-The next day-

I wake up with a smile on my lips. The pain I felt behind my neck every time I woke up was no longer there. Now I finally felt comfortable and had a good nights sleep since I slept on the couch. Trust me it's way more comfortable then a cage. Pulling off a blanket Soryu had given me I get up and stretch my arms.

I grab the blanket and go downstairs to grab some clean clothes and take a shower. Once I do so I brush my teeth and hair. When I finish I put on some clean clothes and walk out. Hearing Soryu call my name I walk upstairs.

Serena: "Coming."

Soryu: "Here."

Serena: "What?"

I ask as he tosses something at me. Once I catch it I love my right hand to see what it was. Opening my hand it reveals a key.

Serena: "What's this key for?"

Soryu: "It's for opening a door."

Serena: "You don't sayyyy."

I trail off with sarcasm clearly ringing in my tone as I look at him. He chuckles at his smartA comment then points at a door next to his room. I tilt my head slightly confused as I walk over to the door.

I put the key in and to my surprise it unlocks the door.When I turn the knob and open the door it reveals a clean, well decorated guest room. 

Serena: "Soryu?"

Soryu: "I over heard you mumbling in your sleep how uncomfortable the cage."

He explains to me.

Serena: "You had a spare room this whole time!?"

Soryu: "Mhm."

Serena: "But you...And I was...While you knew...Ugh... Thanks I guess."

I sigh while looking down. I set the key on a drawer which I guess is mine now. Walking back downstairs I grab my bag of clothes and take them back to my new room. When I'm done organizing everything I get my dirty clothes and take them to the washer.

Serena: "Hm...I should wash his too.."

I walk away from the washer without turning it on yet and make my way to Soryu. He raises an eyebrow, wondering what I was going to say to him while he lets down his book.

Serena: "Soryu."

Soryu: "Hm?"

Serena: "I'm going to wash my clothes and thought I should throw yours in the washer as well."

I explain to him with a sight at the end.

Soryu: "You want to do my laundry?"

Serena: "It's not that I want to I just thought it'd be best to just get it done now. We shouldn't waste so much electricity or water, it isn't good for the earth."

I try to come up with an excuse as I look away hiding a cherry pink color on my cheeks. For some reason I felt a bit embarrassed.

Soryu: "Since when did you care about the earth?"

Serena: "Ever since I was born on it."

Soryu: "I'll go get my hamper."

He chuckles then smirks as he gets up and walks towards his room door. Opening the door he enters his room and gets his hamper.

Serena: "Hurry up before I change my mind."

Soryu: "Oh yeah?"

Serena: "Mhm."

Soryu then starts walking my way but in slow motion, obviously trying to annoy me. I roll my eyes and walk over to him, pulling the hamper away. I then leave and throw his clothes into the open washer. Turning it on with an ace pod, I go back to the living room.

Serena: "Where'd you get that book?"

Soryu: "From a store."

Serena: "No, I'm serious. Where'd you get it from?"

I say while rolling my eyes because of him and his smart comments.

Soryu: "I'm serious too, from a store."

Serena:  "You know what I mean."

Soryu: "I know, I have a bookcase full of books in my room."

Serena: "You do!??"

I yell in a questioning way with a hint of excitement. He smirks as he gets up from the floor where he was sitting with the book he was reading.

(I still don't understand why he likes to read books on the floor. Weirdo.)

Serena: "Can I read one!?"

Soryu: "Give me a second."

He says to me as he walks to his room.
Once he's in he closes the door behind him for some reason and I just wait out in the living room.

Serena: "Okay..?"

Soryu: "Come in."

I hear him say, allowing me to enter as he opens the door. When I enter I notice most of his furniture destroyed, holes in the walls. It was so depressing. That room was nothing like the one he had at the penthouse. He was more organized and clean, what did this to him? He's changed I suppose.

Serena: "Why is most of the furniture broken?"

Soryu: "My anger got the best of me awhile ago."

Serena: "I see."

I reply while looking at the floor and looking at some broken letters.

Soryu: "Do you want a book or not?"

(Pushy much.)

Serena: "Yes, please!"

I yell as I turn my gaze to the bookcase. I couldn't hold in my excitement. I haven't really been able to do anything really fun these pass few weeks. At least a book can entertain me for awhile.

Soryu: "The broken?"

Soryu questions my pick. In response I turn around to look over at him, with the book in my right hand.

Serena: "Sounds interesting, have you read it yet?"

