CHAPTER 8

It was past twelve in the afternoon. The meeting was over and the enthusiasm of the chatters of the employees and the subtle hustle and bustle filled the meeting room. It was lunch break and everyone was ready to clog the canteen and get a hearty meal, as they needed to work for a good more hours after. The CEO had left long back, along with all the other important people, and hence the employees were at the liberty to talk without any restrictions.

"Sir, there is someone outside and he insists on meeting you."

The man at the desk looked up at his P.A from his paper works at the table, slightly creasing his eyebrows in question.

"No one is supposed to come right now," he replied, looking at the man in front of him, expecting a reply, "Who is it?"

"The man didn't say anything to me, Sir," replied the P.A in all honesty, "He just said he wants to meet you."

The man at the desk leaned backwards into his luxurious chair, twirling his pen in between his long fingers, still looking a bit confused. After a good few minutes of battling his thoughts of whether to let the anonymous person in or not, he finally looked up at his P.A.

"Alright, let him in," he ordered, as his P.A bowed and with a 'yes sir', he left. The man had settled his papers and put them neatly to one side, clearing the area in the centre. He fixed his expensive suit a bit and looked up at the door in anticipation and also with confusion. But as soon as the visitor walked in, his froze.

The anonymous man was a handsome guy, primly attired in a white shirt with a black coat over it and black jeans. His hair was neatly combed and his face shone, mainly with a small smile that lingered at the corner of his lips. So sweet were his expression and so calm was his presence that the only thing the seated man could hear was the insane throbbing of his own heart.

His breath hitched.

Never in his wildest dreams had he expected-

The boy in stood in front of him, a subtle expression of a hint of confusion in his features, as he bowed to the seated man and took a seat in front of him. His composure was calm, yet his eyes couldn't lie, as they were scurrying around the room in eagerness, trying to hide something within them. The man had taken a note of this, but merely thought that he might have taken a fancy at the amazing design or the flawlessness in the cleanliness of his office room.

"Um- Mr. Choi," The boy spoke, his voice so sweet to the man sitting opposite of him, "Nice to meet you. I am-"

"Wooyoung," said Mr. Choi calmly, watching how the expressions of the named boy instantly changed from calmness to quick confusion and slight horror.

"H-How did you know me?" faltered Wooyoung, not quite realising the fact. Has he ever seen me before?

"I-" Mr. Choi paused, and then spoke again, "I've seen you before," he said, skillfully maintaining is calm demeanor, "Someone told me your name and so I happen to know it."

For some reason, he got this feeling that, the more he'll say, the more it will give Wooyoung the opportunity to ask questions, which he didn't want. Even though the boy in front of him looked interesting in several angles, he didn't have time to invest in idle talk. He decided to change the topic.

"So, what brings you here today?"

Wooyoung had numerous questions in his head but chose to ignore them as he wanted to start executing his plan as soon as possible.

Wooyoung had his head a little down, his gaze fixed at the table. He slowly raised his head to speak, but as soon as his eyes met the man's, he stopped.

There was a long pause and neither of them dared to break the heavy air of silence between them. The CEO's eyes were gazing right into Wooyoung's ones, staring deep into his pupils. The gaze was so strong and powerful, yet so deep and warm that Wooyoung couldn't avert his sight. He could feel his cheeks heating up with the obvious tinge of pink slowly spreading across his cheeks, nose and ears, his toes curling inside his shoes and his fingers fidgeting on his lap.

What-What is he doing to me? You haven't come here for this, Woo!

Wooyoung couldn't help but gaze back at the man, scanning his features as well. He was handsome and there was no denial at that. His eyes were sharp and serious, and each feature of his face were detailed and flawless. The personality he carried and the demeanor he was surrounded with, the air of command, dominance and seriousness, yet a subtle calmness and a weird feeling of comfort made Wooyoung shiver a little and even though they hadn't start their conversation yet, Wooyoung already felt weak.

I've come here for a purpose, and I'll have to according to my plan. Get your shits together, Woo.

"Um- you're-you're staring- Sir," Wooyoung managed to say, pretending to be nonchalant yet getting too obviously flustered.

"Oh- huh? Huh- yeah-" the other man faltered out, snapping back to the real world, blinking his eyes vigorously and pretending to act as normal as possible, "I- um- sorry. It's- uhh- never mind." Wooyoung couldn't but smile a little at his confused self.

"So, back to the question," spoke Mr Choi, pulling himself together, the palour of seriousness once again in his features, "Why are you here?"

Wooyoung paused.

This man knows my name. What if he knows my background too? But no! No one knows what father is behind their backs, right? He's a good person in the society's eye. Mr. Choi wouldn't judge me even if he knows my background.

"I am Wooyoung, as you already know," Wooyoung spoke, a little smile glistening on his lips, "And it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm the manager of my company JUNG CORP. and I would like my company to collaborate with yours and work together since..."

Wooyoung continued his explanation, smiling and looking cheerful, giving demonstrations and every necessary information. The other man just listened to him, nodding and giving short replies, spending half of the time secretly stealing glances at the boy's beauty in between flipping pages or the talks.

But in the back of his mind, Mr Choi was already thinking something else.

"So, if you are ready, can-"

"Sure. I agree to this, Mr. Jung," Mr. Choi said immediately, making Wooyoung really confused, "Let's go according to your idea. I'll be glad to work with your team."

What? He agreed so easily?

Wooyoung couldn't say something back, too confused at the instant agreement, yet chose to simply nod his head.  He stood up and so did the other guy. Both of them extended their hands to shake, and as soon their hands touched, Wooyoung could feel sparks cascading through his veins. The touch of Mr Choi's cold skin against his own was too tempting and before he could loose himself, he quickly ended the handshake and got busy fixing the buttons of his coat.

"Hope we meet soon, Mr. Jung," Mr Choi said, looking at the man in front of him with a smile.

"Call me Wooyoung, Sir-"

"Then call me San."

"Uh-" Wooyoung hesitated for a moment, still playing with the buttons, "Y-Yeah- San- we'll meet soon."

With that, he gave a small bow and went out of the door, leaving behind a man with thousands of emotions gurgling inside him.

As soon as Wooyoung came out of the building, he flipped out his phone from his pocket and quickly rang a number.

"I've cleared the first step, Yun. Report it to father. I'll be up with the second one. Keep everything ready."

Wooyoung couldn't help but feel a little odd after cutting the call. His heart was still beating fast and his thoughts went unintentionally flying back into one of the topmost rooms of the skyscraper, to the occupant of the room. His heart gave a little jolt as he thought how the man didn't know anything he was about to do.

He thought again.

Why him? Out of all people.

Little did he know...

-----------------

Anything you guys predict?

Do you think...Woo knew San before?

Or maybe he's just hinting on something else?

What do ya'll think?
