sorry its was taking so long to write this chapter. school has been long, I haven't been feeling well, I've been feeling kinda sad lately, and the chapter I was working on got erased.... 4 times. I noticed that in other books, the first chapter is the ' normal chapter ', I don't have this chapter. I thought that because most of the book is at a  stand still and time doesn't change because this is kinda a flash back. this chapter is dedicated to the normal times. this is the time before everything. before she met Amaimon, and when Korosu was still friends with Amethyst.

hope you guys like it, again sorry for taking so long.  if you haven't read " red flames " another Amaimon fanfiction please do because its a good book and the author is a good friend of mine.

I'm doing a new thing in this book ( found in the authors note ). I call it situations. I tell you guys a situation and you guys give me your opinion on it. BTW I'm not using real names.

Situation: you have 2 friends, Riley and Thomas. they are best friends. Thomas is Gay and Riley is pansexual. they have been friends for 4-5 years. we joke about them and call them ' the main ship '. in reality Thomas has been in love with Riley for 3 years. Riley, even being pan, claims that he won't ever date Thomas.

Riley's reasoning :

1} he said that the last time he dated his best friend, it ruined their friendship. she was his best friend for 4-5 months.

2} his dad wouldn't except him if he dated a guy

3} he's not over his ex,that dumped him for a dumb reason

dumb reason : he texted her too much ( he didn't even text her everyday )

what do you guys think?

Korosu's P.O.V

I heard a knock on the door. " uhhh.... " I groaned. then I heard the door unlock and the bed shift as my father sat on it. " come on kiddo, you have to get up " he said lightly shaking me. " I don't wanna " I said.

" come on you have to go to school " he said. " would you believe me if I said I was asleep right now " I asked him. " hmm........ nope " he said popping out the 'p'. " you have to get up " he whined. " but dad.... the sheets have excepted me as their own and if I leave I might brake their trust " I said whining.

" I've tried everything your turn " he sighed at the door. who is he talking t- oh, oh no. " brace for impact " was my only warning until Amethyst jumped on me. " time to get up " she said smiling down at me.

" sometimes I think you hate me" I said. " of course not " she said, a hint of something was in her eye, but it flashed so fast I didn't see it. " come on or we will be late " she said violently shaking me. " fine, just stop trying to scramble my brain, I need it " I said whining and getting up.

" come on, I'll be downstairs " she said leaving my room to go downstairs. I got up and changed into all black like normal and ran downstairs. " here " my dad said handing me a piece of bacon and an orange. " have fun at school kiddo " he said from the kitchen. I closed the door an kept my head down.

I didn't tell my dad about my school life. people made fun of me and Amethyst never did anything. I understood why. if she stood up for me, then she would be the next target. I couldn't expect her to help me.

I just have to roll with the punches. I've been doing that for almost 5 years anyway. I looked up and saw that there were less little floating black things in the sky today. " Amethyst, there aren't that many today " I said staring up at the sky.

" that many what? " she asked. she looked at me and saw I was looking at the sky and got the hint. " oh " she said. " where do you think they went? " I asked. " I don't know, did you forget that I can't see them " she sighed, " you don't even know what they are."

I keep forgetting that Amethyst can't see them. sometimes I forget I'm the only one that can. I saw one get close and got a good look at it. it looks like a black cat. it saw me and quickly floated away. I don't get it, I can see them but every time I get close they float away.

even they don't want to be near me! they float around and bump into people, but completely avoid me. I just want someone to see things the way I see them. I want someone to see me. I want someone to understand. I want someone who won't leave me.

 I have Amethyst, but she leaves me when I need her most everyday. I couldn't even make friends with the things that I can only see. I walked into the school and went straight to my locker. maybe if I get to class fast enough, they won't get to me.

I quickly got my book and put them in my book bag. as I was about to close my locker, the locker door slammed into the side of my face. shit, that hurt. I guess I wouldn't have avoided the daily routine either way.

" what's up A whore " one of the girls sneered. when I was little, I freaked out when I walked into class and saw the floating black things surround a student during class. I screamed and feel out of my chair. everyone looked at me and when I told them about what I saw the teacher said I must have been seeing things.

ever since the students have called me ' A whore '. 'A' meaning attention. they call me attention whore and they never let it go.  they never let me forget. " so A whore did you see the floating things again today? " another one sneered and they all laughed.

