Most of the kids bring a stuffed animal for naptime. There's this girl we'll call A who is obsessed with Minnie. She always brings a classic Minnie Mouse stuffed animal.

One day recently this boy we'll call D, who always brings a different stuffed animal, brought a Christmas Minnie Mouse. It was intense love at first sight for A. As soon as D's back was turned she had stolen his Minnie and had it as well as her own, walking around with both of them. When D noticed he naturally got upset.

Me: You have to give it back to him. Would you like it if he took your Minnie?

A: Yes, sure! *holds out her boring classic Minnie to D, offering a trade*

Me *inwardly laughing*: You can't do that, he loves his Minnie and he wants her.

*I got the Minnie's situated and then A was in this big huff towards me*

Me: Look, you have your own Minnie. You love her.

A: NO I DON'T. *flings Minnie at my face*

Me, having been bitten and/or slapped multiple times today already: Okay fine, you don't want her. *puts Minnie in A's cubby*

A: *completely falls apart* I WANT HER!
