so the vote goal wasn't reached and that makes me sad. but I was so excited to get you guys this chapter that I couldn't wait.  my leg is healing pretty well for those of you who actually care. my cat is doing well to for those who actually know my instagram. MOMO-CON was great!! I only went on Thursday but I got to meet some cosplayers and I was dressed as Pikachu and brought a stuffed Pikachu with me. I was also captured by two people dressed as pokeballs. all in all, it was awesome.  anyway, on with the chapter!

Okami POV :    { 7 weeks later }

so when we got home, I avoided Yukio like the Plague. Mephy also said I couldn't stay home much longer, so I started going back to school. That didn't stop me from avoiding Yukio in school and refusing to go to cram school. I talked to Mephy over the phone and got him to send over the last 46 books on human customs. the plan was that I would quiz Amaimon and he would read them while I was at school. 

while I was in school, me and Claude started hanging out and holding hands. everything had to go according to plan. everyone stared and whispered. rumors spread and everyone thought we were dating. we were only like that around others who didn't know that it was all a lie.

we were ready for the final stage of the lie.

Present:

" Claude where are we going? " I asked in case anyone was watching. I was blindfolded and I would have been tense but I knew exactly where we were going. you never blindfold an animal and a shifter, like a werewolf, letting you do it, is a demonstration of the upmost trust.

as I turned down the hall in the cram school, I could already hear rustling inside the cram school class room. I could hear them moving and telling each other to shut up and be quiet. it almost made me laugh how much they bicker.

I felt the small rush of air as Claude opened the door. I felt Claude removed the blindfold and as I opened my eyes I got ready for the biggest act of my life. he turned the lights on and I saw all of my cram school friends jump up and yelled " surprise! " I tried my best to look shocked.

looks like it was believable, because their smiles were unwavering. " what is all this? " I asked hugging bon and moving to Rin. " ask Claude " Rin said. I turned to Claude and raised an eyebrow. " what is this about? " I asked finishing hugging all of my classmates.

here it comes. " I wanted them all to be here to see it happen " he says blushing shifting his gaze to the floor. " see what happen? Claude what are you doing?! " I yelled as he got down on one knee.

" I know we haven't gone out for long but I feel something special. I want you to be there everyday of my life. I'm sorry that I'm doing this and we aren't out of high school yet but I wanted to do this before my parents betrothed me to someone else. so, will you marry me? " he asked looking up with a blue ring in a silver box.

I stared in shock. " yes! yes! YES! YES! YES! " I said jumping on him as he was standing up. he stumbled a bit but he didn't fall. I gave him a kiss on the cheek and watched a blush claw its way up his neck. I got off of him and he slid the sapphire ring in my finger.

the whole class cheered and I turned to see their faces. everyone looked happy........ except 2. Zoyiah looked dejected, she knew it was a lie for the good of their future but that didn't stop her from feeling upset about me and Claude's fake affection. Yukio was against the wall in the back of the room. he looked ready to kill and this is the first time I could tell he was a demon.

I'm going to have to fix this, aren't I?

we all went through the door that brought us back to our chaotic little world that was completely hidden to the real world, our dorm. we all walked in and were all tired. Yukio was the last to step in and slammed the door.

the dorm shook with the force and resonated with the vibration. we all looked  back at him and he pushed by all of us and ran upstairs. I sighed. " he's upset. Its my fault. you guys can go to sleep, I got it " I said pulling a hand through my hair.

" you sure? " Grimora said concern written all over her face. " yeah, I know you guys are tired and I don't want him lashing out at you guys " I said going after him. I walked down the hall and took a deep breath.

I was about to knock but the door flew open. he growled and pulled me into the room. he threw me onto the bed and he hovered over me. " you've been avoiding me " he said monotone.

