question." Alice said. Lyra chuckled. "But do you know why a raven is like a writing desk?" Alice asked.
"No." Jacob replied. Alice shrugged.
"Hm. Me either."
She rolled the parchment up and handed it to Lyra. "Give this to the guards." She smiled. "Tell papa hi for me."
"Of course Alice." Lyra smiled and gave her a hug. "I promise If I can, I will help break this curse over your Papa's heart."
"I know." Alice smiled. "Now go."
Lyra took Jacobs hand and walked with him up to the palace doors.
"I..was told to give this to you." She said and handed the scroll to the guard. The guard opened the scroll and looked at Lyra skeptically.
"This only says, 'She's nice, let her in, signed Alice.'" The guard said.
Lyra turned back and looked at Alice in the distance.
"Really??" She sighed.
"I need to see Captain Jones. I know he's in there. His daughter said so."
"I don't think so. With all the talk of a new curse coming. I can't just be letting anyone in."
Lyra sighed. "Okay then." She said and opened her satchel and pulled out a vile of red dust.
"What is this?" The guard asked.
"This? Oh its crushed poppies." Lyra shrugged and poured the dust in her hand and blew it in the guards faces. The men collapsed. Jacob gasped.
"Momma you can't just kill people!" He exclaimed.
"I didn't kill them, they are sleeping. Now come on." She smiled and led the boy into the palace. She came to a set of double doors and opened them. She was instantly met with an arrow pointed directly at her throat.
"Honestly, Alice said this would be easy." She sighed.
"How do you know Alice?" The girl with the bow asked narrowing her eyes.
"I knew her a long long time ago. I'm here to see her papa. Is Killian here?"
"Nook? You are here for Nook?"
"Nook? Who the devil is Nook? I need to see Captain Jones." Lyra sighed.
"Robin what on earth are yo-Lyra?"
Lyra turned her head and saw her blue eyed Pirate Captain staring at her in disbelief.
"Killian? How.. you look.."
"You know her?" Robin asked.
"Yes put the bow down she is a friend." Killian said approaching them. Robin put her bow down.
"I hope I'm more than just a friend." Lyra smirked. Killian wasted no time grabbing Lyra by the waist and planting his lips on hers. Jacob threw his hands over his eyes.
"You're telling me kid. Come on. There's birthday cake out here." Robin said and held her hand out.
"I like cake." Jacob smiled and took her hand.
"I see you found your boy." Killian smiled and pressed his forehead to hers.
"That I did. I don't understand. Alice, she grew up, but you...you got younger." Lyra giggled.
"That I did." Killian smirked.
"I miss the silver." Lyra pouted. "Now I feel old."
"Aye well give it a few years love. How on earth did you get out of neverland?"
"Faith, trust and a little bit of pixie dust?" Lyra smirked. "Now what is this I heard about a curse?"
"We can talk of the curse later. For now..." Killian grinned and captured her lips with his again.
"Wait...Jacob..where did Jacob go?"
"I'd imagine the lad is eating his weight in cake. There is a princess with a birthday today." Killian smiled. "Don't worry I assure you he is safe." He said and took her hand leading her away.
♞♜
Lyra laid her head on Killians chest and placed her hand over his heart and frowned.
"What is it love?" Killian asked pressing a kiss to her temple.
"Alice tells me your heart has been poisoned."
"Aye, I worry with this new curse coming I am further away from figuring out how to break my own."
"What is this new curse going to do?" Lyra asked.
"Its going to strip us of our memories, and take us to a land without magic." Killian frowned.
"We will figure it out. I know we will." She smiled and rest her head back onto his chest. The door was slammed open.
"Nook we nee-Oh. My God." Robin said and put her hand over her eyes.
"Oi! Robin, have you not heard of knocking?" Killian sighed and pulled the blankets up over him and Lyra.
"Have you not heard about putting a sock on the door??" Robin exclaimed. "Come on guys, I know its been years but there's a curse coming like. Right now and you two are doing the nasty!"
"I don't understand.. Nothing about what we just did was nasty." Lyra frowned looking at Hook confused. "I've also never heard of putting a sock on a door, why would anyone do that."
"Love, Robin is from a different realm." Killian explained.
"A strange one, it seems." Lyra said with a raised eyebrow. Robin let out a frustrated sigh.
"Guys. Curse. Coming. Now!!" She yelled.
"Alright, We've heard you. Go on. Go see Alice while you still can." Killian smiled.
"But, Killian.." Robin said.
"Go on. I will be fine. Tell her I love her." He said with a tear in his blue eyes.
"I will." Robin smiled. "Please put pants on, you do not want to get sucked through a curse without pants." Robin said and smirked.
"Oh will you go!" Killian fussed and waved a hand shooing her out of the room.
"See you around Nook." Robin smiled and left the room. Lyra rolled out of the bed.
"I thought we would have more time!"
"Aye. Love.. me too."
"I'm going to lose him again." Lyra cried as she pulled her dress on. Hook dressed himself and took her hand. "Lets go." He said and pulled her along with him and outside to the courtyard.
"Momma!" Jacob cried and threw his arms around her. Lyra scooped him up.
"I'm scared." He cried.
"I know love. But its going to be okay." Lyra smiled not wanting to show that she was scared senseless too. The colored smoke was growing closer and closer Killian pulled Lyra close.
"Whatever happens, Whoever we are in this new world. Know that I love you." He said.
"You.. wh-" Lyra started but Killian pressed his lips to hers and held on as they were engulfed by smoke.
To be continued.
