I Need to Pay More Attention
I couldn't lose Kaci a second time...
I followed Scorpiorilla down barren hallways and corridors, his bare feet slapping on the cement floor. My thoughts kept flashing back to the day when I first learned I had a sister, and spent months desperately searching for her. How had she gotten here? The only way to find out was rescue her, but how in the heck am i going to do that?
Scorpiorilla turned at an intersection of corridors, and I walked past it completely oblivious and consumed by my thoughts. When I noticed he wasn't in front of me I had to turn around and retrace my steps until I came back to the intersection.
Glancing around, I felt like slapping myself. How had i been so stupid to miss that he turned!? I had probably lost Kaci again forever in this stupid giant prison.
That's when I heard the scream. Which way had it come from? Left or right? I cursed and sprinted down the right hallway, hoping to get lucky and stumble upon Kaci and whoever screamed.
Turns out I was anything but lucky that day, as I ran straight into a dead end. With my forehead. Rubbing it and cursing some more, I gave the wall a good kick to show it who's boss. It gave not the solid sound of a normal wall, but a metal clang. It was hollow.
How do I get in? That's probably where all my problems will be solved, I'll find Kaci in there, and the way out. Backing up, I ran at the wall and rammed my shoulder into it. No results, except a bruised and aching shoulder.
Backing up all the way to the end of the corridor this time, I was ready to dislocate my shoulder against this thing, but before I could go, something in my peripheral vision caught my eye. Turning my head to focus on the object, I saw it was a hand. One single hand as pale as snow reaching out of what looked like a door.
No, not reaching out of, but reaching through. Whoever this person was, they could stick their arms through solid objects. How convenient right? Walking over to the arm, I tapped on it. The hand immediately clamped down onto mine, and yanked me through the door, onto the floor.
I quickly jumped to my feet, and found myself face to face with a girl as pale as her arm. As I took in her features, I was about to ask her a whole lot of questions when a thought popped into my mind. I had seen her before, but where? Then BAM, the memory hit me in the head like a heavy piece of metal.
Then I realized that I had been hit in the head with a heavy piece of metal when I crumpled to the floor. I fought it, I couldn't lose conscious now, I was so close to Kaci! But, my body didn't think that was as important as getting some sleep, and I blacked out.
Hey guys, sorry I haven't done any chapters in SO LONG, but I've been a little busy with my other works, and it's summer so I don't really spend a lot of time indoors. This is hopefully the first of a lot more chapters to come (finally) please leave me tips and stuff on how to write better, thanks and byeeee!