Soryu: "I began reading it but stopped after a couple of chapters."

Serena: "Why?"

I asked, curiously. Wondering if it was a bad book I wait for his response.

Soryu: "Reminds me of a few things... That's all."

Serena: "Oh, I see. I guess I won't be getting any spoilers from you."

Soryu: "I guess not."

We both exchange small smiles to each other before we exit his room. When he closes the door he then goes back to where he was sitting. ....On the floor. I then too sit on the floor. I have no idea why but I sat next to him and started reading the book.

- 1 hour later -

(She's pregnant...? But she can't tell him..?)

I said to myself in my thoughts as I continue to read the book. Memories begin to flash by, my skin turns pale while my hands begin to shake. The book slips away from my trembling fingers, falling to the floor with a small thud. Still lost in the memories my eyes widen as I stare at the floor.

Soryu: "What's wrong?"

Soryu's voice snaps me out of my thoughts. He places his hand on my shoulder and tries to turn me to look at him. He was now on my right while a tear slipped on my left side. I didn't allow him to see it as I stood up.

Serena: "Nothing..."

With just saying that simple lie I walk off to the laundry room. I locked myself in there and began to cry. I knew Soryu wouldn't be able to hear me since the noisy machine was on, so I took the opportunity to let my tears fall freely.

~~~~~~~~Flash back~~~~~~~~
I was in the bathroom vomiting into the toilet, my hair was being held by Jenny as I continued. Once I finished I flushed the toilet and walked over to the sink. Jenny turned on the posit and I washed my face and mouth.

Jenny: "Are you sure you're alright?" 

Serena: "Yeah..."

I weakly say as I look up at her.

Jenny: "Serena..?"

Serena: "Mhm?"

Jenny: "Tell me what's going on, I've notice you act differently."

Jenny says in a worried tone as she places her hand on my shoulder.

Serena: "I haven't had my period for two months.."

Jenny: "And you've been have lots of weird cravings lately too...maybe you're-..."

Serena: "No that can't be..."

I cut her off, feeling a bit uneasy. I didn't know what I'd do if I was.

Jenny: "When was the last time you had you know..."

Serena: "A week before the whole incident..."

I answer her question while looking down slightly embarrassed.

Jenny: "We need to check."

She says to me while handing me a pregnancy test, she pulled out of her pocket in her apron. In response I tilt my head.

Serena: "Why did you have that?"

Jenny: "I kinda had a feeling you were pregnant because of how moody you've been and all those cravings."

Serena: "Wow..."

- 5 minutes later -

Jenny: "Do you know what this means?"

Jenny asks me as she holds the test which now revealed the truth.

Serena: "..."

Jenny: "You're going to be a mom!"

Serena: "I-I..can't..."

Jenny: "How does it feel? I've always wanted to have a kid! You're so lucky!"

Serena: "He can't know... No one can know about this..."

I say while looking down. My eyes widen as million scenarios popped in my head.

Jenny: "But Serena-..."

I cut her off by speaking up and asking her a favor.

Serena: "Please don't tell anyone.."

Jenny: "Okay..but you-..."

I then leave with out a second thought. I had to get away from that test, I didn't want to see it. Suddenly I bump into someone.

Kai: "Just the person I was lucky for."

Serena: "What now?"

I ask in an annoyed tone, not really in the mood for anyone right now.

Kai: "There has been reports of a small gang posing as the emerald eyes."

Serena: "Why?"

Kai: "To gain power, worry the weak and to do as they please."

I clench my fist in anger because of what he says. I felt my blood boil. I didn't understand how people could be so cruel.

Serena: "Sounds like they need to be thought a lesson."

Kai: "Indeed."

Serena: "I'll take care of it."

I say as I walk to my room. Once I enter I close the door behind me and lay on my bed. Placing my hand on my stomach I wonder if I would feel it move inside of me. A few minutes pass and I feel nothing.

(You've been there for two months, huh? Is it warm and safe there?)

I thought with a smile as I slightly lift up my shirt to look at my belly. I still have no bump but I knew what was in me. Out of nowhere my room door flies open.

Jenny: "No! You can't!"

I already knew what she was talking about and sighed as I sat up on the side of my bed.

Serena: "Why not?"

Jenny: "Because of the-...!"

I cut her off once again and begin to speak in a reassuring tone to make her feel better.

Serena: "It's fine, I'll make sure not to get hurt."

(I've been keeping her safe for two months now without even knowing it was there. I'm pretty sure I can protect the baby.)

Jenny: "Serena you could lose her."

Serena: "I won't, don't worry. Wait how do you know it's a her and not a him?"

Jenny: "Just a feeling."

Serena: "I see."

I smile at her as I watch her crouch down and place her hand on my stomach. I flinch at the cold touch of her fingers but just look at her.

Jenny: "It's a quiet baby,isn't it?"

Serena: "Thank god it's not a kicker."

Jenny: "I'll help you raise her."

Jenny says to me with a smile.

Serena: "It isn't your responsibility."

Jenny: "I'm her aunt now so I'll be there to help you.

(Aunt? I guess I have a sister now. I've always wanted one.)

