Chapter One
It was the morning after my fourteenth birthday and I was ecstatic. I have never been one to like school, but the thought of seeing my friends was what helped me out of bed every morning.
Turning my alarm clock off, I pulled the covers back and stepped into the freezing morning air. Quickly walking over to my dresser, I opened the drawers and began looking for an outfit.
Taking my pajama pants and shirt off, I swiftly threw on the jeans and white t-shirt. Grabbing my coat off the chair, I threw open the door and ran down the stairs.
"Good morning mom!" I sang, sitting at the table. My mom approached me with pancakes, the breakfast she always made me for school after my birthday.
"What has gotten you in such a cheery mood Bella?" She asked, quite suspicious of my overly joyful behavior.
"Just excited to see my friends. I feel like it's been forever," I explained, stuffing my face with pancake.
I walked up to my mother and kissed her cheek, putting my dish in the sink at the same time, "Goodbye, love you!"
"Have a great day Bella! I love you!" she yelled after me as I grabbed my heavy backpack and exited the house.
The chilly morning air hit me as I made my way down our driveway and towards the direction of my high school.
This morning feels way colder than the last have been, I thought, but shrugged it off. It's probably because I'm wearing a t-shirt.
The breeze traveled through my long curls and dragged them behind me. I pulled my coat closer to my body as an especially strong wind came.
When the wind settled back into a calm breeze, I took a look around my neighborhood. We moved here a few years ago, but I still didn't know all my neighbors. That was something I would have to work on.
I was about to turn when something caught my eye. A car parked down the street half submerged in snow. Had it snowed last night? Glancing around, I realized that this was the only vehicle that was snowed in.
Assuming the car hadn't moved in a while, I turned the corner and continued my walk. The nagging feeling I felt had me on edge, but I didn't know what I was looking out for.
Halfway through my journey to school I began to feel like someone was watching me. I looked around, but nothing was there. No matter how much I tried to brush the feeling off, I couldn't get rid of the suspicion that I was being followed.
As the feeling worsened, I look a second glance around. Nothing was suspicious about anything around me.
I turned once more onto a busy road, hoping that all the cars would stop anything bad from happening to me. I couldn't help but be suspicious.
I watched as an assortment of cars passed me. Big or small, red, black, or white, I was watching each of them pass.
I had never liked the smell of gasoline, but now it felt like it was taunting me No matter where I was, all I was breathing in was gasoline, and the noise from the passing vehicles pounded in my skull.
The wind threw dead leaves at my feet and the crunching of each one I stepped over sent a chill down my spine. Everything seemed ominous at this point, my subconscious warning me of something I was clueless to.
I took out my phone and checked the time, the three numbers and the date seemed daunting. I had about thirteen minutes to get to school and get in class, and I had no idea how long it would take me from this new way.
Entering my passcode, I opened google maps and typed in the school's name. A few seconds later, the path appeared. This one would take six minutes to arrive to school
I followed the directions, glancing up from my phone every few seconds to see where I was going. I turned off the road I was on and onto a quieter one.
Looking around, I was instantly suspicious of the silence that fell over the whole block. It was as if these streets were abandoned. The only sounds were coming from my feet hitting the pavement and the sound of cars driving by from the street I was just on.
I opened a new tab and had the police's number ready to call. I couldn't be too cautious right now.

Ok, so for everyone who has read this story before, this is a huge change. And yes, I know, but that's kinda the point. I didn't like it and that was past me, so think of this as an improvement of past me.
I mean, that was a year ago, my writing style and abilities have definitely changed a lot. I mean, in the original version I would only be three paragraphs in and I completely changed how she was abducted.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy the story, tell me any advice or errors you find, and ya!
