It pains him to wake up. There was work and duties to fulfill. Not only that there is an interview with the authorities this day as well. His heart was still heavy as it weavers to leave the boy alone.

He can see spot of dry tears on his cheeks as he rubs it dry. He must have stayed up all night seeing that with the simple gesture he is not able to wake him now.

He leaves quickly and quietly. He has his cellphones screen bright enough to see. His fingers slides around many apps and taps the one he intends to enter. Upon the long list of contacts most of them would be for business purposes. One however he did not want to be involved in. It never came to him that the day he would find himself searching for the number would occur.

"Why are we in the police station?" Taehyung only asks curiously as it was the natural thing to do. He knows little to nothing about the situation. When Jungkook explains to him he knows only to answer with the what he knows when the time comes.

He originally plans to leave the boy in the mansion alone but given by the situation, things did not go according to his plan.

"I will be back very soon. Please do wait here for a moment." He leaves towards the questioning room. Taehyung would most likely be fine sitting outside.

Jungkook sees no one but a few individuals in the room. Perhaps four along with himself. A man behind the computer device, a woman that he assumes to be an expert in body language and the officer himself. Kim Namjoon that would be questioning him.

"Good afternoon Mr.Jeon. I have received that it is reported that you are unable to arrive yesternight due to an events of attempted murderer or perhaps robbery in your mansion."

Jungkook gives him a very polite "Indeed". There was no lie but perhaps officer Namjoon is taking a bit of his time to absorb and analyze.

Not only to analyze but Jungkook also recognizes the gadgets besides him. A few loops to insert his finger in with cables attach to a computer. Behind that computer was another individual.

"I hope you don't mind the lie detector. Please insert the two loops on your middle and ring finger."

This was somewhat relatively new than what he had experienced in the pass. The only time he was caught long ago they didn't have this device. Perhaps time has change and a machine is needed for help.

Jungkook knows how the machine works. It is a lie detector. The expert heart beat reader would be able to tell if the suspect is indeed lying or not just by looking at the heart beat.

For this however, Jungkook is also prepared for.

"Tell me Mr.Jeon, where were you prior to the report?"

It was all black and white like in the movies. Jungkook has been here, same room, same spot. He pictures clearly his next words, his answers, the fate in his lies he has to burden. One wrong step then I'll be over, not just to him, not just his pride and not just defeat. Taehyung is still waiting at home, he's still scared and needs to be tend and cared.

"I as well together with my lovely fiancé had decided to take a trip to Busan. We were there for vacation reasons."

Namjoon raises an eyebrow "Is that so? Just like the last time, your words are very believable."

Jungkook only smiles through the conversation. It didn't seem that the investigator easily bought the lie. Of course, it takes more than just lies to proof yourself to the higher of law.

"Are you aware of the reason why we were searching inside of your property?"

It was the same question over the telephone from last night. Surely the words came out from his own mouth, did the expect him to forget and magically slip up? No. That would work on others but never on Jeon Jungkook.

"I was inform that I had been reported to be a suspect of a murder case."

Namjoon nods "It was suspected and reported that the victim is named to be Kim Seokjin. Do you perhaps know this man?"

Jungkook has made a few step precautions. It is not good to tell the truth but it is not good to fully lie as well. "Why of course. This man is the older brother of my fiancé. But unfortunately it was not I who had been plotting on putting blood in my hands. May I ask how are you able to conclude for me to be a suspect?"

Because there wasn't a clear conclusion. It was only a report that Jimin had made. After missing for 24 hours he already assumed he is dead.

"It was only reported he had been murdered however the body has not been discovered."

Jungkook tucks his tie. His eyebrow furrows in a disappointing expression. "A report without proof is nothing more than a slander. Has Mr.Kim Seokjin come up to report that he is indeed still well and alive?"

He plays his acting game so well. The expressions, the choice of words. This was just as last time he was reported over the death of two middle aged couples. There was no flaw. He can make lies into the truth.

The man behind the machine did not put up signs of lies as far yet. A lie hidden in the truth or perhaps there never were lies.

"We have not been able to contact him so he was reported to be missing as well. When was the last time you saw him?"

Jungkook pauses for a moment in an act as if he's still thinking. "My last fashion runway I organized when I saw my fiancé and Mr.Seokjin greeting each other. Unfortunately he had to go back home after that due to busy schedules."

