Cold Creaky Ship

Hey guys, quick author note here, i've been gone for over a year. I never had notes on this book tucked away, originally it was a rewrite of another book I wrote similar but for those of you that have read the others one you've probably realized it's quite different. Because of this I don't remember exactly where I planned on going with this book, but I read back through the whole thing and I have a few ideas. So I apologize for being gone for a year, I really don't have much more of an excuse then school. I hope you'll all be in for a pleasant surprise when you get a notification for this chapter...

Everyone was screaming. Well, not screaming so much as yelling and trying to fight things that couldn't be fought unless you happened to be a son of Jupiter who could hold the venti together long enough to kill them. Lucky for the Argo 3 they had a son of Jupiter! Unluckily he was the second person to be frozen solid because Khlorine knew that. Well, Piper assumed it was her, who else had ice powers? She couldn't think about it deeply,  was the only other person who might have a chance in taking the venti out.

"Stab each-other!" "Solidify!" "Punch yourself!"

Piper was suddenly jerked to the side as ice flew past her shoulder, she followed Hazel's eyes to a man in green with golden horns on his head staring at her. He got ready to fling more ice at her but Hazel extended her hands and jerked downwards. The man was shoved roughly down by his golden headdress and Hazel made the horns loop around the guard rails three times. Piper couldn't keep her focus on the man-the venti didn't stop coming after all.

The cell in the brigg hadn't long since been opened and the boy had busied himself playing solitaire. He figured that when Piper came to check on him she'd see he was smart. And that's he wasn't going around and causing trouble as much as he wanted to prank ever person on the Argo. He knew they were flying around for an important reason, and-the ship suddenly jerked and his cards flew across the ground and he almost flew as well. He quickly regained his footing and made his way out of the brig-hearing lots of yelling on deck. A few people ran past him but he grabbed Annabeth's wrist and refused to let go.

"You're hurt. If you go up there everyone will have to worry about you getting hurt worse and then they'll get hurt and we'll all die." She glared at him and grabbed a shield off the wall and placed it on the ground. Soon a picture formed of the upper deck and he looked at it fascinated.

"Can it show you anything?"

"No, only where the god's can see,"

"But aren't we in Alaska?"

Annabeth paused as they both saw Hazel fling a man to the deck and weld him to the railing as the weirdo struggled to escape his own helmet. Annabeth knew he was right, that's couldn't be how the shield worked. But she couldn't focus on Percy-but he was probably inside.

"Alright then, anywhere not covered by a roof. Does that suit you Tony?"

He nodded "who's that god?"

"Only one way to find out." Annabeth stood and made her way for the door. This time Tony John didn't try to stop her.

Frank was having about as much luck as anyone else was, only able to actually touch the venti if Piper managed to convince them then to solidify. Then Piper got frozen by the angry horn dude so Frank had to think of a new plan. How do you defeat something you can't punch? You'd have to contain them in something...wait...what if he... ate then? Everything blurred momentarily and Frank wasn't exactly sure what he had morphed into, but his mouth was huge and he's swallowed three venti in one gulp.

He ha to admit it. They tasted odd, very odd and vaguely burnt and acidic. Probably their bad attitudes made acidic rain, then he almost coughed them out a sigh they turned them to dust but he was in a rampage now. Eating every venti in sight until the rest fled and he transformed back into himself surrounded by a few ice statues, Hazel looking amusedly at the-Annabeth and the kid burst upstairs and both raised their right eyebrow at the same time. Frank wondered, could venti give you indigestion?
