Recap: I cleared my throat awkwardly and then repeated my question about the clothes. Sam cleared his throat as well and then motioned to me that I should follow him.

We walked back to his room and he went through his clothes. He handed me a pair of pajama pants and a shirt. 

"Will those work?" 

I looked at them again and nodded. 

"Yeah, these should be good. Since the pants have strings I can just tie it until its tight enough."

"Alright, well, we'll have Cas go get some stuff for you or something." 

I just nodded and Sam went to leave but stopped when he saw I wasn't following. He turned around and looked at me, his face showing confusion and concern. 

"Sky? Are you okay?" 

I bit my lip and nodded slowly. 

"Yeah, but Sam? Can I ask you a question?" 

Despite trying to keep my voice calm and level, the sadness in my voice was prominent. He nodded and then closed the door gently. Grabbing my wrist he led me to the bed where we both sat down.

 "Of course, ask anything you want." 

I nodded and bit my lip again trying not to cry.

"Promise to be honest? You can't sugar coat it either." 

The concern on his face grew, but he nodded anyway. 

"Will I ever be able to see my parents again?" 

Immediately, his face softened into what looked like pity, but also understanding. He took a deep breath and let it out before speaking. 

"Honestly?" 

I quickly nodded. No matter how much it would hurt, I needed the truth. 

"No, Sky, probably not." 

I simply nodded while my eyes filled with tears. 

"Why?" 

I knew why, but I needed to hear it from him. 

"Now that you have these powers there are going to be those who want to use it for themselves, like Crowley. They are going to look for you, find you, and try to kidnap you. If you go back to your house and your parents they will most likely get hurt or be used as leverage. However, if you stay away from them, they most likely won't be." 

I nodded once again, the tears now falling from eyes and I didn't even try to stop them. I would never see my parents again and while it was for there safety, it hurt just as much. 

I felt Sam slowly reach over and wrap his arms around me in a gentle hug to which I welcomed. I rested my head on his shoulder but kept my arms wrapped around myself and cried for the loss of my parents even though they were still alive. 

"Sky, I'm so sorry, but we're your family now. Dean, Cas, and I...we'll protect you and get these powers of yours under control. Whatever you need, we'll get it. And, well, if you ever get tired of us or don't want to stay here, we have a friend who has a couple of others girls your age. She knows about everything and will be able to protect you just as well. You could live there if you wanted." 

I finally wrapped my arms around him and nodded. 

"I...I wanna stay with you and Dean and Cas." 

We continued to sit like that for a few minutes until the last remaining tears stopped falling. We both pulled back and Sam ruffled my hair and gave me a brilliant smile before heading back out to Dean and Cas. 

I sat there for a few more minutes before getting up and heading to my room to change. The pants were too big but I tied the string and managed to get it tight enough that it wouldn't fall off and I rolled the pant legs up so they weren't dragging on the floor. The shirt was more like a dress on me so I stole a hair tie from Sam's room and tied the bottom so it wasn't quite as loose. 

Once that was taken care of, I headed back out into the main area to tell everyone that I was going to go to bed. 

However, when I walked out and into the hallway I could tell immediately that they were talking about me. 

"Is she okay?" asked Dean. 

"Yeah, she just misses her parents is all," Sam replied. 

His voice made a frown come to my face. It sounded sad like he was thinking about his own parents. I guess I should be happy with what I have. At least my parents are alive. 

"Did you tell her that she'll never be able to see them again?" 

It was quiet for a moment until Sam spoke again. 

"Yeah, I did... but..." 

"But what?" 

"I told her she could stay with us if she wanted." 

"WHAT?!" Dean yelled. 

"Shhh, she can probably hear you." 

Dean quieted down but still spoke with anger.

 "We agreed that when she learned to control her powers we would send her out to live with Jody." 

Jody? 

Oh, that must be the woman Sam was talking about earlier. 

"I know, Dean, I know. But we can't just ship her off like that. She's like the little sister we never had." 

Awww, Saaaaam. 

"But she's going to get hurt if she stays with us, everyone does." 

"I know, but she's read the books about us, she knows how this goes and it seems like she doesn't care." 

It was silent again, but Dean sighed. 

"Fine, I guess... it wouldn't really feel right not having her with us." 

The frown on my face grew to a smile as I realize what Dean just said. I can stay!!! I took a deep breath and let it out before I stepped into the room. 

"Hey guys, I'm just gonna get some food and then head to bed. Okay?" 

I looked around and saw Sam and Dean staring at me with shock, but I could see they both had smiles hidden. Cas was just sitting there. I faked confusion at their looks. 

"Ummm, did I interrupt something?" 

They both shook their heads quickly and I went into the kitchen. I started making myself a sandwich while I listened to Sam and Dean whisper to eat other. I couldn't make out what they were saying though. 

Once I was finished I headed back out to the table and set the plate down. I walked over to Dean with a grin on my face and promptly pulled him into a hug. It took a few seconds but he recovered from the shock and wrapped his arms around me as well. 

"Thanks for letting me stay, Dean." 

I pulled back and laughed as I watched his face go from shocked to embarrassed once he realized I had heard that entire conversation. 

I gave Sam and Cas a hug as well before grabbing my plate and heading back to my room. 

As soon as the door closed I heard Sam burst into laughter and Dean yell at him to shut up. 

These guys were my family now. 

Shutting out the light, I climbed into my bed and fell asleep.
