Of all the days I could have bumped into him, it had to be today.....

I stood up and dusted myself off rather quickly and speed walked past him and his other cute friends. I did not want him to know it was me under the hood. Dang it!!! I thought as one of Jefferson's friends stopped me. "Who is that under the hood?" He said mockingly, "GASP, is that...JADE MERTON?" His voice was dripping with sarcasm. Keith put his hand on his stupid friends chest. "Hey, cut it out." "I understand if she wanted to hide from a butt like you." I laughed out loud then quickly covered my mouth. Keith turned around then and smiled at me. "Sorry about that, he's just jealous that I have such a hot girl crushing on me. I gasped and my eyes widened. How does he know!? I thought frantically. "Your speechless, that's okay, all the girls are like that around me." He laughed and wiggled his eyebrows at me, then turned to his gang and said "Come on guys, let's go get a bite." He turned his head and looked at me, then winked and walked away with the rest of his pals. He is so hot! I thought, exhaling. I didn't realize I was holding my breath... then it hit me OH MY GOSH!
Keith knows I have a crush on him, and he's chill with it! Is it possible that maybe....he likes me back? Then I shook off the thought and pushed it to the back of my head. No, he does not like me back, why would he have the hots for a girl like.....me? I wheeled myself around on the spot. No, it's time for me to conquer my greatest fear...talking to Keith. Then I sprinted after the small group in the distance and caught up to Keith. I pulled off my hood and ran my fingers through my hair, taking deep breaths. I then approached Jefferson and his buddies. "Hey," I said, blushing like mad, "here's my number, if you want it....umm yeah text me." I stuffed a slip of paper into his fist and walked away, hands in pockets, head bowed. I was ashamed, Keith gave no hint that he actually wanted my number, and I had just... literally smashed it into his fist. Little did I know, that behind my back, Keith's eyebrows were raised and mouth slightly open. He was blushing too as he looked at he crumpled piece of paper in his hand. He pushed the sudden wave of attraction to Jade that was washing over him to the back of his mind. Shaking his head and quietly laughing, he turned back to the guys and walked inside the fast food place they were at.
