Unlike usual, I didn't wake up to the sun streaming through my window, instead I woke up to a stinging sensation on my arms. I groaned in slight pain and opened my eyes to see Dean next to me. I was laying on a bed and Dean had pulled a chair up.
"Sorry, I was hoping that you wouldn't wake up," Dean said.
I looked down, still half asleep, to see Dean cleaning some of my wounds, but most of them were gone. Weird.
I yawned and said, "It's okay. Where are we?"
"Oh, right. This is my house. We couldn't really bring you back home with the condition you're in, as well as... other problems."
Oh, yeah, my powers.
My thoughts went back to that week of torture and pain. Tears came to my eyes at the thought.
Dean quickly finished what he was doing, while I was spaced out and then he left to go get me some food.
With him gone I went even deeper into my thoughts. So deep, I didn't even notice when Dean came back and opened the door.
When he started to speak, it scared me and I jumped throwing my hands up in defense. He slammed into the wall and was stuck there.
My thoughts were too deep in all of the torture to realize what I was doing. That I was hurting one of the people that just saved me.
"Snap out of it, Sky! It's me, Dean!"
I continued to hold Dean up against the wall when I heard footsteps running through the halls. The door slammed open and Sam entered holding a gun in front of him. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Sam lower the gun and raise his arms with his hands in front of him.
"Sky, let him go. He's not doing anything to hurt you. Just let him go."
Sam's gentle and worried voice quickly snapped me out of my thoughts and Dean fell from the wall. I stared at Dean for a few seconds as he rubbed the back of his head.
Tears came to my eyes as Sam asked him if he was okay. I felt my hands shake at the thought of what I had just done.
I had hurt Dean.
"I-I'm so sorry."
I took off running through their house, just to get away from them, ashamed of what I had done.
I was searching for the door to get outside but was failed miserably. Instead, I ended up in the garage.
I saw the Impala sitting there as well as other cars and a small door that would take me outside, but I stopped right before it.
I couldn't leave.
Sure, I hurt Dean, but I couldn't go back home like this.
I was a monster now, I would end up hurting someone else. It was too risky.
With a sad sigh, I turned around and started heading back towards the door but stopped once again.
I still couldn't go back to Sam and Dean not after what I did.
I looked around the room before deciding to just sit in the Impala. It would take awhile for them to find me, if they even wanted to.
I ran my hand from the front all the way to the handle of the back door and opened it. I slid in, almost hitting my head, and shut the door lightly. The last I needed was to slam the door open and have Sam and Dean find me so quickly.
Now sitting in the comfy leather seat, I couldn't help but replay the moments that led up to this. The loud thud that Dean made when he hit the wall and the way Sam looked at me with pity were the things most prominent. Sam almost looked like he knew what I was going through but that couldn't be possible. Sure he had that whole thing with the demon blood, but this was different.
I closed my eyes and leaned my head against the window, only making the images come easier. I had to embrace who I was now, a freak.
A tear slipped through my closed eyes and it paved the way for more. It wasn't long until I was full on sobbing. I pulled my knees up onto the seat and buried my face in them, trying to lessen the sound.
It didn't work though because not soon after I heard the door on the other side being opened and the weight of someone sitting down next to me. I looked up expecting it to be Sam wanting to reprimand me for what I had done, but instead, it was Dean sitting next to me. Dean started reaching towards me but I pushed him away, not wanting to hurt him again.
"I-I'm so sorry, Dean," I apologize once again for hurting him.
I looked away from him as if I could hurt him just by looking at him.
"Look at me, Sky."
I kept still not moving a muscle, still thinking that I hurt him and he hated me.
"Sky."
I finally looked up at him, hearing the serious note in his voice. He placed his hands on my cheeks and wiped away my tears.
"Hey, look. You didn't hurt me, Sky. I'm fine."
I looked at him for a little before deciding that he didn't look any different. I looked back into his eyes to see a sad tint in them.
Suddenly I was being pulled into Dean's arms and he set his chin on my head. One arm was around me and the other was on the back of my head.
"I'm sorry, Sky. We will help you, okay? I know someone who might be able to help."
I nodded against Dean's chest. I really hoped someone could help me.
Before I knew it, both Dean and I fell asleep.
