I woke up like I always did. hoping she was awake before me. just sitting there waiting for me. smiling. but like always she wasn't. like always I woke up to the same thing. her body, unmoving, just laying there. no sign of life. her pale face the same, peaceful. but she wasn't smiling. and that was were my dreams die every morning. the only thing keeping me hoping, keeping my faith in her, was the small sparks that tickled my hand every minute I held her hand. I never let go. those sparks kept me alive, those sparks gave me hope.

I just wish everyone cared as much as me. everyone just seemed to get sad when she was brought up but me... it eats me up from the inside to think that she may be dying every second. doesn't anyone care? they do care, they just know that Korosu wouldn't want them wasting their time being sad for something she did. that's just the kind of human she was ( human she was, see what I did there )the taunting little shit said in my head.

I focused and dragged myself into my own mind. I woke up in the room where he decided to move into, without permission might I add. I still can't figure out how he moved from my heart to my mind, this little shit loved to make me mad. but whether it was my heart or my head, he was still in a white room, smirking inside the bars of his cage. " don't talk about her, don't you dare say her name " I growled.

"how nice, you came in here just to pick a fight. oh well. why then? I know her better than you do anyway" 'he' snickered. whenever I'm here he likes to anger me. It makes me want to strangle him though the cage but he knew the spell and the regulations to set himself free. if I touch the bars of the cage, it'll disappear.

" that's impossible " I glared. all he did was smirk at me. he always thought he knew everything. that's what I hated most about him. but the smirk he gave me came with something more, with a hint of mischief. I felt my protectiveness get the better of me. " what did you do to her?! if you hurt her -" I was cut off with his scoff.

" how dare you accuse me of such a thing! whether you like it or not, I am you and she's my mate too. I would never hurt her! " he said crossing his arms while glaring at me. I wanted to accuse him. I wanted to believe he was lying but I couldn't bring myself to. he had this look in his eyes. if you looked really close and past the anger there was something else there. I couldn't pinpoint what it was.

but I felt it. I felt that what he was saying was the truth. " if anyone could hurt her it would be you. you have all the negative emotions " he mumbled. that little shit. I looked past him into the cage and noticed there was shards. like from broken things. but that's impossible the only things in his cage have are- THE LOCKS! WHAT DID HE DO WITH THE LOCKS!

" why are the locks broken!? what did you do you manipulative bastard? " I said. " last time I checked you held manipulation but I didn't do anything. you did this all on your own " he said laying down on the floor. " which locks are broken? " I asked growling. " guilt, empathy, honesty, happiness, possessiveness, and some are braking slowly " he said.

" which ones are breaking? " I asked. " ah ah ah, that's a secret " he said laughing. piece of shit. " but in all honesty, I could never hurt her. whether you know it or not, I share the same deep connection that you do with her, I don't care that you hate me, but I know what I feel for her and, even if you don't know what it is yet, you do too. I'm telling the truth. If you don't figure out how you feel than she will slip away and you will never know " he said smiling sadly at me.

then something changed. his eyes widened and he looked like he was in pain. he looked down and started to scream. what's wrong with him?! what's going on?! " NOOOO! ITS TOO LATE! GO BACK PLEASE GO BACK! I CAN'T FEEL THEM ANYMORE! PLEASE GO BACK! " he yelled grabbing his head. I decided then and there that he was serious and dragged myself out of my mind.

I made it back and jolted awake. I looked around and there was nothing out of the ordinary. was he lying to me? was it all just a show for kicks? I don't get- I was interrupted when for once I heard the monitor. it was really strange to me because, I had been in this room so long that I became so used to the sound that I didn't even hear it anymore.

but for some reason I could. but it wasn't its usual rhythm. it was faster. it sped up to the point where it all was just one long beep. I don't get it. what does that- and that's when I felt it. the sparks started to slow down. no.

no no no no no! this can't be happening!

Kasai's POV :

we were just on our way back to the dorms from the academy. we were just going to drop off our stuff and all go to cram school together. " so Kasai what did you get on the test today in math? " Grimora asked me. " I got a 87. I'm going to retake it " I said cringing at my grade. call me a perfectionist but anything below a 90 is failing to me. but that's just me. " Rin I'm really proud of you for that grade you got in science " Yukio said smiling. " oh really! Rin what did you get " Caster asked holding hands with Grimora. " I got a 92 " he said smiling like an idiot.

" wow Rin! that's amazing! how did you do it!? " Zoyiah asked. " I just happen to have the best tutor ever " he said putting his arm around me and ruffling my hair. I laughed at his childish behavior. we walked up the steps to the dorm and when we unlocked the door all the lights started blinking. they all suddenly turned red. it was starting to scare me.

