Recap: "I see. From what you've told me, it seems like you have a bit of control over the weather. See if you can make a small rain cloud appear above me."

Steadying my stance, I looked at the area above his head and focused, trying to make a cloud out of thin air. 

A minute later there was still nothing. 

I sighed and loosened my stance. 

"Try remembering what it felt like. Channel those feelings, imagine the cloud and focus. Try imagining the magic building and make it happen." 

I retook my stance and tried again. I imagined the cloud above his head like he said and imagined a small circle of magic power in my stomach swirling and creating the cloud. I closed my eyes and thought of the previous times I had used it. I focused on that feeling for a moment and what felt like a small storm started in my stomach. 

My eyes snapped open and focused on the space above his head. I breathed in and out heavily, already feeling the effects, but continued letting it build up. Once I felt like it would work, I tried releasing it, still imagining a gray cloud. A small dark gray dot appeared above his head and I continued doing what felt right and trying to make it grow, but it only disappeared as fast as it had appeared. 

I loosened up once again, breathing way too heavily for what little I had just done. I plopped down onto the ground already frustrated with myself and crossed my arms. I heard Cas sigh and walk over behind me. 

"You know it's going to take time to learn. Be patient." 

I finally looked around at the surroundings and realized that we were actually on top of a pretty big hill. There were no trees or flowers, in fact, it was cloudy and kind of gloomy, but it didn't affect me at all. I loved this kind of weather. 

Since the hill was pretty big, there was a decent view. I could see for miles but it really wasn't much, just a huge field and a few trees here and there nothing special. 

Finally, Cas spoke again. 

"I'm going back to the bunker. I'll be back. Until then keep working." 

I quickly stood up about to yell at him that he couldn't leave me here, but once I got up he was already gone. 

With my hands on my hips, I looked around once again and realized I had no choice. 

I chose a spot to try to make the cloud and focused once again, this was gonna take a while.

 A few hours later I had managed to make the cloud reach the size of my head, which was technically good progress, but I was so frustrated. How could I make a huge storm after just getting my powers, but now I couldn't even make a decent cloud? 

I paced back and forth a couple of time before throwing my hands up in frustration. Only for lightning to shoot out of my hands and strike a tree at the base of the hill. 

I stared at the tree, now on fire and then back to my hands. After getting over the shock, I threw my hands out again only for nothing to happen. I screamed and sat down. 

"How far have you gotten?" 

I suddenly heard Cas's voice behind me and I jumped up, startled and accidentally hurled a bolt of lightning toward him. 

I shrieked, worried, but he just disappeared and reappeared a couple of feet to the left. I let go of the breath that I had taken in after the shriek and my shoulders slumped. I wiped a small bit of sweat off of my forehead and then told him what I had been able to do. He nodded and then said it was probably time to go back. I nodded pretty exhausted for staring at one place for hours. 

Seconds later we appeared in the library with Sam and Dean. They both got up and came over to me asking how I was. I just told them that I was fine and headed to my room. I was tired, sweaty, dirty, and frustrated. I just wanted a shower and more time alone.
