Every day from then on, Cas would take me to that same field and try to teach me how to control my powers. I got better and better at it until I could create a full storm at will, throw lighting whenever I wanted, and move any object.
The first wasn't really helpful, the second one would only be helpful in a fight, but the third, moving any object, was amazing. I no longer had to get up to get something. If it was in view I just had to move it over to me. It was making me really lazy.
However, it was also a great tool for messing with Sam and Dean. Cas wasn't really fun to mess with like Sam and Dean were. With Cas, I just tried to make him confused, which wasn't very hard and it was just as funny.
I didn't really mess with Sam that much because when he had enough he would just leave and it made me feel bad every time.
Dean, however, was the best. If he was fixing Baby I would throw the next tool across the room so he would have to go get it. If I was feeling extra mischievous, I would keep moving it as soon as he reached for it.
When we were sitting at a table and he had a beer, I would move it right when he went to reach for it. It was funniest when he wasn't looking because he would look away from whatever had his attention and then look at the spot where is beer was confused.
Until, of course, he realized I had just moved it.
Then he would yell, and depending on how angry he was swear, at me. It was really fun messing with him.
However, it wasn't all fun and games.
I really didn't have to work on my powers anymore, we hadn't discovered anything new and I already mastered the ones I had, so I was pretty much just sitting around the house.
During all of my training, Sam and Dean continued to go on hunts and save people, leaving me in the hands of Cas, which was pretty cool but could get boring sometimes.
Now that I could only sit around the house and watch TV or something life was getting boring.
I wanted to go with Sam and Dean on a case.
So, when they came home from their latest case and started looking for another one, I brought it up to Sam, knowing he would be more open to it.
He was in the library on his laptop and Dean was currently, well who knows where he was, the point is Sam was alone. I walked in and sat next to Sam.
"Hey, Sam, looking for the next case?"
"Yeah, I'm actually having a hard time finding anything."
I laughed still wondering how I was going to bring it up to Sam.
"Maybe it's a sign that you should take a break and hang out with me here for a bit."
Sam looked over at me and immediately turned away once he saw I was using my puppy dog eyes and sighed.
"Sky, you know we can't take a break. There's always some monster that needs taken care of or a person that needs saving."
I sighed as well, fiddling with some books that were setting on the table.
"I know, Sam, I know. But, I'm just so bored. Now that I've got control of my powers, I don't have anything to do besides sit here. I need something to do."
"I know Sky. When my dad and Dean used to go on hunts, I was left at whatever motel we were staying in all by myself with nothing to. There's not really anything I can do. It's not like we can take you on a hunt with us."
Bingo! My opening.
"Well.......why not?"
He sighed again.
"Sky, you know why. It's too dangerous for you. If you get hurt..."
"If I get hurt Cas can heal me!"
"But what if he's not there?"
"Why wouldn't he be?"
I could tell he was beginning to get frustrated so I stopped being sarcastic and started trying to be level with him.
"Listen, Sam, I could really help you guys out there."
"By doing what, Sky? Throwing lightning at everything that comes your way?"
I could feel the blush rising into my cheeks.
"Well just burning everyone's eyes seems to work for Cas, why can't throwing lightning? Also, if you get into a situation where your weapon is thrown across the room I can send it back to you. And don't act like that doesn't happen. Maybe for the first couple of hunts, I can just stay in the car or something until I learn some things. You can teach me some self-defense in case I need it. What do you say?"
It was quiet for a few minutes as he thought. My hopes were slowly rising as it seemed like he was seriously considering it. Finally, he turned back to me.
"Okay," he said, "even if I think you could come along, which doesn't mean I do, what about Dean?"
I immediately straightened up out of excitement. That totally meant that he thought I could do it!
"You can just talk to him! Reason with him! He'll listen to you, you always get him to do stuff he doesn't want!"
He laughed and shook his head at that last statement.
"You know, the fact that you read those books about us is starting to get creepy. But I'll talk to him, okay?"
"You will?"
As soon as he nodded I jumped out of my seat and tackled him in a hug shouting thank you over and over again.
"Okay, okay, but I can't promise you anything."
I finally pulled back and Sam smiled at me before ruffling my hair. I glared at him and went to fix it when we heard the door open and close. I smiled at Sam, now making my way out of the library.
"I'll be in my room."