" no I haven't " I said nervously. he growled menacingly and stared me down, a sign of challenge among werewolves. " I get that your demon side feels angry and wants to be dominant but don't challenge me, are you really okay with hurting me? " I asked him looking him in the eyes.

his eyes softened a bit but still held its intensity. " no, but what am I supposed to feel? you avoid cram school and avoid me in regular school. I see and hear about you and Claude all the time and I get angry. I don't do anything because I want them to work out. I want Claude to be able to choose his life, but my demon wants you to be all mine. Its moments like this were I'm tired, tired of fighting but I don't want to give up because I don't want you to hate me for what he could do " he said trying to hold his tears back.

" I know this is hard and I'm sorry about this but you're right. I want Claude to be able to decide what he wants to do with his life. I have to do this. I have been avoiding you because I wanted to be sure that this was really what I want. yes, this will be hard for me and for this to work, you have to fight all the time, but I want to be with you again " I said looking at him so he knew I was serious.

he smiled and my breath hitched. he could still make my stomach fill with butterflies. he leaned down so close our breaths mixed. he put our foreheads together and I gave him a pleading look. " please don't " I said afraid.  

" I won't " he said taking a deep breath. " I'm just really happy " he said. " we have to start off slow. really slow. if you see me go pale then try to make me forget. if you can't make me forget then hold me. mate touch has numbing properties. we can do this. if none of this works then I'm just going to have to work through it " I said.

" anything. I'll do anything if it means I have you " he said. we sat there in silence, our breath dancing together. I felt my eyelids begin to close, my tiredness getting the better of me. " Okami? are you okay? " Yukio asked quietly but I could still hear the concern laced in his voice.

" I'm just tired " I said drifting off into the darkness.

dream start :

I saw a bright light and I was brought back to the room that I forgot about over the piles of test and stress of avoiding the younger offspring of the devil himself. the weird things is that Grimora was with us. what was she doing here?

" where am I?! Caster, what's going on? I just went to sleep and now I'm in this strange room?  where are we? " she said panicked. I heard my mom chuckle and turned to see her trying to keep herself from laughing.

my mom was a serious person but that didn't stop her from being a mom. she always looked young and she would hang out with us and play pranks. she was the best mom ever. she was nice until someone insulted us or her husband.

Grimora turned around and all I could see swirling in her eyes were horror. she ran and when she was at least 15 feet away from my mom she bowed. " hello Enjeru, Guardian Angel of the shadows of the cracks of the human soul. I was not aware that I was in the presence of such a powerful Guardian Angel. I'm sorry but I am not aware of any unforgivable crime I have committed, but please I don't want to die. I have contributed to the good of the supernatural world. I would not like to leave my master for any crimes " she said trying not to cry.

what is going on? how does she know my mom? what a cool title for an angel? did Grimora commit a crime? " please rise " Enjeru said. Grimora stood up straight and shook in fear of her fate. " come here " she said crooking her finger, summoning her to come closer.

she took shaky steps towards her and when she was at least 3 feet from her. Enjeru circled her and stopped in front of her. " not bad, I've read her records and she is so clean, she could almost be an angel. she's beautiful and she is really nice. a very kind heart. the universe did a good job. I approve of her,welcome to the family " she said giving a thumbs up to Caster who smiled like he won the lottery.

" wait, what's going on? " Grimora said looking from Caster to Enjeru. " you're not in trouble. I'm retired. I brought you here to get a good look at you. the only crime you have committed was being the perfect soul mate for my son " Enjeru said gesturing to Caster.

" wait! son! " she said looking in disbelief. she broke down crying and Caster gave her a hug. " why didn't you tell me! " she said crying. " I didn't want to scare you away when we met so I never talked about it " he said kissing her on the head.

" I was so scared! why did you do that! why didn't you tell me! I would've been okay with it! I didn't know that was your mom! uh I made the worst first impression! what - " she was cut off by Caster stealing her lips with a kiss, which she returned.

it was a short kiss and a loving one. anyone who saw knew they were in love by seeing the gesture. " okay. okay. I'm calm now. thank you, but why didn't you just tell me that she was your mom " she said taking deep breaths.

