JENNIE'S POV...

The auction is going smoothly. Irene and Yeri haven't given me some news yet but we're still cautious.

Yeri is focusing on Jackson Wang, same goes to Irene. While my sniper is focusing on Ms. Lisa's direction. I'm observing that 'V' guy and Mr. Jeon.

It's been 30 minutes and the painting is already up. The bidding is a bit getting intense.

I saw Jisoo just casually doing her job. While Ms. Lisa is enjoying the situation, Mr. Jeon kept on competing with Jackson Wang.

And the final buyer is announced. Seems like Jackson Wang won the bidding. I held my earpiece to inform them.

"Irene, Yeri, the painting is sold. Keep your eyes on Jackson Wang and his men. I'll take care of Mr. Jeon." I said and both of them responded yes.

The bidding of the other items continued. Irene, Yeri and I are still holding our snipers from the rooftops of different buildings surrounding the area where the auction is held.

After few hours, the auction seems to be done. The items are now released. The papers or the contracts are now being distributed to those people who bought some items.

Ms. Lisa is holding two contracts, which means she bought 2 expensive items. While Mr. Jeon is signing three contracts.

Then my sniper turned to Jisoo and saw her walking out the room. Oh right, she needs to get out of the room immediately before someone finds out she's an undercover spy.

My sniper returned to Ms. Lisa and Mr. Jeon's direction. I noticed Mr. Jeon became quiet and just glancing at Ms. Lisa.

Something is not right.

I scanned the whole room and noticed that the guy who's always beside Jungkook is nowhere to be found. The guy named V.

I immediately put down my sniper and headed straight to the Auction.

"Look for V, Mr. Jeon's bodyguard. Tall, blonde, wearing a black suit and a black necktie. That guy is up to something! Tell me when you find him!" I spoke at the tiny microphone of our earpiece walkie-talkie while rushing to auction.

As soon as I entered the 6th floor of the auction building, I saw V pointing a gun at something.

I turned my head to the thing he was pointing the gun at and I saw Jisoo peacefully entering the elevator.

Holy shit! They plan to kill Jisoo next!

Before V could even press the trigger, I immediately took the chance and kicked the gun on his hands. He was shocked and his gun was thrown in the air.

"Jennie Kim, how have you been?" He turned and faced me. I clenched my fist and getting ready to punch his trash face.

I looked at Jisoo's direction and she's already in the elevator, on her way to the ground floor.

"Killing Jisoo will be your biggest regret." I glared at him. He chuckled lightly which is very annoying.

"Try me." He smirked.

I grabbed the knife that is placed on my right thigh and started attacking him.

Goddamnit! Why is he so good at dodging and predicting my attacks?!

He managed to hold my right hand and stopped my attack, "Wow, you're fast."

He looked at me directly while still holding my right hand and trying to stop me from stabbing his neck.

"But not strong enough." And he countered

Now, he's the one attacking me and I'm the one dodging and trying to stop his attacks.

He caught my wrist tightened the grip, in pain and I dropped my knife.

"I think it would be better if you're the one I should kill." He smirked at me while pressing my wrist aggressively. I gritted my teeth in anger.

I took the chance and pushed him until his back hit the wall hard. I immediately gave him a big blow on his stomach using my knees.

He groaned in pain after receiving the painful blow from me. Serves him right.

"Goodluck with that." I retorted and took a step backward. He leaned on the wall and held his stomach to stop the pain.

He smirked, "Lisa will be dead soon."

I gritted my teeth and started to attack him but he immediately dodged my attacks and took the chance to kick me in my side waist.

Because of his roundhouse kick, my back hit the wall with a huge impact which made me sit down in pain.

Argh! Fucking hell, it hurts. I tried to move but the pain just overpowers my body.

"Too bad, your role ends here." He took another gun from the back of his pants and pointed it at me.

"Any last words?" I tried my best to move a muscle but I just can't. Goddamnit!

"You first." Both our eyes widened when we heard Ms. Lisa's voice.

I looked up and saw Ms. Lisa pointing and pressing the gun at V's head from behind. V immediately raised both his hands, surrendering.

"Guns down." Ms. Lisa demanded and V threw his gun away. He faced Ms. Lisa and Ms. Lisa pressed the gun on his forehead.

"Be a goodboy for me and tell your Boss to stop bothering my girls or you'll lose another friend." She demanded. V put down his hands.

"I don't have the right to kill you yet, Ms. Lisa. But I'll let him know." He said and he walked away.

Ms. Lisa then looked at me, "Can you stand?" She asked. I nodded and I slowly moved myself and finally stood up.

"Where is Irene and Yeri?" She asked. I gulped because I was too dehydrated from the fight.

"They're at the other side of the building. This area was monitored by me. They can't snipe V in this area." I answered her. She nodded and handed me her gun.

"Let's go." She demanded. My brows furrowed.

"What about Mr. Jeon?" I asked. She looked at me and she smirked.

"He's talking to his Dad. I bet there's another dinner at their place coming up. That's another chance, Jennie." She smirked. I smirked and nodded. I can see the victory in my Boss's face.

We continued to walk until we reached the parking lot. I opened the door for Ms. Lisa and she entered. While I sat on the driver's seat. I started the engine and drive.

"Keep an eye on V. On the family dinner with the Jeons, only you will be coming with me." She said while looking at me at the rear view mirror. I nodded.

That's a good decision. We have to keep the girls out of this one, especially Jisoo.

"They plan on killing Jisoo next, Ms. Lisa." I stated. She sighed, "I know."

After a moment of silence, I felt her gaze turned to me. I looked at the rear view mirror and she was looking at me like she wants to say something.

"Jennie." She called. "Yes, Ms. Lisa?" I responded.

"Jungkook can kill you anytime, too. Be careful. You're the least person that I want to die." She said. I gulped to get myself together.

This is why my loyalty to Ms. Lisa will never be shaken. She's still the Lisa from 10 years ago that once called me 'Jennie unnie'.

I will protect her and keep my promise.

V's POV...

I went back to the auction and saw Jungkook talking to Mr. Jeon, his dad. Jungkook saw me and I shook my head to him sending a message, I failed the job. He just nodded and continued to talk to his dad.

Jungkook have more trust in me than he has on himself. That's why I didn't just became his right hand, I became his best friend. He always tells me how much opposite I am to his two older brothers. He even treats me like a brother. He sometimes call me 'hyung' and I can't help but to stay and protect this kid.

He's still ignorant and innocent in seeing the true darkness of the world even though he's now married and in the crime industry. I always ask him to give me day offs, cars, and to double my pay, maybe I'll be richer than him at this point. But he only asks for my loyalty.

Which I can fully guarantee him.

He may be making a living in a wrong way, but his heart will always be as pure as the heavens.

Only I know his struggles as well as all of his mistakes. That's why I'll keep standing by his side until I'm of no use to him anymore.
