Epilogue:
Neville waited impatiently on the couch of Ginny’s apartment, eyes glued to the door; his heart racing, worrying, worrying, excessive worrying…
Where were they?
Where had they all run off too?
Where was Blaise? Ginny? Amélie? Draco? Where were they?
His mind raced as he looked at George and Luna on the love seat; her arms thrown around him, trying to protect him from his grief. The Weasley family was dead all except Ginny, Amélie, George, Luna and the twins; everyone else was gone. Gone were the memories, the good and bad times, the best times, maybe even the times that could have come in the future. He reckoned that maybe that was the hardest.
They’d been at Hogwarts visiting the twins and he had been checking on his substitute when the news arrived. His first thought had been Ginny; his best friend and then her daughter, Amélie, who would never know the Weasley clan. They were a stubborn bunch but loving even though they turned their backs on them. Neville knew that it had only been a matter of time before they had come together again but like previously thought, now, that would never happen.
He sighed deeply as he looked to George and Luna’s sixteen year old twin children, Fred and Analiese. Minevra had allowed them to come home for the weekend to spend time with the remaining family. That’s why they were here, on the couch; they were supposed to be spending time with the grieving family but no one was here and that worried him, greatly.
“They’re probably all at the diner,” Luna finally said, breaking the awkward silence.
“I don’t think so…” Neville looked at the door again. “They would have left a note.”
“You don’t suppose…” George started then stopped, clearing his throat. “Trouble?” He mouthed so the twins wouldn’t hear.
“I don’t know,” he answered honestly then jumped to his feet, unable to sit still, he began to pace restlessly.
If they were in trouble, maybe someone was dead. At the thought, his heart dropped to his stomach and he stopped.
“Neville, what’s wrong?” Luna asked but he shook his head and continued pacing.
He couldn’t think like that especially since Cho Chang and Lucius Malfoy were still out there ready to end Ginny and Draco’s lives and take Amélie.
No, no, he absolutely couldn’t think about any of them dead. He took a deep breath and continued his restless pacing when suddenly the living room was filled with people.
Neville jumped back, reaching for his wand when he recognized everyone. He ran to Blaise and pulled him into his arms, inhaling his scent.
“Don’t ever scare me like that again! Where have you been?” Neville cried.
“Ah, about that…” Blaise looked around and suddenly Ginny was falling; Blaise grabbed her and pulled her into his arms. Neville frowned then noticed that Draco’s arms were occupied by an unconscious Amélie but he was glaring at Blaise.
“What the hell happened?” He demanded as he pulled Ginny into his arms and began carrying her to her bedroom, he heard Draco follow him.
He laid Ginny carefully on the bed, Draco lying Amélie right beside her and he sighed as Amélie rolled towards Ginny unconsciously and cuddled up to her mother. Both stood there for a second watching the two but Neville couldn’t wait anymore and dragged Draco out, closing the door silently behind them.
“We’re going to get lunch. Anything specific you’d like?” Luna asked as they came back into the living room.
“Nothing really, thank you.” Draco answered as he ran his fingers through his hair.
“But Mum! Aunt Ginny was covered in blood and they’re both passed out!” Fred started.
“And we want to know why! So why do we have to leave?” Analiese pouted.
“Because you’re underage, now, let’s go.” She grabbed their shirts and pulled them towards the door.
“Don’t you want to know what happened?” Fred asked slyly but Luna ignored him and pulled them through the door, it shut behind them.
“Now –” Neville started but Draco shook his head.
“Give me a second,” he disappeared and reappeared with eight glasses of Firewhiskey. He passed them around and they all took a sip. “Okay,” Draco said as he slid onto the couch and closed his eyes.
“What the bloody hell happened to you all? Ginny’s drenched in blood and Amélie looks exhausted and… and… is that your mother, Malfoy?” Neville stared wide-eyed at Narcissa.
“Yes, I’m Narcissa,” she introduced herself.
“Oh, well, hullo.” He nodded and Draco chuckled from his position on the couch.
“Long story short, Chang and Lucius are dead and Ginny isn’t.” Draco told him then took another sip of his Firewhiskey.
“You don’t suppose you could make that short story a tad bit longer?” Neville asked sarcastically.
Draco groaned, “I’ll let you all discuss it but I will tell you this, George." He said looking at the redhead, "Lucius was responsible for your family’s death and almost Ginny’s. I killed him for that,” he said, finished the remainder of his Firewhiskey then disappeared. They all heard the door to Ginny’s bedroom open and close.
Neville sighed and looked at George to see him staring at Ginny’s closed bedroom door, his eyes filled with tears. He nodded softly in thanks and looked towards the others.
“Well, I guess I’ll start,” Blaise said as he slid on the couch beside Neville and wrapped his arm around his shoulders. “It’s pretty graphic, especially towards the end but what the hell, it’s a story that needs to be told…” and Blaise went off to explain what had happened the last few hours.