" I asked him not to " Enjeru said. " but-but why? " she said pouting. " I wanted to see the fear of meeting your mates parents. I think the reaction was perfect. plus I wanted to be intimidating " she said laughing.

" your intimidating without knowing that you were his mom " she mumbled. and Caster started chuckled which got him a playful glare and a punch to the shoulder. " they are perfect, I couldn't have been prouder " Enjeru said wiping away a tear.

" thank you so much! your okay with me being a demon? " Grimora asked with worried eyes. " hey, if I'm okay with the demon king of earth being mates with my only daughter that turned out to have a part of me then why wouldn't I except the demon who has never committed one crime? " Enjeru said raising an eyebrow.

" why are you okay with that anyway? " Kasai asked. we all looked at Enjeru with curious eyes. why would an angel, a guardian angel none the less, allow her daughter to be mated to a demon king?

" yes, I must admit he wasn't my first choice. I have my reasons to agree. one being that it can't be changed. not even I can bend fate. but it was also unplanned. no one plans for an angel to fall from the sky. but I did and because of that, so many lives changed. creatures had to be factored into the lives of others. the lives of both my husbands changed, anyone who knew them changed, I had kids who had to be mates of others, who ever met you guys changed, the lives of your mates changed. she was picked to be with Amaimon for the safety of the future. he wasn't supposed to have a mate. none of your mates were, but its moments like this when I think that me falling was the best that could happen. I didn't plan any of this to happen but I do plan to make sure that you are happy and part of that is making sure you all know that I except you " she said.

" what do you mean for the safety of the future? " I asked confused. " oops, said too much. oh, they are calling me. bye guys. Caster I want grandbabies " she said as the room faded

I woke up to the sun peeking through the blinds. I sat up, rubbing my eyes. I took a deep breath and froze. this isn't my room. it doesn't smell like me, it smells like....... I looked over the edge of the bed and found Yukio sleeping on the floor.

" what are you doing?! " I yelled in surprise. Yukio jolted awake and we slammed heads. we both backed away holding our heads while a chorus of ow's left our lips. " son of a bitch " I yelled flailing my feet. damn demons, why are they so freakishly strong! ( we all remember the kuro incident )

" what do you mean what am I doing? this is my room " He said holding his head. " I mean what are you doing on the floor! " I yelled. " I didn't want to push any boundaries or bring back memories so I kept my distance " he said letting go of this head.

I stopped. he was trying to protect me. he is trying. he is trying really hard. it brought a small smile that played on my lips. " thank you. It means a lot Yukio really " I said sliding down to the floor and grabbing his hand.

his fingers intertwined with mine and he smiled up at me. " I told you. I will do anything " he said giving my hand a squeeze. " well then teacher boy, I'm going to need you to be on your best behavior because we have to go meet Claude's parents and I have to be his fiancé " I said getting up.

" we are going today? why? " he said slightly angry about the mention of me and Claude's engagement. " we needed to get engaged fast so his parents think we are rushing into things, we need to be there today to show that we are engaged and for them to think that we are doing this on a whim " I said.

" what if this doesn't work out. what if they like you? " he asked worried. " Yukio, I'm a rogue werewolf with an attitude, no social ranking, and little friends. I don't think they can like me " I said shutting the door.

we all finished breakfast and got ready to teleport. " Claude, you did tell your parents that we are teleporting in right? " Caster asked concerned. " yeah, I called them yesterday " he said taking a deep breath.

" lets do this " he said and we were off. the portal was ready in seconds and they all walked though but me, Zoyiah, and Claude. me and Claude held hands and Zoyiah walked in first. we walked though together and there was a flash of white and then we were in the entrance to this huge castle.  

" so these are the conditions that a pure bloods live in? why didn't I expect a castle? " I said turning around to the dumb founded faces of everyone else. the doors opened and I put a smile on my face. " master Claude? I didn't think you were serious when you said you got engaged. your parents thought you were joking, especially when you said she was a werewolf " a maid around 14 said looking confused.  