" let me guess, did they swarm around people again? " she laughed. the weird thing is the floating black things are always following them. If they get to close they still swarm but try to stay away from me.

when they say things like this, they manifest. they kept talking and the manifestation got bigger, until I started to worry. " they're here " I mumbled. " what did you say A whore ?" they sneered. " they're here, they swarm you, they feed off you " I said slightly louder.

" wow, you're more pathetic than usual today, I guess we will have to teach you what happens to the crazy people " she said smiling. they grabbed me by the hair and attempted to drag me outside. " stop, please stop " I pleaded.

something was off today. they manifested more than normal today, almost twice the size. I felt this bad feeling in my gut and I didn't want to know why. all I wanted was to get away. they dragged me into the woods and then they let my hair go as they surrounded me.

" do you know what happens to crazy people? " she smiled. the smile she gave me sent shivers through my back and made my hair stand up. that smile was so murderous, it would make Satan proud.

her foot swung forward and collided with my stomach. I felt the air leave my lungs from the power of her blow. " I asked you a question bitch " she sneered. " N-No " I stuttered trying to regain my breathing. " they are killed and forgotten " she said smirking as she started to kick me.

I can't explain the fear coursing through my veins at this exact moment. I'm going to die, is all I could think of. the pain never dulled, just continued to ram into me full force. I felt skin break and I felt the blood leak out of me.

I looked up one last time to meet the eyes of my murderers. they didn't even look human anymore. they grew horns and snake tongues. they looked like demons and I couldn't believe what I saw.

I started to feel dizzy and closed my eyes before I actually lose consciousness. " no one will remember you " they said walking away. I slowly stated to slip until there was nothing but the darkness to occupy my thoughts

Amaimon P.O.V

I was walking around town with behemoth and he suddenly stopped. behemoth are you okay ? I asked him through our master: tamer link. someone is bleeding he said alarmed. today my brother said I wasn't allowed to kill any humans because if he didn't own the town, he couldn't make the bodies disappear.

I don't even know why he cares. he wounds humans all the time and then he is alarmed by blood? why do you care? I asked. he kept pulling on the chain and eventually he got loose. WHAT IS HE DOING ? I asked myself.

I looked away for a second and he was gone. when I find him, no candy for a week! I used my smell and started to track him. I got to a big building surrounded by forests. the strange thing wasn't the gated-dungeon-looking thing, it was the fact that he went into the woods. ( into the woods! roll credits )

I followed his sent into the forest. why would someone be so far into the forest? suicide attempt, left for dead, maybe another demon attack. there seemed to be less of brother's coal tars in this area than there should be.

I rounded around a tree and I saw it. she was beautiful. what's wrong with me? that girl is human, why did I find her so beautiful? behemoth was licking her wounds clean. behemoth what are you doing? I asked through master: tamer link.

I'm cleaning her wounds  he said, can you help I can't do it on my own. why do you care? this is a human girl  I asked intrigued but confused. something inside me is telling me to help her he said.

something was telling me to help her too. I got closer and a delicious scent exploded in my nose. behemoth, do you smell that?  I asked. no, I don't know what you're talking about  he said. as I got closer to her, I came to the conclusion that it was her blood.

behemoth, is there something strange about her blood  I told him. it smells different than human blood. I can't put my finger on it  he said. I summoned some things that should help with her bandaging. I looked at her and then took in a deep breath. something happened to her, someone did this to her! I thought angrily.

I don't know why I'm angry, but I have a feeling that whoever did this will pay. I took in another deep breath and caught a different smell. there were about 6 of them, all female. I traced the steps back to the original location. somewhere near the middle, the scents changed. I look around and the abundance of coal tars are normal.

problem with that is that this town was lacking coal tars in this area. this was a demon attack. I was going to continue but I caught a separate smell all together. it was fresh. the wind was blowing in my face and I knew thy weren't far behind.

a took another deep breath. its her. what is she doing here? the attack was obviously a demon attack so why is she here? I quickly rushed back to the girl and summoned all the things I brought back to the earth. what are you doing?  behemoth asked.

someone is coming, she's all patched up, now lets go I said re-summoning his chain. something in me wanted to stay, but I knew I couldn't. I don't know what's wrong with me. I want to stay, but I know she is human and if she knew what I am, who I am; she wouldn't want me around.