Ginny’s eyes opened at the sound of her bedroom door open then close softly. She sat up slowly, still sore from her wounds and from exhaustion.”Draco?” She whispered as she heard someone moving towards the bed.
“I’m here, Red,” he whispered back as he appeared beside her, his hands brushing against her face, her hair, her body as if he was checking to see if she was okay.
“Oh, Draco,” her voice cracked and he sat on the bed and pulled her into his arms. Once she was there she could grieve, open herself up to her feelings, her fears, her pain. He held her tightly as she sobbed in his arms. He didn’t say a word, just held her, continuing to caress her.
A few minutes later, her sobbing subsided and she leaned her forehead against his chest and sighed deeply.
“Feeling better?” He asked and she laughed.
“Yes, I am.” She answered and he lifted her face and softly kissed her lips.
“I love you,” he whispered.
“I love you, too.” She responded then they both turned when they heard rustling from the other side of the bed.
“Mom, Dad?” Amélie’s voice rang from the darkness and Draco’s heart soared.
“Are you okay, baby?” Ginny asked as she turned from Draco and pulled Amélie into her arms. “How do you feel?”
“I’m okay, I’m okay. Mostly just tired,” She yawned.
“You used too much of your power at once especially since you’re still inexperienced.” Draco explained as he brushed a lock of hair away from her face.
“So that wasn’t a dream…” Amélie muttered and then sighed.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Ginny asked as she watched her daughter. “It helped your father and I when we talked about it.” She admitted.
“Yeah, we’re probably the most understanding parents in the world for this sort of thing.” He added.
Amélie chuckled lightly, “that’s true.” She sat back then crossed her legs.
Ginny turned on her bedside table and waited patiently. Amélie had her thinking face on.
Finally, the teenage sighed and looked between her parents. “Are they always that crazy?”
“No,” both Ginny and Draco answered simultaneous. They looked at each other and smiled.
“Have you ever killed someone you knew?” Amélie asked, looking between her parents. Draco was looking thoughtful then looked at Ginny who was grinning slightly.
“Why are you smiling?” Draco asked her.
“I killed his aunt. She was a real piece of work! Crazy, psycho woman! She was my first kill.” Ginny ignored Draco and told Amélie.
“Did it bother you?” Amélie asked.
“Honestly? No, I was definitely making the world a safer place.” Ginny answered honestly.
“You never forget your first kill; whether on assignment or not. I don’t suppose your mother will ever forget her first kill. Bellatrix was worst than Lucius.” Draco sighed.
“Insanity runs in that family,” Ginny whispered to Amélie.
Draco’s eyebrows narrowed and Amélie giggled.
“That’s absurd, Red. They were from two different sides. If what you were saying was true, well, my mother would be insane.” He told her, a frown on his lips. "Me, as well."
“That’s true, I guess,” Ginny sighed.
“As you asked before,” he glared playfully at Ginny, “yes, we’ve known the targets, some personally, others just by association.” He answered.
“Yeah, he killed the previous Minister,” Ginny pointed out.
“Really?” Amélie asked in surprise.
“Yeah, that was an interesting one. My first kill, he was a rotten git.” Draco nodded.
“He most certainly was,” Ginny agreed.
Amélie looked between her parents as they continued talking about their previous assignments and she couldn’t help but smile at them. Seventeen odd years had gone by and they were so in love with each other. Growing up, Amélie never thought she would meet her father. He was always a shady topic that hid in the background that her mother always refused to talk about. It was a very touchy subject and now Amélie knew why. Her mother had loved her father all these years and was hurt, both of them hurt by misunderstandings. But she was lucky that Draco had come back into her life. She loved him; he would be a great dad to her and any other children the two had. She would like to have a sibling, she thought as she watched them teasing each other. If she wasn’t so dazzled by their love, it would be disgusting to watch them flirt as they did.
She rolled her eyes and sighed, drawing their attention. They both looked at her and she fell back on the bed.
“I love you guys so much but puh-lease quit the flirting, it’s gross.” She muttered as she rolled off the bed. “Anyway, I can hear everyone in the living. I’ll be out there if you need some alone time like Pansy says. Hopefully Thomas is still here…” She mumbled as she opened and closed the door behind her.
Ginny looked over at Draco and bit her lip to keep herself from crying when she caught the misty look in his silvery – gray eyes as he stared at the closed door.
“Did she just…” he whispered.
“Yes, she did.” Ginny confirmed.
“Crap,” he whispered his voice thick with emotion as he tackled Ginny to the bed and pulled her lips against his roughly. “I’m hooked.”
“Yes, you’re stuck with us.” Ginny agreed as he pulled off her torn shirt and kissed the three scars that now marred her chest.
“Now that’s the killer truth,” was the last thing he said as he completely lost himself in his Red.