"And when was it?"

Jungkook thinks again "Perhaps a month or a few weeks ago. My apologies, I cannot clearly remember."

Namjoon thought that it was understandable. There was nothing more to ask as he didn't have much proof to his hands. "What's your more personal relationship with him? How is he with you?"

Jungkook was a bit surprised by the question but remain calm "I must admit that we did not leave a good note to each other. Mr.Seokjin was very upset that I had taken his brother to my fiancé without his permission. We did not bicker but I believe it was a very critical moment."

Namjoon nods. That too seems very acceptable. "One last question. May I ask for your alibi?"

And that became extremely easy to answer. "Why of course. As I visited to Busan I had also visited an old friend of mine that took care of me when I had become an orphan. The rest of it rests in my fiancé which has always been beside me at all times."

That was all Namjoon could ask. What a flawless answer. No irregular heartbeat, not even a slight of hesitation. He must dig further into the investigation towards the eye witness.

"May I ask for you to bring your fiancé over for a few questionings?"

"Why of course. He is currently outside."

Namjoon stood up from his seat and leaves for a moment to bring the boy in. Indeed as said, the fiancé was the one the news had multiple timely knowledge. He feels somehow.. powerful just to see him in person. Like seeing an idol. He doesn't understand what Jungkook sees him to be.. special.

It takes Namjoon a quick cough to have the boy's attention to him "Are you Mr.Kim Taehyung?"

Taehyung however was only paying half of his current attention. His eyes manages to meet the officer only because he is waiting for his character to respawn back to life. "Yes I am"

"Can you come with me? We need to ask some questions to you regarding of the incident."

Taehyung rarely curses but this time he did. Only inside his mind though. He knew he shouldn't have played rank in Mobile legends and now he's going to be reported because of it.

"Well?" Namjoon waits for him to move. Though he didn't think about his disappointment is over a Mobile game. He thought there were something to be hidden.

"Ok.." Taehyung follows him inside the room.

Jungkook is waiting for him. There was some finger equipment he sees that his fiancé is taking off. He is then told by Namjoon to put it in.

"Please do put it on. It is a lie detector to help the questionings."

Taehyung nods. Right of the beat the computer picks up a few fast heart race that manages to put on the technical woman in confuse.

"Are you fine, Petal?"

Taehyung nods "Yea.."

"Relax. Tell the truth. It is very simple. Are you perhaps nervous?"

Taehyung shook his head "No.. I think I'm gonna lose my rank in mythic tier.."

Jungkook understands his gaming habits very well as well as his determination to win. Just like himself. "We can play together after this. Alright?"

They can finally continue the interview after a few while.

Namjoon inhales deeply. He on the other hand never understood the beauty of playing games and the sorrow of losing your rank.

"Let us start. Is it true that the mansion was trespassed last night which resulted that Jeon unable to come?"

Taehyung tilts. "It's true.. but I didn't know he was supposed to come here yesterday."

Jungkook never told him because he didn't want to put much worry to him. But now that the cat is out of the bag, Taehyung somehow sees the light with him again.

"I didn't want to tell you to reduce your stress."

It would be almost impossible to have two masters of controlling their emotions and heart beat on the same room. To Namjoon, Taehyung would be the opposite of Jungkook. He is more transparent, warmer than him.

Namjoon continues "Are you aware that Mr.Jeon here is a suspect for a possible attempted murder?"

Taehyung doesn't. He shook his head horizontally.

"Are you the brother of the missing Kim Seokjin?"

Taehyung's eyes widen. "What...?"

Jungkook realize he should've told him something about that.

"I am his brother.. but I didn't know he went missing. Are you.. are you suspecting that Jungkookie is the culprit..?"

Namjoon nods but not a genuine one "Well yes but he have not found clear evidence as it was only a report. When did you last saw him?"

"A few days ago..?" Taehyung thinks "We both went to my old home but I fainted and he disappeared.."

Another true remark by the computer as much as it seems unbelievable.

"B-But you're saying that h-he's murdered..?!"

Namjoon tried to calm him down. His hands came to put them on the pads of Taehyung's shoulders. It didn't bring much joy to the billionaire. "Relax. It was only a report. However I would like to know if you are able to contact him. Perhaps that would clear off the situation."

