Chapter Four
Chapter Four:
“I now pronounce you weasel and ferret,” George chuckled at his own words as he finished. The others laughed but Ginny and Draco weren’t even really paying attention. They were together, snogging and not caring about the people watching.
Amélie shook her head. “We’re still here!” She clapped her hands loudly to get their attention.
“C’mon!” Colm huffed.
Draco pulled back and shot the bastard a look. “Jealous?”
“Draco, stop.” Pansy rolled her eyes.
“Now, Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy, it’s time for a little partying.” Blaise grinned.
“No,” Draco shook his head as he pulled Ginny into his arms.
“What?” Neville frowned.
“No,” Draco repeated. “We’re going –” he started to say but Amélie got to her feet and walked to the two of them.
“No,” She glared at him. “You two are coming to dinner and then you two can run off. Not yet.” She told him.
Everyone laughed again; it was on. Malfoy versus Malfoy, it seemed; Draco looked sternly at her but then he couldn’t keep it up. He laughed loudly as he put Ginny back on her feet and pulled his daughter into a hug. “I’m doomed.”
“You got that right,” Ginny laughed.
“Don’t start now,” Amélie shook her head.
Ginny laughed again as she slipped her arm around his waist and whispered, “Later.”
“Definitely,” he promised.
“You two are disgusting,” Amélie frowned as she turned around and suddenly everyone was hugging everyone.
“What a dysfunctional family,” Colm snorted as he looked at them.
“Hey, you’re part of it now,” Pansy told him as she leaned up and kissed him.
“I guess so,” he admitted as they walked towards the married couple.
“Can we sneak away now?” Draco whispered into Ginny's ear as they sat at the table in the Malfoy Manor dining room. Narcissa had taken the old table back and gotten a round table. The dining room was decorated beautifully and everyone was having a great time but Draco was growing restless. He wanted to sneak away with Ginny and just… well, enjoy his wife. The thought brought a smile to his lips.
“Yes, please,” Ginny whispered back.
“Thank you, Merlin,” he leaned forward and brushed his lips against hers. “Let’s go,” he whispered against her lips.
“Not yet,” Amélie whispered besides them.
“Oh c’mon!” Draco slammed his fists against the table.
“Draco, manners,” Narcissa told him from across them.
“Sorry, mother,” he breathed out through clenched teeth.
“Hah!” Colm snorted, “Reprimanded by your mom!”
Draco glared at him. “Go home. What are you doing here anyway?”
“I was invited.” Colm grinned.
“Not by me,” Draco crossed his arms.
“By me,” Pansy smiled cheekily.
“And who invited you?” Draco frowned.
“Draco, that’s enough,” Narcissa spoke up again.
"Who doesn't love a little row," Blaise looked at Mika.
"I love a good row, Daddy!" Mika giggled.
The table laughed, Amélie watched her parents; Draco was glaring at Colm, who glared back but Ginny reached up and ever so softly, brushed her hand across his shoulder and his eyes immediately left Colm for her. The way he looked at her took Amélie's breath away. She wanted someone to look at her like that. She wanted a love like her parents... well, maybe not the seventeen year wait in between, of course.
What are you thinking about with such a face? Thomas whispered into her mind. She looked over at him and grinned. He was looking at her like that; like her dad was looking at her mom. Merlin, Thomas loved her...
"Amélie, can you pass the salt?" Analiese asked two spots to her right and without looking away from Thomas, she pushed it down to the younger girl with just a small thought. She didn't notice the quiet as she looked at Thomas lovingly. He didn't either.
"Holy Merlin's knickers!" Analiese finally called out as the salt stopped in front of her.
Amélie jumped. She looked around to see most of the table watching her. "What?"
"So much for secrets," Kingsley snorted. "It must be a Malfoy thing."
"I resent that," Narcissa shot him a look.
"You'll always be a Black to me, Narcissa." Kingsley shook his head. "I'm talking about your son who doesn't know how to keep a secret if his life depends on it." Amélie knew he was referring to the time that her mom and dad had told each other they'd worked for the Organization and talked about their previous assignments.
"I know how to keep a secret." Draco glared at him.
"Not when Ginny's involved." Kingsley said under his breath. The table laughed.
"If you were muggle, she'd be your kryptonite." Thomas chuckled.
"We're not talking about Superman, Thomas." Draco frowned.
"You know muggle stuff?" Colm ask in surprise. Draco noticed as everyone turned to look at him in surprise.
"A bit..." he cleared his throat. "I reckon we've been her long enough." He got to his feet and Amélie couldn't really blame him. They had been there longer than she'd ever thought they'd be. Now, they'd be off for their honeymoon. Gone for a month. Amélie frowned as she looked at her mother. She was going to miss her and her dad.
Draco held his hand out to Ginny. She accepted it with a smile as she got to her feet as well. She turned to the others and then suddenly, she went pale. She covered her mouth and then she was gone, in the blink of an eye. The twins gasped but everyone else just watched in surprise. Draco held up his finger and then he was gone too.
"What the hell?" Fred asked as he got to his feet.
"D - did you see that? They both disappeared without their wands!" Analiese said with wide eyes but then she frowned when she noticed that no one else was shocked by the couple. "Do everyone else know?"
"Er - kind of," Amélie lied.
"You're a terrible liar, cousin." Analiese rolled her eyes.
"No, it's not that!" Amélie frowned.
"If she told you, she'd have to kill you." Blaise grinned at the teenager.
"Blaise!" A few people screamed.
"Don't threaten my daughter," George glared at the black man.
"For the love of Merlin, Blaise!" Neville crossed his arms at his partner.
"Can you all shut up!" Amélie got to her feet as she looked towards the bathroom where she knew her parents were.
"I was wondering how long it would take." Luna smiled and everyone turned to look at her.
"I'm sorry, Aunt Luna, for yelling." Amélie frowned.
"For - oh! No, that's not what I meant." Luna waved at her niece then returned to her food.
"Er - Luna, this is the time when you explain what you meant." Neville smiled. Luna would never change and that was something that made them all happy. Luna Weasley, née Lovegood; she was a wonder.
"Oh," Luna nodded as she took a bit of her food. "Ginny's -"
"I'm pregnant," Ginny and Draco blinked into the Dining Hall, her hand on her stomach and looked at all the people at the table. "I'm pregnant again."
Ah! Ginny's pregnant! Oh my Merlin! Anyway, just wanted to let you all know there is just one more chapter and this short is finished!! I hope you've enjoyed it so far and expect chapter five tomorrow!! :D