" Yukio what's going - " I was interrupted when he cursed and dropped his bag on the floor and bolted for the stairs. we ran after him. what is going on?! we all froze when we heard a roar. it wasn't like anything I had ever heard before and definitely wasn't from anything from this earth. the sound of it caused an earthquake. we continued to run up the stairs and the windows broke as vines from the outside started to invade the dorm.

" Yukio! " Rin yelled. " I'm okay " Yukio yelled back. relief washed over Rin's face. " Rin what's going on? " I asked. " the lights. that's code red. Korosu's........ dead. Yukio is trying to see if he can restart her heart. there is a very slim chance, barely .002 but he's going to try " Rin said smiling sadly.

I don't know why but I didn't feel anything. it didn't feel like she was dead. I wouldn't believe it until I saw it. " I've got it! " Yukio said running to us with a black square bag. " let's go! I have to do this as soon as possible or it won't work! " Yukio yelled and we snapped out of our daze and started to rush to Korosu's room.

they grabbed the handle and I suddenly remembered something very important. AMAIMON IS IN THERE! OH SHIT! " wait don't open- " I started but it was too late. they swung the door open but didn't move because they were frozen in shock. Amaimon was there holding her head in his lap and stroking her hair while his other hand had her hand intertwined with his.

he looked up and his panicked look turned into a glare. " STAY AWAY FROM HER! " he yelled and suddenly most of the door way was covered in Japanese Rowan. Rin took his sword out and tried to slice at the plant. but nothing happened. " why isn't it catching fire! " he yelled frustrated. " because its Japanese Rowan, they can't burn! " I yelled. ( sorry if its incorrect but I looked for it in blue exorcist. fun fact this is the name of the same plant that Shiemi used to block Satan's flames in episode 24: Satan's spawn. Disclaimer : I do not own Blue Exorcist ).

" Poor Amaimon " Grimora said crying. " WAIT A SECOND! HOW LONG HAS HE BEEN HERE?! " Rin yelled. everyone except the twins turned pale. " WELL?! " Yukio yelled angry too. " he was here before any of us. hell he was here before me! " Caster said. " YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT HE WAS HERE HE WHOLE TIME! " Rin yelled. we all nodded slowly.

" SO YOU GUYS LIED TO US! " Yukio yelled. wait wait wait. hold up. " WE DIDN'T LIE! " I yelled back at Rin. " YOU SAID - "" I NEVER SAID HE WASN'T LIVING WITH US! PLUS WHAT DID YOU EXPECT! YOU WOULD'VE GOTTEN ANGRY AND ATTACKED HIM! HE HASN'T DON'T ANYTHING WRONG! HE TREATS HER LIKE SHE IS THE ONLY THING KEEPING HIM ALIVE, AND ITS BEEN THAT WAY SINCE THE BEGINNING WHEN THEY MET, WHICH IS MORE THAN I CAN SAY FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE " I yelled at him.

Amaimon's POV:

I just held her. hoping she would come back to me. hoping that she would just open her eyes. i want to see those beautiful forest green eyes again.

" please come back to me. please. I can't live without you. you've changed my life and I couldn't be more grateful that I met you. as selfish as it is, I'm happy you lost your friend that day, because now you have me. the universe chose us for some reason and I'll never know why if you don't come back to me. so please just wake up. I don't want to imagine a world, a day, or a second without you with me. these year has been Gehenna on earth and I never want to be alone again. I miss us. I miss our sleepovers. I miss our lessons. I miss the way your eyes lit up when you realized that you were the only one to see me without my mask. I miss the way you would bribe me with candy. and how you looked for me when I ran away from home. I miss you and I miss us. I don't know what it is but there is something else there. we both feel it, I know we do. that feeling we get when we just lay there looking at each other. that feeling we get when we would just hold hands. that feeling we get when we were just about to fall asleep in each others warmth. that feeling we get when I held you in my arms. I miss that feeling. I like that feeling. and I've only ever felt it when I'm with you. remember when I promised I wouldn't die on you? you didn't so you wouldn't get hurt didn't you? well what about me? didn't you think of how I would feel if you died on me? I know Keytas aren't immortal but I didn't think you would leave me this early. It hurts too much. I never want to lose you " I whispered as I felt tears run down my face.

I wish we could just go back to that first day. suddenly I remembered something. something she said. something she told me that would change my life. I remembered the treehouse. the tree house that we made almost exactly a year ago. we were just watching a movie.

flashback :

" what are they doing? " I said taking my eyes off the screen and looking at her. the windows were covered and the room was dark. she was illuminated by the light from the screen. she looked away from the screen and her eyes met mine.

