CHAPTER 17: "A WIFE'S DUTY"
LISA'S POV...
I waited for Jennie outside as I search for my phone. Jennie arrived and opened the backseat for me.
"Did your surgery went well?" I asked as she started driving. She looked at me in the rear view mirror and smiled.
"Yeah. It's quite unusual that I don't have tonsils anymore. But I've been better." She answered. I sighed in relief and just nodded. Glad she's okay now.
"Umm..." Jennie muttered, like she has something more to say.
"Jackson told me at the hospital... he has a lot to ask me. Don't you think he found out that you are behind his missing painting?" Jennie worriedly asked looking at me in the rear view mirror.
"He thinks Jungkook's behind it. He actually came to me before he went to the hospital. He even told me Jungkook stole me from him just like the painting." I answered. Jennie then furrowed her brows in confusion.
"He went to your office? When I called you that time, I heard Jungkook's voice. Were you three talking in your office?" Jennie's question suddenly made me feel uncomfortable.
I'm sure Jennie will tease me to death if I told her that Jungkook and I almost had sex at my office. And fuck that demon for doing it in my own office.
"Y-Yeah. But Jackson left when Jungkook arrived to give me back my cellphone." I reasoned. Jennie seemed casual and nodded. I can still feel the warmth of his hands on my body! I almost crave for it every time! AND IT'S ANNOYINGLY UNFORGETTABLE!
Okay, Lisa. Why are you acting weird? Why don't you just tell her you had a hot make out with Jungkook yesterday?
What am I thinking?! Is overthinking a part of pregnancy too? And why would I bother telling Jennie? She's just my bodyguard. I shouldn't talk about personal matters to her.
Yes. Keep it professional, Lisa.
"A-Are you okay back there? You're sweating." Jennie worriedly eyed me in the rear view mirror and adjusted the air conditioner.
"Just---just keep driving." I avoided her gaze and focused on the view outside the window.
Why is it getting hot in here?!
JB GROUP COMPANY...
As usual, as I walk pass the employees, they kept on mumbling offensive and complimenting words about me.
I ignored the voices whispering around me and entered Jungkook's office. I actually have a lunch date with him because he said it's needed for media purposes.
We have to act again as if we're the most perfect couple out there. Even a better couple than Prince Harry and Meghan.
I find it odd that Jungkook suddenly have an interest in the media. But... whatever. I don't feel bad about having a lunch date with my husband.
As soon as I entered Jungkook's office, I was immediately disappointed to see Tzuyu placing some important papers on Jungkook's desk. But Jungkook is nowhere to be found.
"M-Mrs. Jeon, I-I didn't know you would come today." Her voice was shaking and shock was drawn all over her face.
"I guess Jungkook didn't told you that we have a lunch date today." I said smirking. She just let out an awkward smile and bowed to me.
"Why is she so nervous towards you?" Jennie whispered to me. I smirked at Jennie and turned my attention to Tzuyu.
"Secretary Chou." I called out before she could even open the door.
"Yes, Mrs. Jeon?" She turned to me and became very attentive.
It's weird. But I like it when she calls me Mrs. Jeon. I guess I'm just victorious that she knows what belongs to me.
"What are your intentions to my husband?" I straight up asked her. Jennie's eyes widened and so are Tzuyu's.
"W-What do you m-mean, Mrs. Jeon?" She asked while trying to put on the smile.
"Oh you know what I mean, sweetheart." I said smirking at her.
"Mrs. Jeon, I-I don't understand----"
"Is my husband good in bed? He is, right? Is he dominant or does he sweet talk you during the make out?" I asked.
Of course I'm not dumb enough to not know that this bitch is waging her tail to Jungkook.
"Mrs. Jeon, I think you're mistaken---"
"Am I? Or are you mistaken for messing with the wrong wife?" I raised an eyebrow at her and crossed my arms.
"You're being offensive, Mrs. Jeon." She furrowed her brows and looked straight into my eyes.
Hmm... this bitch still have the courage to play the damsel, huh? I'll gladly play the evil witch if that's what she wants, then.
"Glad to know you are offended. And if I were you, I'd write my resignation letter right now and crawl back to my parent's restaurant and help them with business before some evil Corporation takes out our source of living." I threatened. Tzuyu's eyes widened at turned to me. I smirked back at her.
"How did you... you witch!" She was about approach and slap me when Jennie pointed the gun at her. She immediately retreated and stood there with her eyes wide open.
"Careful. You mess with her, you mess with me." Jennie said while smirking.
"D-Do you even have a g-gun license? I-I'm t-t-telling this to Jungkook!" She threatened. Oh! She calls my husband Jungkook now.
"You'd be six feet under the ground before you could even meet Jungkook." I said. Her nervousness grew bigger and I can see tears from her eyes.
"P-Please. Spare me." She sobbed. Okay, now I'm entertained.
"What is going on here?!" We heard the door banged close and we saw Jungkook standing with his brows furrowed in anger.
"We were just having a little game for Secretary Chou." I answered. Jungkook walked past me and dragged Tzuyu away from Jennie and me.
"Go take a break." Jungkook ordered and Tzuyu immediately ran out of the room.
"What were you doing?!" Jungkook bursted out.
"I said we were playing a game. Are you deaf?" I shrugged my shoulders.
"A game? With a gun pointing at her? What kind of game are you playing?!" He angrily asked. Wow, he's mad.
"Truth or Die. She didn't tell the truth so she has to die." I answered casually. Jungkook heaved a sigh while closing his eyes and turned his gaze to me.
"Why are you here, anyway?" He asked as he make his way to his swivel chair. And is he seriously asking me that question?!
This fucker.
"You're the one who invited me to a lunch date and now you're asking me why I'm here?!" I exclaimed. His eyes turned to me and furrowed his brows like he doesn't know what I'm talking about.
"You know what? Fuck you. I'm outta here." I took my handbag on his table and was about to leave when he suddenly spoke. Even Jennie stood frozen.
And I expected him to stop me but not with those words.
"Happy 2nd Anniversary."