~~~~~~End of flashback~~~~~

Tears continue to fall down my face as I wrapped my arms and hands around my stomach. I rested my back on the cold, hard wall. Trying to take a deep breath I choke a bit on my tears.

Serena: "I'm sorry...I wasn't a good mother... I couldn't protect you..."

I whisper lowly while tears continue to fall. Right now I was a crying mess. Gripping onto my stomach, I hung my head low while looking at it. My vision was blurry do to the tears.

Serena: "You could've been someone in life...but I wasn't able to keep you safe.."

I cried and cried. I had no idea of how much time had pass now but I didn't care. Soon the machine had stop because it finished washing the clothes in it. I wiped my tears and stood up, still shaking feeling weak. I grabbed the wet clean clothes and put them in the dryer. I press the button to turn it on but it didn't work.

Sighing I take deep breaths trying to calm myself down. Making sure I have no more tears I open the door and call for Soryu.

Serena: "Soryu!"

Soryu: "What?"

I hear him say from some distance.

Serena: "The dryer isn't working!"

I yell out so he could hear me. He then comes to the laundry room and checks the dryer. I look down not wanting to make any eye contact with him. I knew my eyes were still red and he'd notice I was crying. I felt vulnerable I wouldn't be able to lie to him in my current state. I knew I'd just fall apart.

Soryu: "Done."

Serena: "Thanks."

(Now leave...please...)

Soryu: "No problem, Serena?"

Serena: "Yeah?"

I reply while looking at the floor.

Soryu: "What's wrong?"

Serena: "Nothing."

Soryu: "You're lying, I can tell by your voice."

(He's on to me...)

Serena: "That's not true."

I say defensively in a low tone.

Soryu: "If it isn't then why won't you look at me?"

Serena: "I don't feel like it."

Soryu: "Too bad."

Serena: "No...don't..Soryu!"

He grabs me by my waists and lifts me up. Now holding me up he observed my face.

Soryu: "You were crying..."

Serena: "..."

Soryu: "Tell me why you were crying."

He says while slowly lowering me down. I couldn't hold it in anymore. I felt the tears coming back. Weakly falling onto his chest I let it all out.

Serena: "I-I lost...her...."

Soryu: "Who?"

Serena: "She...didn't have a name..."

Soryu: "How could she not have a name? Serena are you lying to cover something up?"

He kept on asking me. I felt irritated I felt sad I had mixed emotions now. I began to bang my fists onto his chest while crying as I raise my voice.

Serena: "She wasn't born yet! Don't you get it! I wasn't able to give her a name! I wasn't able to hold her in my arms! I wasn't able to feel her move! I lost her!"

I screamed while tears steamed down. I bang his chest a couple more times then grabbed onto his shirt.

Soryu: "..."

Serena: "Because of you! If none of that would've happened I wouldn't have been back into the sick world! I lost her because of you!"

Soryu: "You...were...was I...?"

Sorry begins to say but my expression darkens as I looked down. I turned around and began to take a few steps away when he then grabbed my wrist, stopping me to answer his question.

Serena: "Yes...I was going to be a mother....but you were never going to be her father...I wouldn't have allowed it..."

I say coldly as I yanked my wrist away from his grasp and I walked to my room. I slam the door close then press my back onto it. Slumping down I hug my knees and let out those tears I paused when I spoke to him in anger.

Soryu's P.O.V.

I stood there in the hall way. I felt my chest ache as I heard her say those words. I had no clue she was pregnant...

(How couldn't she not told me this sooner... I had the right to know...I was the father no matter what she says...)

I always imagined her and me...I always imagined us having a child... But never like this... She says she lost her child but she's not the only one... That was my lost too..