" kissing " she said like it was something everyone should know. " what is kissing? " I asked. " its something you do to show you love someone " she said like I was supposed to know what love was. is it one of those human emotions? " what is love? " I asked wanting to know what it was.

" that's a hard question, I haven't said love in 6 years but I'll try to explain. love is the human emotion of wanting to be with someone everyday and see them all the time and have them at your side and getting sad when they get hurt. love isn't about how much you say it, its about how much you can prove it " she said. ( chapter 1, you can check, its word for word, at least the dialogue is )

flashback end :

and that's when it happened. that's when I realized. " I LOVE YOU! PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME BECAUSE I LOVE YOU! " I yelled crying more.

Korosu's POV : ( I literally smiled while typing Korosu's POV because its nostalgic also SUPRISE MY REAPERS! )

I wake up in darkness and not the good kind. where am I. it was just black for miles and miles and I didn't know where the walls were but I was standing so there was a floor. suddenly there was a light. it was bright and was almost blinding but that was because my eyes hadn't adjusted. ( like when your parents turn on the lights in the middle of the night and it burns )

once my eyes adjusted I saw her. " mom? " I asked and she smiled at me. I was starting to run at her to give her a hug but she put her hand up and I stopped. " you have to wait sweetheart " she said. she pointed behind me and a saw her, but younger her. my Keyta. " what are you doing here " I asked confused. " you're going to have to make a choice " she said.

" what choice? " I asked. " you can either come with me to heaven and live there with me " my mom said, " or you can come back down to Assiah and with your mate but with some changes " my Keyta said. " what happens if I choose you " I said looking at mom. " you get to live with me in heaven but you lose your mate connection with Amaimon because your not only dead but an angel. you won't ever be able to return unless you're chosen for reincarnation but then you lose all your memories of your passed life, but you were originally a Keyta so you can't be reincarnated unless cursed by a powerful mage. you and me can finally live together again and one day your dad will join us and we will be a family again " she said.

" but what if I choose you? " I asked looking at my Keyta. " you get to go back to your mate and siblings but you have to make a contract with me. the contract is what we call grim reaper territory, meaning its neither holy nor unholy. its in between or not at all. you get regeneration in human form, super human strength in human form when you want it, and ,ha, immortality " she said. " why did you laugh when you said immortality? " I asked. " because immortality would allow you to watch what you hate most in the world. you will watch everyone you love around you die " she said.

" but remember its immortality not invincibility so you can die, you'll just stay alive until someone succeeds in killing you. sadly this contract will not make you a full-blooded Keyta but you don't need to worry about that, you have a demon as a mate after all " she said smirking. I blushed and put my hands over my face.

" but on a serious note, what path do you choose? " my mother said. I want to be a family with my mom again but I also want to be with Amaimon. " oh I almost forgot. we are frozen in time but Amaimon said this a minute or two after your flatline " my Keyta said clapping.

Okami will because she's a werewolf, I don't know about Kasai though, or Caster. but I also want to be with mom.

I was just crying. she's gone. she's gone. she's- no. don't think that. I don't want to but I'm starting to lose hope. the longer I stare at her, the longer it becomes real and I don't want it to be real. I don't want her to die. then...... it happened. I felt it. I felt a hand touch my cheek. the sparks that it emitted.

I slowly opened my eyes and looked down at her. that's when I found them. her forest green eyes.

Korosu's POV :

I woke up. I opened my eyes and looked around. the room was covered in vines and the lights were dimmed. Amaimon was crying and had bags under his eyes ( more than he usually does ). I couldn't stand to see him cry. I put my hand on his cheek and he froze. I missed those sparks. how long was I out? he opened his eyes and I was so happy to see those eyes again.

this is what love looks like. I thought. and I did what felt natural. I did what felt right. I was so full with happiness. happiness of something I didn't think I could ever have . and that made me smile.

" I love you too " I said. my body ached all over but I got up and get on my knees. " I love you so much " I said hugging him. he was in shock for a second but he snapped out of it and hugged me back tightly. He cried on my shoulder and I watched as the vines grew flowers.

" I missed you " he said crying. " I missed you too " I said hugging his tighter. he broke apart from the hug and he put one hand on my cheek. we both just got lost in each other's eyes. my eyes flickered down to his lips and I notice the distance was getting smaller. I turned my head a bit and closed my eyes. we both leaned in and we kissed.

the kiss was different. different than anything both of us have ever done but it was almost instinct. our lips moved in sync like the earth. the wind, the plants, the water, the rocks, the animals. it moved like it was an old song that only we could remember the beat to. it was sweet and passionate. and like him without his mask, I was the only one that would ever get to experience it. he almost always had his mask on and when it was off I got to see his emotions but now its like he's pouring them all into this kiss.