" hello. I'm Claude's fiancé, Okami. nice to meet you " I said. she squeaked and hid behind the door. " Ren its okay! she won't hurt you. your a 300 year old vampire for god's sake. calm down, I know you're young but please behave " Claude said to the maid.

" my apologies master Claude, right this way. your parents are about to have lunch " the maid said opening the door, letting us in. 300 is not young! she looks 14! she led us to a door and knocked. I heard someone yell " come in " and the maid poked her head in.

" Mistress Amelia, Master Alexzander. master Claude wasn't kidding about the engagement. he is here with his fiancé and friends to eat with you " she said. " oh! let them in! " a voice said.

the maid opened the door and we all walked in, marveling at all the decorations. ( I won't bore you with the details, you guys can imagine it however you like ). we all sat down. Claude was on my left and Yukio on my right. Zoyiah was one Claude's left. across the table was Rin, Kasai, Grimora, and Caster.

the food was placed in front of us and we all started to eat. " so Claude when did you and your fiancé meet? " Amelia asked sipping her cup. I grabbed my cup and took a sip, not knowing what she was drinking.

as soon as it touched my tongue, I put the cup back and quickly reached for the napkin. I quickly whipped my tongue on it and watched it turn red. " is the blood not to your liking? " Amelia said raising an eyebrow.  

" no madam, I'm afraid it is not. I am a werewolf. I don't like human blood, I prefer deer " I said hating the taste in my mouth. " mother, her name is Okami " Claude said. " Luce can you get her some water please " Claude said to the maid from earlier.

" mother, we have been together for 7 weeks. almost two months " Claude said. " so Okami, what pack do you belong to? " Alexzander asked drinking from his cup. " Oh, I don't belong to one sir, I am a rogue " I said cutting into my steak.

I heard Alexzander go into a fit of coughs. " excuse me? " he said looking at Claude like ' you chose her! ' " I used to be beta of my old pack though " I said trying to keep Claude out of trouble.

" so you used to be in a pack? " Amelia asked. " yes. I ran away from my old life and was adopted by the alpha of the mon loup moon pack. the current alpha was my adoptive brother and gave me the beta position " I said.

" so you got the position from favoritism? " Alexzander said his voice edging anger. " no. sometimes I think he saved my life. I never had any friends. don't be intimidated by my sent, I've had it since birth. once I became beta, I trained everyday, not like I had any friends to hang out with anyway. but I did prove my worth. I was challenged all the time over the 7 years I was beta " I said taking a bite of my steak.

" what happened then? " Amelia asked. " my past came back. the mage across from me is my brother. the fire tamer is my sister. my other sister is in a coma. they came and found me, she said that she wanted us all to be together and, as dumb as it sounds, I left my pack for them. I never felt like I belonged and they made me feel like I did. when you spend your whole life watching others be happy, there comes a day where you want to be happy too " said as the door opened.

Luce gave me my water " thank you very much " I said taking the water. " you're welcome miss " she said trembling but left with a small smile. " so Claude why are you marrying so early? " Alexzander asked. " I wanted to get married before you guys take it away from me " he said calmly and I almost choked on my spit.

since when did Claude have sass?! " we are picking someone suitable! '' his mother hissed. " who ever I choose is suitable! " Claude said.  " what do you know about being suitable?! " his father yelled. " I know that who ever I choose can make me happy which is more than I can say about who ever you can choose! " he yelled his eyes flashing bright red.

" it doesn't matter if you're happy. you have to marry who ever we choose to preserve the blood line! it doesn't matter what you have to say! " his mother yelled. I'VE HAD ENOUGH!

