The fifth-grade boy down the street from me reads at a ninth-grade level so today I gave him a spare copy of my book. A fourth-grade boy I babysit was out playing and saw the exchange happen, and ran over.
"I have that book!" (His family pre-ordered it.) "I'm halfway done. I'm still in the middle. I like your book." He turned to the other boy now, still jabbering. "There probably will be lots of hard words you don't understand because I don't, either."
I thought it was the cutest thing.
