Hi guys!! Kitty here! I'm the author of this book not Foxmagic. I hope you enjoy the series! Sorry if I don't update often. I have a whole bunch of school work and crap. Also, don't think I write like this. I only wrote like this for this chapter becuase it's in the point of view of a three-year-old. I don't know what else to say so enjoy!
"Hey, Mommy!" I said cheerfully. My mom turned around and looked at me.

"Yes, honey?" she replied. I smiled cheerfully, very proud of myself.

"Can I go find some berries? I caught the scent of some on the way home from our hunting trek!" My family took me hunting for the first time today! I'm only three years old too! It was so much fun! My brother taught me some tips too! I got to test it out on his fox tail. It worked, and I caught it too! My brother is a hybrid. My entire family is a hybrid, including me! We're all part animal and part human. My brother is part fox. My dad is part wolf. My mom is part cat. I'm way different from all of them 'cause I'm all three of those animals! I'm super strong and super smart too! All of my senses are really strong too! I told my family where all the animals were too! All of us can turn into the animal we are. I can turn into all three! What I really look like is a regular Chinese girl with one cat ear, one fox ear, and a wolf tail. I have dark, silky, black hair, and my eyes are purple! Purple's my favorite color because it's the color of my eyes! I'm also named after my eyes! My name is Murasakino-chan which means purple in Japanese!I have superpowers too! I can use telepathy, telekinesis, make portals and force fields, read minds, use physic powers, fox magic, and I have the ability to heal myself and others! Isn't that cool? I cant control my portals yet so I don't use it. And when I use my healing powers on others, I get their injuries. That does not happen when I do it to myself though.

"Sure! Don't go too far though! I don't want you to get lost. Today was just your first day out of the den." warned my mom.

I giggled and smiled at her. "Don't worry Mommy! I'll be right back!" I ran off and turned back to wave goodbye.

"Be careful Purple! Be back by sunset!" my mom shouted after me. I turned into a cat and flicked my tail in response. I trotted along the path made by my family and opened my mouth. It wasn't long before I caught the scent of sweet, juicy berries on the roof of my mouth. The scent alone was enough to make my mouth water. I followed the scent cheerfully to a bush full of sweet berries. I came out of my cat form and happily gathered them into my tiny arms.

AHWOO! I turned my head towards the sound. The howl sounded alike like my daddy's, and it came from my den! I dropped the berries I picked and ran back home as fast I could. Mid-way, I morphed into a cat and streaked across the forest floor. It wasn't long before I caught the scent of blood, my family, and something disgusting. I got to my den and saw my parents fighting viciously against some demon I didn't know. I snuck my den to hide but someone's jaw dragged me back out by my scruff.

"Let me go, you bad demon!" I shrieked as I struggled under his grip. He gripped even tighter and I let out a yelp.

"Let her go you damn bastard!" I soon felt the slightest bit of relief from his strong grip. I turned around to find my older brother wrestling the demon to the ground and ripping out his throat. I whimpered and went deeper into my den. I bumped into something cold and my tail grew twice it's size. I whipped around to find a sword out of its sheath with my name written on it. I reached out gingerly with my paw and the sword turned into a charmed attached to a collar. My fur stood on end as the transformation happened.

"Gahh!" Rough hands dragged me out of the den again. I desperately tried to wriggle out of his firm grip, but it was no use. He was holding me by the scruff which half paralyzed me. My whole family quickly finished off their current opponent and glared and the demon who was holding me.

"Cole! Let her go, NOW!" screamed my mother. My dad and brother were growling fiercely and were ready to jump out of their pelts. The man just laughed maliciously and held my mom's glare.

"Now darling. This wouldn't have to happen if you had just surrendered in the beginning," he said calmly. My dad let out a low growl and lept towards me. Cole swung me in front of him and into my dad's attack path. I quickly put a force field so my dad could jump on top of it. Instead, he stopped mid blow and dove for his legs. Cole threw me up in the air and my brother caught me. I could hear my mom's pleading with him through telepathy, telling him to get me away. He nodded and sped off with me in his powerful yet gentle jaws.

Big brother. What's going on? I'm scared. I asked with my mind. He glanced down at me and his eyes widened.

Where did you get that collar with the sword charm? He asked with an alarming amount of surprise.

I found it in our den. It had my name written on it so I touched it. Then it turned into this thingy on my neck where those mean guys grabbed me. I wonder why it didnt snap. I started fiddling with the single charm that hung off my collar.

*sigh* You weren't suppose to get it til next moon. Oh well. I guess you've already claimed and now its too late to undo it. We continued running across the forest until we reached a clearing. He slowed down to a trot and I heard the gushing sound of the river flowing. I turned to my brother and saw that he had a worried expression on his face.

"Where's mom and dad?" I mewed softly towards my brother. " Aren't they coming too?"

" No. They have to stay behind to watch over the den. You and I going to go on our own little journey while mom and dad wait for us to come home, okay?" He whispered gently in my ears. He stroked my fur calmly and looked me straight in my eyes. I held his gaze. His amber eyes sparkled like stars. I didn't know that this was the last time I was seeing him. Suddenly, his ear twitched and glanced at somewhere. His fur stood on end.

"Actually, Purple. You have to go alone," he said. My eyes got wide as I stared at him in disbelief." You know the sword you have on the collar, learn to use it. Train yourself how to hunt, how to kill, and how to survive, okay? Learn how to use your powers okay?" I nodded. He didn't know I have already mastered my mind reading technique, so I read his mind without him knowing. Tears welled up in my eyes as I found out what Mom had said to him.

" Why do I have to go?" I sobbed. I didn't want to leave by myself. He sighed.

" You read my mind didn't you?" I nodded. I had also mastered telepathy, healing, telekinesis. I was three too so it wouldn't take me long to master teleporting. My brother knew that too. I felt someone's gaze burning down at us with anger. My brother put me down gently by the riverbank.

" I want you to use your teleporting power to teleport to a different dimension so that bad guys can't find you okay?" I turned around and was met with his hard, pleading eyes. I nodded. I started opening a portal when the bushes rustled. A huge wolf jumped on us and my brother threw himself at the wolf. I turned around at the wrong time. What I saw was gruesome. I turned around to see my brother pinned down and his throat ripped out seconds after.

"NO!!!" I screamed. Something shoved me into the portal and I cried the entire trip. It wasn't long before I came out the other end of the portal, in the middle of foreign territory. I found a hole and slipped in it. I curled up and cried myself to sleep.
