Chapter One: A lot Lot Can Happen in Four Months
Clairissa's POV
(Chapter by RainbowowAlli
Welcome to hell," was the first thing I heard when I was conscious enough to hear anything at all.
The throbbing in my head would not allow me to sit up, but my vision had started to clear.
"Where am I?" I asked groggily. I gained enough strength to sit up. My vision was still blurry but I was able to make out the general layout of where I was. It was dark but still light at the same time and I could make out two foggy silhouettes.
One of them was off to my right and the other was off to my left. The one right rightmost spoke. It sounded like the voice that had spoken to me the first time, but do to my clouded brain it was hard to be certain. "No one knows and no one will ever leave."
"Is this on your authority?" I asked bitterly.
"No. It's on his authority, it always is."
"May I ask who he is and why he brought me here?" I stated more so than asked.
The girl walked out from the corner and into the small light that hung above the prison, looking place we were in. "I don't know who he is, all I know is he took us and he's not planning on giving us back. Ever."
The girl had messy brown hair and looked like she hadn't eaten in days. Her eyes looked cold and sad. I suddenly realized my chances of escaping were slim.
"I see," I said insightfully, though I had no clue exactly whom she was referring to or what the situation ment.
"Ignore Ruby. She is just a bit crazed, she's been awake the longest," The second shadowed silhouette said.
I slowly approached her and was met with familiar green eyes and blond hair. "You were in one of my classes, yes?"
"Yes, your Science class. My name is Kenzie."
"Kenzie," I started," what do you mean Ruby has been awake the longest?"
"You were out cold for over forty-eight hours," Kenzie told me. "Ruby has been awake for forty-six hours, she was only knocked out for two, and I have been awake a little under thirty-two."
"How did you get those numbers?" I asked she surely couldn't have done all of that in her head.
"I still have my phone, but I have no bars so It's practically useless."
"Ruby must have slept some right?" I asked doubtfully. It sure didn't look like Ruby had seen any sleep.
Kenzie shook her head.
"Have you guys had any food yet?" I asked.
"No, the guy keeping us here only met Ruby once and he didn't bring her food."
"You know I'm right here. I can hear everything you're saying!" Ruby exclaimed.
"Right," I said steeling a glance at Kenzie who just shrugged. "Ruby, why don't you get some sleep. We'll talk later."
"I can't sleep," she said. "I should have killed myself when I had the chance."
I woke up in a cold sweat. I hated dreaming memories. This was the dark part of my life I hid from everyone. My family, my friends(besides Ruby and Kenzie), even the freaking police.
My boyfriend was starting to worry about me. You need to stick with the plan, I told myself.
I knew I wouldn't find myself going back to sleep, so I Skypped Kenzie and Ruby. They knew about the tough crap we were going through. They would understand because of our shared past that left us scarred.
"Hey Grills!" Ruby said joining the Skype. Ruby had little trouble settling back into her old life, but Ken and I would never forget who she was back in that place no matter how many 'I'm fine's' she threw around.
"Could you keep quiet, Ru?" Ken asked. Kenzie had had the most trouble settling into her old life than Ruby and much more than I had. She broke up with her boyfriend and though we, including her boyfriend, were all begging her to get back with him she was still undecided.
I took a deep breath and waited for their bickering to halt. "Ken, Ru, I don't think our plan is working."