Korosu's P.O.V

I woke to a bright light. I squinted, my eyes adjusting to the light. I looked around and I was in the nurse's office. " oh thank god, you're okay "Amethyst said hugging me." what happened? " I asked attempting to sit up.

pain shot up my stomach and back. I groaned and laid back down. " I found you out in the woods with scars on your back and blood on the floor, the nurse says you'll be okay, but I was worried sick " she said.

the nurse handed me a pain killer and some water. " do you want to go home or do think you can continue to go to class? " the nurse asked. " I'll be fine, what time is it? " I asked. " its...7: 15 " she said taking a second to pull out her phone to check the time.

I've only been assaulted around 10 minutes ago, wait. " what did you say about my back?"  I asked confused and alarmed. " its full of scars " Amethyst repeated. I was assaulted, almost murderered 10 minutes ago and my back already healed that fast!! that's impossible!!

I got up and looked at the nurse. " thank you " I said happy that this woman saved my life. " I didn't have to do much, you were already bandaged when Amethyst brought you " she said. " who ever cleaned and bandaged did a very good job " she  said.

wait, someone cares about me? someone found me and thought " I don't know this person, but I'll bandage them and then leave them and not tell anyone? WHAT THE GEHENNA?!?!?

" did you safe me? " I said turning to Amethyst after leaving the clinic. " no, I just found you like that " she said. " your kidding " I said surprised. " nope " she said shrugging. " bye " she said entering her class, leaving me alone like she always does.

Amethyst is my only friend and sometimes I forget she is one. I put her as a friend but she leaves like everyone else. I just want someone to stay, I want someone who will never leave, I want.............. to be............I don't know. I don't remember the word anymore. I don't know what it is anymore.

Amethyst is like a shadow, sticks with me during the day and leaves me in the dark. I just wish I had someone. I walked to my class and stood there starring at the door. I took a deep breath and slowly turned the doorknob.

I walked in and everyone was starring at me. I quickly shuffled towards the teacher. " I heard what happened, are you okay? are you sure you want to stay? " she said concern lacing in her voice. " I'm fine " I said walking to my seat.

I could hear their whispering. I know that no one really cares. once they find out they will treat me the same. the lesson continued and the whispering got worse. the things they were saying got worse. some thought I attempted suicide and then there are more extreme cases were they said I had faked being insane for attention.

the bell rang and I started to walk out of class like everyone. everyone hurried to the cafeteria and once I got in. I walked out into the trees behind the school. I climbed one of the trees and sat there to think.

I can't believe tomorrow is my birthday, it'll be 5 years since then. since the day everything was taken from my hands. I use to smile, laugh, have friends, and then it all changed that day. thinking about it makes me too upset.

I shook the thoughts out of my head before I started to cry. as soon as those thoughts left new thoughts appeared. who saved me? who came to my aid and left me there? I need to know. I want to know why. why did they save me?

I sat there and ate my candy and the bell ran signaling the end of our lunch period. I leaned back and back flipped off the tree and walked back into the building. " hey A whore, did you attempt to end your worthless life? " a girl laughed as I walked by.

I just continued to walk by. they kept laughing and then someone grabbed my hand and pulled me into the middle of the hallway. I turned to see one of my main bullies, Jordan, " so, we all are...... dying to know, what did you do to make every teacher so worried about you? " he said in fake concern and chuckled after the word dying.

I tried to walk passed him but he pushed me right back. " now, now, you're not leaving without giving all of us an answer " he said smirking. " it doesn't concern you " I said and he stood there shocked. I pushed past him and he seemed to snap out and grabbed my arm and push me back.

" your getting a bit of an attitude there " he said gritting his teeth. " now answer " he said giving me a threatening look." I don't want to answer. I don't want everyone to know that I was almost murdered. they would think I'm lying and the Bullying would get worse.

" I said now " he repeated through his teeth, snapping me out of my thinking state. " shut up " I said glaring at him. " what did you say " he said shocked and angry. " I told you to  shut up " I said continuing to glare. I saw his hand go back and I felt a sting on my cheek. he slapped me.