Taehyung didn't even thought that it could happen. He didn't think about contacting him either. "I don't know.. I haven't called him since then.."

Kim Seokjin was then permanently put as a missing person case. Not yet a murder victim.

"We need to confirm Jungkook's alibi with yours. Where were you three days ago?"

Three days ago? He can hardly remember "I'm sorry but I don't even remember when was the exact day I visited my brother. But I've always been with Jungkookie besides then. I can confirm his alibi."

"My last question. Is it true that upon our arrival, both of you were on a vacation to Busan?"

The last questions brought the boy many emotion. He doesn't remember them arriving and recalls they have been to many vacations before. However to Busan..? Taehyung clearly remembers that it was the day where Jungkook claim they had to run away.

He said there were intruders.

Maybe it could have been the same intruders that had pointed a gun to his head. He recalls Jungkook's warning that they would use him.

Is this the same as well? Is the police ganging up on Jungkook by using him to?

Then again he still doesn't truth Jungkook. How can he trust him well when he's wrapped in so much blood?? He needs to find Jimin himself to ask more about him. Surely there is more than just one secret.

This time, he goes from orders.

"Yes.."

Finally. The woman speaks after a few moments of silently analyzing the data. When her mouth opens at the slightest gap, Jungkook feels like making her kiss a knife.

"He is lying."

Namjoon's eyes went serious as he did not glare at Taehyung. No. The boy did nothing wrong. So if they didn't go on vacation, why would they run away?

"Mr.Jeon. It appears that Mr.Kim Taehyung is lying. If you did not went for vacation, then why did you avoid us? It's on purpose isn't it?"

Jungkook remains his calm and composed self. Actually, he had also thought about the situation but deep down he hoped the readings would be wrong due to the multiple emotions he knows Taehyung much be holding right now.

"It is not good to lie, Petal."

Taehyung looks at him confusedly "H-Huh?"

"Why don't you tell the nice officer the truth?"

The truth. He doesn't even know the truth himself.

"Jungkookie told me that because there were intruders we have to run away.. he told me they would capture me and threaten him by using me.. I didn't know it was the police.."

Jungkook smiles and gave him a very rewarding kiss on the forehead. "That is very good." Taehyung would like if he said he didn't missed the kiss.

"Then why did you lie to us and told us you went to vacation. Mr.Jeon?"

Lie detector is most likely useless as he was able to pass by it the first time. It's up to Namjoon's judgement for now.

"But it indeed was not a lie." Jungkook chuckles "I did not know who had came by that night but that was what I fear and moved up our schedule of vacation to Busan earlier."

"Bullshit!" Namjoon slams the table loud enough to startle the boy "You saw us and left because you were afraid we would find Kim Seokjin!"

"I would respect you better if you kept your language clean. At least clean for my Petal." Jungkook glares at him. "And what I had explained were not lies. I simply told you that it was a vacation so that I would not have to explain it unnecessarily deep."

"You saw us and you ran away."

"In fact, I did not saw. I heard. There were many individuals so I had to escape due to fear."

Jungkook and fear. That didn't sit right to each other.

"I admit that the mansion had become a mess and very hard to clean after that. I suspected that you did not find what you were looking for."

"That's because you took him. The chances of you taking him is high!"

Jungkook hopes for Taehyung to say nothing. If he did, it would be more than just a slight mess right now.

In fact, Taehyung was too scared to speak.

"Where did the both of you stayed?" Namjoon turns to the boy.

"H-Huh?" Taehyung blinks "To a cottage near the beach.."

Namjoon rubs his temple dearly. He recalls that it must be a place where security cameras are not located.

"If you must know, it is the cottage where both of my parents used to live in. However I admit the place was a bit abandoned."

Namjoon doesn't think he can convince anything. Jungkook definitely is suspicious but Taehyung is not telling any lies.

"Show me the location of the cottage. We will be resuming our investigation there and we will need to check your mansion one last time to confirm."

Jungkook puts on a smirk of victory "Why of course. I shall send you the IP address because the location is meant to be private after all."

Emotions piles up so easily. Taehyung doesn't know who to trust and who to abandon. It just seems that the world is against Jungkook right now and even himself. Almost.

Jungkook is a sweet man that only he can uncover his personality. He's still determined. The only person that knows the truth would be Jimin. He needs to see him.

Jungkook however has the same plan.