I slammed my hands on the table so hard it splintered. the vibrations caused the silverware to shake, cups tip over, and the plates to crack. " THAT'S ENOUGH! I THOUGHT MY LIFE WAS BAD! YOU ARE HIS PARENTS! YOUR JOBS IS TO KEEP HIM HAPPY EVERY DAY OF HIS LIFE AND HIS WIFE SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO THE SAME! I MAY NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT VAMPIRES BUT I HAVE HEARD BAD THINGS! I WAS HOPING THAT PURE BLOOD FAMILIES WERE MORE SIVILIZED BUT I CAN SEE YOU GUYS ARE NOT BETTER THAN THE MONSTERS THE HUMANS MAKE YOU OUT TO BE! IT MAKES ME SICK THAT YOU GUYS CAN CALL YOURSELVES PARENTS! " I spit letting Rain say what I couldn't say.

" SIT DOWN MUTT " Alexzander hissed. " BITE ME DRACULA " I barked. he got up and was going to hit me but when the hit didn't come I looked up. Yukio was on fire and blocked his bit. Alexzander yelled holding his now scorched hand while Yukio tried to stop the bleeding from the scratch from the pure blood's hit.

" Satan's flames! " Amelia yelled afraid. " Claude! how could you bring Satan into our home!? " Claude's mother yelled. " first of all, this isn't my home! and second they are half demon. born from a human mother. they are exorcist! the one you just injured is the padlin! " he yelled.

they paled and that's saying something because they are vampires. " I'm fine " Yukio said his demon healing kicking in." we are so sorry, we were not aware who you were. our sincerest apologies " they said bowing.

" no offence but why have you paid us a visit? to what reason do we own the pleasure of your presence " Amelia said asked. " my brother is mated to Okami's sister and we all live in the same dorm so we are all good friends. everyone in the dorm is an exorcist " he said moving his jacket to show his pistols.

" so Okami, do you have any social rank? " Amelia asked. sitting down. I see she doesn't want to get in trouble with the Vatican. " no, I've been a no body since birth " I said sitting. " I see " she said.

" madam if I may speak " Zoyiah asked. " you may " Amelia answered. " master Claude has been doing great with his power training and I really think that transferring him to true cross was a good decision. I think he is almost to the point of his Schimbare " she said.

" at least there was some good news tonight " Alexzander stated under his breath. " what is Schimbare? " I asked. " its a Romanian word. it means change. he is in a weak state in his vampire years. its to prevent destruction and rampage. once he learns to use his powers and control them properly then he will be able to become a real pure blood. he will change slightly when it happens. he will become taller and will become intimidating and the power he admits will increase to a normal pure blood wave strength. until then, I am here to make sure he doesn't lose control and will sedate him if necessary. my family has served this one for years so as the only kid, I was inevitably chosen to be master Claude's body Guard, but once he is changed then he won't need me anymore " Zoyiah explained with sadness in her eyes, he voice unwavering.

" sadly they didn't have a boy like I would've preferred so she had to due " Alexzander stated waving Zoyiah off. Zoyiah looked really sad. " sadly you weren't pleasant like I would've preferred but you'll have to do " I mumbled.  

Alexzander glared at me and I scowled back. " Zoyiah is a great body guard and I'm happy to have her around " Claude said smiling at Zoyiah. " thank you Claude " she said kneeling. " excuse me? " Alexzander's glare changed from me to Zoyiah.  

" I'm so sorry sire. I didn't mean to! " Zoyiah said looking like she wanted to shrink away from his glare. " how dare you address my son in such a way! you are below us! I should have you hanged! " Amelia yelled!

" mother NO! it is fine! " Claude argued. " No it is no! slaves and low classes like her can not address their masters in such a way! " Alexzander said standing. " SHUT THE HELL UP ALREADY WITH THAT BULLSHIT! " Claude yelled shocking everyone with his voice.  