HE SLAPPED ME!!! I snapped out of my own shock and cocked my fist back and punched him in the face. I know I shouldn't be doing this, but if he gets angry enough he would send some girls to beat me up and forget about what happened to me today.

" what the fuck? "  he said holding his now bleeding nose. I didn't think I hit him that hard. " you bitch " he said with anger burning in his eyes. " fuck you " I said. " you wish " he said pinching his nose to try to stop the bleeding. " no, you have your right hand for that " I said smirking.

I actually like talking back, its fun. " well that and your little whores " I said sighing and shaking my head like I was disappointed. " hey, you better shut up if you know what's good for you " a girl said from the sideline.

" quiet, side bitch " I said putting my hand out signaling her to shut up. " your just mad because you can't get laid " he said. " No, but your right hand is jealous because you have so many whores, its just not needed, allow me to cut it off  for you " I said glaring.

" that's it " he said throwing me over his shoulder. " let me go you sick man whore " I said punching his back. he walked to the front of the school, all students in tow. he dropped me on the floor and I got up and glared.

" fight me " he said bluntly with a determined look in his eyes. " you sure, getting beat up might ruin your reputation whore " I said as ohhs exploded from the crowd of students. " trust me, you'll regret that " he said getting in fighting stance.

" I've learned to deal with it, I have to see your face everyday so its the same thing " I said as he threw a punch at me. I stumbled a bit, damn this bitch can punch hard. I kicked him in the chest and he fell over.

I jumped on top of him and started throwing punches at him. he caught my wrist and rolled us so he was on top and started to throw punches back. he only got two punches in before I kneed him in the groin and I saw the pain explode on his face.

he kicked me off and I flew backwards a bit. we both got up and he punched me in the stomach and I punched him in the face again and bent him over. I kneed him in the stomach a few times. he pushed me off and tackled me to the floor.

he was about to throw a punch before a voice stopped us. " STOP, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? " A voice screamed. Jordan got off and I got  up. " fighting isn't allowed, you to are coming with me " Mrs. creek said walking away while we followed her.

I took a second to glance at Jordan. he had a busted lip and his eyes started to swell, yup that's a black eye. he was limping and I can tell I kicked him hard. I smirked a little at my work. I didn't think I could fight that well.

this feeling. I want to feel this way everyday. the feeling of being strong, of not worrying about bruises, not worrying about cuts, not worrying that one day I'll just be left for dead. I just want to be normal. maybe if I didn't have so much fear, I could be normal.

then my brief moment of normalness was ruined when I realized that I can never be normal. I can't ignore what I know is there. I can't ignore what I see. I'll always see those things floating in the sky. I'll never be able to live a normal life.

we made it to the principal's office and Mrs. Creek glared at Jordan signaling him to sit down. she gave me a sympathetic look and shut the door on her way out. " so what brings you two here " the principal asked shocked and confused that I was there.

we all sat there in silence for a good 4 seconds before Jordan spoke up. " we got into a fight " Jordan said crossing his arms like he was cool. " you guys what? Kiddo are you okay? " the principal asked me surprised and concerned.

Kiddo is what my dad calls me and his childhood friend caught on. my dad and the principal have been friends since they were little kids. he tells my dad all about my school life. I never told my dad that I'm bullied.

he has enough stress and worry in his life. after my mom's death, my dad works 2 jobs. he has enough to worry about. I can't tell the principal because he'll tell my dad. " hey, what about me, I got hit too " he said offended.

" hitting girls is Illegal Jordan " he said glaring at Jordan. " she never fought back before " he said. " so you have assaulted her before? " the principal asked burning holes in his head. " Nicholas, I'm fine, I hurt him more than he hurt me " I said.

" kiddo, how long has this been going on, your dad deserves to know " Nicholas said looking at me with concerned eyes. " Nicholas? " Jordan asked astonished. " he doesn't need more stress , I'm fine I promise " I said standing up.

" no you're not, I got an email from the nurse. how is a failed attempt of murder, and a successful lethal assault nothing. your not okay, you need to get away from this, its not safe, this isn't good for you " Nicholas said worried beyond belief.

