Alastors pov

I landed in the human world in a cloud of black smoke. The grass beneath my feet crumbled to dust, further proving that the living world has no place for me. At the very least the fresh air does wonders to my health-

"Hello" I jumped and spun around to see a boy with soft blonde hair and ruby red eyes. He didn't look like any mortal I've ever seen.

"Hello my dear" I gave him a charming smile despite feeling annoyed by the interruption. Can't let him catch on to who I truly am "I didn't even hear you approach me. Have you considered a career in assassination?"

"Of course not. Murder is mean" he pouted. I suppressed a laugh. To think anyone would have such an innocent response. I was about to say something back when-

"Oh no" he bent down to the wilted grass under my feet with teary eyes. He's that upset about dead grass? He held out his hands and the grass grew around my feet, sprouting flowers.

"There, all better" he sighed in relief.

"You're a god" I muttered in disbelief. I knew there was something strange about that boy.

"Oh you didn't know" he looked up in surprise "most mortals know about the god of life. Are you from around here?" He tilted his head curiously.

"No. I'm from the underworld" I said simply.

"The underworld" he gasped "my big brother does work there sometimes. Is it as dark and depressing as he says?" He leaned forward excitedly.

"Oh I wouldn't say that. The underworld has a certain charm to it" my smile twitched. He must be referring to azrael. Annoying little reaper! Suddenly an idea came to me "how about I take you with me?"

"Huh?" He gave me a confused look.

I took his hand with a charming smile "I've been looking for a partner that who'd be suitable for me. I'd say I found just the person" after all he seems easy to manipulate and low maintenance "so let's move in together-"

"A charming offer but I think I'll pass" he pulled away with a nervous smile "but I do hope you find the person for you. You seem like a swell guy" he gave me a friendly punch on the shoulder before trying to fly off. I clicked my fingers, sending a tentacle to pull him down.

"I guess we're doing this the hard way" I threw the boy over my shoulder (which wasn't hard considering his small stature). He kicked and screamed but it amounted to nothing as I teleported back to the underworld.