" you best hold your tongue, unless you want to get in trouble " Amelia stated with venom in her voice. " sorry " he said looking down. this is the reason he acts this way. why he is so scared all the time.

 all this time I thought it was because he was like me, alone. but in reality, its because he has never been able to think. to think of something to say because his parents always expected him to say what they wanted to hear. he was never allowed to think for himself. he was never allowed to be himself.

he could if he wanted but no matter what, he loves his parents. he loves them so much that he is willing to stay quiet. he is willing to play a puppet because it would make them happy. he is willing to be exactly who they wanted him to be.

the sad part is that he isn't. he isn't a kid anymore. he can think for himself and he had the power to go beyond the black and white picture that what painted for him as a child. he was able to see beyond what his parents believed and that made him a man.  

but he is yet to figure this out. he is yet to realize that his parents don't really love him like he thought. I always hear how love is making sure the other person is happy but that has never been true. real love isn't ensuring happiness for someone else, its about finding compromise, because if you spend your life making someone else happy then you'll be miserable.

Alexzander stalked towards Zoyiah, the usually cheerful girl was now backing away in fear of the monster in front of her. everyone got up to help her but I held my arm out and they stopped. I look at Claude and put my hand on his shoulder. " you can do this " I said to him.

he lifted his head and looked at her terrified form. he started crying and shook his head. " I can't. I can't go against their decision " he said clutching his hair. " she will die if you don't. you have to do this. its your turn to protect her. you can't let her die " I said looking at her. " you can't be their puppet forever " I whispered.

his head snapped up and he pushed his chair back. he sped in front of her and scowled at his father. his eyes. his eyes weren't normal. his eyes were that vibrant red from earlier. " Claude calm down " Alexzander said in fear.

Claude snarled and uppercut his father. his father was out before he hit the floor. his mother screamed and ran out of the room. " what's going on? " I asked. Claude turned and looked at me. he snarled again and I bowed my head and showed my neck. a symbol of submission.

he completely ignored me after that.  " he's out of control! he is going based on instinct! he is overly powerful at the moment! this is why I'm here! stay way from him until I sedate him! " she said pulling out a syringe.

he turned and slapped the syringe out of her hand and pushed her against the wall. the syringe broke in impact and I smelled it. horse tranquilizer? really! is he that bad! he had her pinned against the wall.

he growled but stopped. he took in a deep breath and smiled. devious smile. he sniffed her and she tensed. he sniffed her neck and she tried to push his away but he grabbed her hands. his fangs sunk into her neck and he seemed to relax but only a bit.

he let go of her hands and enclosed it around her waist. her hands traveled to his hair and pulled trying to pry him off. he only hugged her closer and it looked sincere in a scary sort of way. like not matter what he did, he wouldn't let her go or hurt her.

she looked like she was losing strength. he was draining her. I slowly walked towards him. he was so focused on her that I was able to sneak behind him. I got ready and quickly pressure pointed him. it knocked him out, but he was held up by Zoyiah.

she looked tired but still held him and slowly sat down. she slowly pried his mouth open and laid him down in her lap. Yukio brushed past me and put a bandage where he bit her. " he didn't inject any transformation venom so I'm fine. he just took at least 2 pints of blood. I'm just happy he is safe. how did you know what to do? " she asked looking at me.

" the syringe had horse tranquilizer in it so I knew he had to be knocked out. I know many pressure points and I knew this one would knock him out " I shrugged. " he will be back normal when he wakes up. this isn't the first time it happened. he did the same thing when we were little, but I was able to sedate him while he drained me " she said kissing his head.

he smiled and stirred in his sleep. she carried him to his room and we waited outside.

he woke up and the maid left to inform Amelia. Claude left the room and we all gave him a group hug. " you guys not afraid of me? " he asked worried. " no Claude. we don't care. we all get out of hand sometimes " Kasai laughed.

" Claude " we heard a stern voice say. we all turned to find Amelia. " Claude we need to talk " she said. he walked over to her and the started talking. we all just sat there and waited. he came back looking pale. " Claude what's wrong? " I asked.  

" they are okay with me marrying you " he said.