" attempt of murder?!? " Jordan asked shocked. " I'm not a baby, I can do this " I said wanting to be able to do this on my own. " you have proven that you can't, I'll get you away from here, I promise. I'll recommend you to better schools, I'll get you security- " he said before I cut him off. " and who is going to pay for all that, you know my dad is struggling on his own and you have a new baby girl. please don't make this harder than it already is, nick " I said whipping the tears from my eyes.

he saw my tears and his worried look turned empathetic. he walked around his desk and pulled me in for a hug. " I won't tell you dad, but I will get you way from this " he whispered while holding me close. I'm happy Nick will keep this a secret, but I want to be able to do this on my own.

I won't stop. I'll never stop fighting until the day I can be proud of who I am. Until the day I'm sure my mom will be proud of me. nothing can stop me anymore. maybe if I can overcome my pain, then I can look for the thing I've always wanted.

all I've ever wanted was someone who won't leave. I guess what I really want is to fall in........... love. I've never felt any attraction to anyone. the only thing I find cute is animals. I don't feel anything towards anyone.

sometimes I wonder if I'm even human. I grew up hearing stories  for how my mom and dad fell in love. I see it happen around me all the time, granted most aren't good examples. some people are all over each other in the halls.

some people are good examples. the ones that fall in love the right way. most of the time, they don't work out. they end in tears and burned pictures. I wish that I could try, even if it was just for a day.

I worry that I'll never feel anything for anyone. that I'll never find my angel. my dad used to call my mom, the angel. he said he was her beacon of light through the bad times. my dad always had a thing for nicknames. he called me kiddo, called my mom Angel, and Nicholas was called nico ( Neko ).

I was snapped out of my thoughts when someone cleared their voice. me and Nick separated and looked at Jordan who was looking at us weird. " well this is awkward " Jordan said shifting from foot to foot. 

" its okay, he won't know, but it won't stop me from protecting you " he said walking around to his desk. he sat down and cleared his throat.  " so..... what's gonna happen? " Jordan asked. " well because her dad can't know and she refuses to let you get in trouble, you both are free to go " he said walking over to the door.

" but Jordan if you touch her again I'll make sure to kick you off the football team and put you in special classes " Nick said throwing threatening look at Jordan. " Nick " I whined. " Just looking out for you kiddo " he said shutting the door. 

we walked out of the office and made our way to class. " so are you and principal together or something? " Jordan asked out of the blue. I almost choked on my own spit. " no, he is my father's best friend, they've known each other since they were children " I said.

" thanks for what you did back there " he said. " why are you being so nice to me? " I asked confused. " no one has ever done that for me " he said. " what? kick your ass? " I asked still confused. " no, your strong by the way, I mean not getting me in trouble " he said. 

" if you didn't I could've lost my scholarship " he said. it surprised me, I didn't think he cared about his grades or college. " why does that matter? " I asked.

" college is my only escape from this place " he said. " why would you want to leave? your popular, you have girls falling all over you, and your the star quarterback " I said.

If I had as many friends as he had then I would be happy. " I don't want to be popular, I don't want any of those girls, I need this scholarship " he said. " girls are always all over you, and you have tons of friends. I wish I had someone who thought of me that way or had more than 1 friend " I said looking down.

" I've never told anyone, but I want that scholarship so I can go to college in America and be with the love of my life " he said with a glint in his eyes. it held something so beautiful. " then why do you let girls fall all over you " I asked.

" I never kissed any of them, I never even dated any of them. Mary is my fake girlfriend to prevent from other girls dating me, until I can get to Ren " he said and I chuckled. " what's so funny? " he asked. " you have an American name and was born in Japan and Ren is an Japanese name and was born in America " I said.

he  stopped and put his hand on the doorknob. guess this is his class. " don't tell anyone what I told you okay? " he asked. " promise " I said and he walked into class. I walked down the hall and made it to my class and when the door opened, everyone looked at me.

" the principal sent me an email, take your seat " my teacher said.

I made it home and ate with my dad. I ran up stairs and locked my room door. this is the time where I ponder. what if dad found out? what if he sends me to a private school? would Amethyst leave me if I left for private school?

what if Jordan was lying? what if he is really a real man whore? what was that glint in his eyes? what if he lost his scholarship? what if Ren isn't real? what if she is really a horrible person? what if Ren is a man?

who saved me? and left me there? where they a stranger? why would they save me? why wouldn't they tell anyone? why would someone go so far into the woods? what if it was a demon?
