In my other book I talked about my one little girl who is so smart and advanced. She always tries to keep the order for me. I wouldn't really call her bossy, she's just so advanced she tries to call everything into order because she wants to get on with things.

Her S's come out mushy, like an sh sound. She's always shouting out, "Sit!" when the kids hop up and get distracted. But yes, there's an H in there. And she says it impressively loudly.

Also, I always tell kids "no, sir," or "no, ma'am," if they're doing something they're not supposed to do. I don't know why. It just comes out of my mouth like that. The kids copy a lot of what I say but none of them had copied that specifically until today.

There's a boy named Sam and the advanced little girl is always particularly trying to keep him in line because he's a little troublesome. There's a lot of, "No, Sham!" yelled out throughout the day.

Today he went into the bathroom and everyone knows you're not supposed to go in there without me, and the little girl chased him and yelled, "SHAM! No, ma'am!"

And finally, in the 6–12 month old room down the hall there's this baby I'm obsessed with so I went in there today to say hi to her and this small exchange happened.

Me: *looks at one baby boy who is long-limbed and slim, and just blurts out this observation* He looks so tall. Especially since everyone else in here is like little balls of dough.

Their teacher: *literally chokes*
