- 6 days later -

It's almost been a week. I've been living with the same routine every single day. Take a shower, go back to my cage, get my wound disinfected, get bandaged up, then receive my meal. He would also come when I called if I needed to use the bathroom. I'm starting to get tired of this. He can't just keep me in here for as long as he wants. I'm not a pet.

I hear the door knob move, causing me to look up from the floor. Hearing footsteps come down the stair I glance at a cold mobster with no expression on his face.

(Why is he here? I already ate, he's not supposed to come down here until I call or tomorrow.)

I thought to myself while watching him. He walks over to my cage and pulls out a key, Soryu unlocks the door. Opening it he extends his right hand towards me while looking away so he won't make eye contact with me for some reason. I get up slowly a bit confused about all of this. It was easier for me to get up now that my wound has healed pretty well but it's still a little hard for me to stand on my hurt leg for too long. Also many of my bruises have cleared up but a few still remain.

I cautiously walk towards him and stop when I'm right next to him. We've barely even said a word to each other all these days and he hasn't hurt me anymore which is a good sign but I'm
not letting my guard down. He looks at me with the corner of his eyes and unexpectedly speaks up as he lowers his hand.

Soryu: " I was giving you a hand, wasn't it clear?"

Serena: " And I didn't want to take your hand, wasn't it clear?"

I reply to his harsh tone as I mock the last part, saying it like he did before. He glares at me and grabs my wrist pulling me out of the cage, walking upstairs he takes me with him. I look at his back with a confused expression on my face.

(What's he doing? Where is he taking me?)

I questioned in my thoughts while being pulled. Soryu opens the door and takes me to what I'm guessing is the living room, there he pulls my wrist, pushing me on the couch. I glare at him and make myself comfortable on it while watching his every move.

Soryu: "Listen like it or not you're stuck with me so you better not make this situation more complicated then it already is."

Serena: " You kidnapped me against my will, you shot me which wasn't by my will either and you lock me in a cage like an animal against my will again. So I'm making this complicated?"

I say with a hint of sarcasm, leaving him dead silent. Letting him think of what to respond for a few seconds I check out the place with my eyes.

(Geesh this place could use some cleaning..)

I thought to myself while looking at the decorations of the place. Most of the things looked new but seemed dusty as if it was abandoned for some time. Soryu then speaks up while crossing his arms on his chest.

Soryu: "You still belong to me, remember? So you will do as I say."

He says firmly to me. As he says those words memories of the past filled my head. He was right. He bought me. I am his property. I fell into silence, hearing what he said.

Serena: "..."

Soryu: " Do you understand?"

He says in a cold tone while I stare at the floor. There wasn't anything I could do. A part of me wants to beat him to the pulp but a part of me felt... restricted..? As if I was being hold back. Was it because he owns me..? Or something else..? Sighing I manage to nod my head.

Soryu: "Good, now I'm going to lay down the rules for you."

He says to me but I continue to look at the ground and I think it irritated him because he snapped his fingers to grab my attention. Looking up I see a very serious Soryu with his left eyebrow raised.

Soryu: "Look at me when I'm speaking to you."

Serena: "..."

Soryu: "Respond to my questions."

Serena: "That wasn't a question though."

I state which makes him release his arms, placing them down as a fist forms on his right hand. He concentrates his anger there while sighing.

Soryu: "No smart comments."

Serena: "Kay."

I say as I roll my eyes at him. He glares at me and I swear if looks could kill...

Soryu: "Speak to me with respect, I'm not your friend. I'm your owner."

Serena: "As you wish your highness."

Soryu: "Do you want me to treat you coldly again?"

He questions causing me to slinging gulp. I shake my head slowly, answering his question and in return I get a smirk from him.

(Ahole..)

Soryu: "You will not leave this place without my permission. You will speak when I tell you so, I don't feel like getting a headache. You are prohibited to enter my room and like I said before. You will do as I say."

He says to me in a firm tone while still wearing his smirk on his lips. I hang my head lowly as I let out a small sigh. A bunch of thoughts and questions multiplied their way into my mind.

(So this is for real? We're starting all over again..? I am his property again..? I'm no longer Serena..? I'm not longer a human being..? I'm just a thing..?)

Soryu then walked out of the room, taking steps towards a door on my right. He opens it and enters, closing the door behind him. When I hear him lock the door I stand up on my feet. I didn't know what to do. I couldn't just leave, he'd kill me plus I have to idea of where I am. When I escaped all I saw were woods and plains. This place was the true definition of the middle of nowhere.

Serena: "Hm..."

I thought on wether or not I should explore the place but came to the conclusion to just go back to the basement. There I entered my unlocked cage and hugged my knees as a few tears streamed down my face.

(Is it my fault...? Did I turn him into this...? Soryu why...why couldn't you have stayed loyal to me..? None of this would've happened if you did...)

Soryu's P.O.V.

I couldn't look at her anymore. I couldn't stand it. Walking away I entered my room and locked the door behind me. I rested my back on my door as I stayed silent. Hearing her footsteps through the door I release a sigh. Knowing that she went back downstairs and is no longer in the living room I slouch down to the floor.

Soryu: "I'm sorry...I'm so sorry.."

I say under my breath as I clench my jaw and punch the floor as hard as I can. Glancing up I look at all the holes on the walls and broken furniture in my room. I've been letting all my anger out here. Sometimes I even grab an axe and start cutting trees without the need of fire wood.

I'm so angry...I've hurt her so much. I'm cold...maybe even too cold but if being this way is the only way I'll have her then I guess I'll have to continue. I've been dying inside these past months with out her. I can't stand being away from her anymore. She's mine and only mine.

(Is it my fault? Did I hurt her so bad that she he's me so much? Serena why...why couldn't you have just believed me..? None of this would've happened if you did...)

I thought to myself as I whipped my head back and close my eyes. Taking a deep breath I begin to think of all of this. How would it have been if she never thought I cheated on her. How could I? Why did she have no faith in me? I love her...always have...always will... Standing up I walk over to my desk. Picking up a wrapped up object I slowly unravel the red cloth, revealing a small black box.

Soryu: "If only none of that mess would've happened...."

I say lowly while opening the box. Once it was open a diamond encrusted ring was in my view.

Soryu:  "You wouldn't been my wife....and I would've been your husband..."
