I adjust the skirt I'm wearing. I'm not quite comfortable in a dress, so I just threw on a black two-piece my mom had bought last month. Isn't it too much? Aaargh! I am officially nervous, going out my head, becoming bonkers. How can it be so difficult? I've already kissed him.

Because it's been 8 months ago and it's your first date since- I don't let the little voice in my head finish that sentence. I don't need a reminder. I need to focus on Bucky.

I sigh. Well, my outfit won't get better if I keep fidgeting on it. I quickly check my make-up before heading out my room. My heels click against the tile floor as I enter the living room. There's an orange glow thanks to the sunset as my eyes wander to the person standing close to the window.

Oh, good gracious.

I never thought that I would get weak knees, but damn, this view definitely gave me those. The royal blue shirt he's wearing looks like it's going to be ripped any minute. So tight it looks. And his hair is in a small bun. Oh, god. He just looks so handsome in general.

"Wow, Addison." He speaks up, approaching me, "You look insanely beautiful."

He lightly pecks my cheek as I try to find my voice. My heart is beating so fast, it's insane.

"Well, you don't look bad yourself." I finally say, "I mean, wow."

He smirks, and I feel my blood travel to my cheeks. He puts his hand out for me to take, and I do so. He leads me to the balcony, where a beautifully decorated table is standing with candles around.

"This looks amazing, Bucky." I smile at him, "You've really outdone yourself."

He scratches his neck, "I asked T'Challa to help me though. It's been a long time since I've dated."

"Yeah, like the 1940s, right?"

He laughs as he pulls a chair back for me to sit, "Oh the golden years."

"Was it?" I smile as he sits down as well, "Did you go out a lot?"

"Mostly on double dates with Steve. The poor kid couldn't get a date on his own."

"Times have changed dramatically."

"They sure have. I still have to figure out a few modern things."

I laugh while he joins me. The nervous feeling decreases simultaneously as the conversation progresses.

"How does your new arm feel like?" I ask him over grilled salmon.

"It's amazing." He answers, "It's better than the one HYDRA gave me, so that's something to be glad for. I feel so much more with it."

"That's because there are several billion artificial nerves running through it. It makes it almost real."

"But the star disappeared..."

"The red HYDRA-star?" He nods, "Do you want it back on there?"

"It's part of my past." He shrugs.

I smile at him, "I'll ask Azusa to add it tomorrow."

His grin widens as he returns to his food.

One of the King's servants clean the table after dessert, indicating the end of the whole dinner. But the night for Bucky and I isn't over yet.

He helps me standing up from the chair, and my head feels lighter than before. He supports me as he leads me to the banister of the balcony, letting me lean onto it as I stare to the illuminated trees in front of me. They're barely visible, although the stars reflect much light.

"We don't have a sky like this in New York." I speak up, and somehow there's sadness braided in my voice.

It's spectacular, the view of the stars and milky ways. You can almost see everything with the bare eye.

"We used to." Bucky says, his voice closer than I thought.

I turn my head towards him. He's taken the same position as I have, with his elbows leaning onto the banister.

"There was a place down in Brooklyn where Steve and I always went to gaze at the stars. It helped him move on from his mother's death."

"Would you still go there if you had the chance?"

"I would, but it's gone. They built an apartment building there instead."

The silence comes back as I lean my back against the banister. I glance over to Bucky only to find him already staring at me. I smile at him as my heartbeat picks up. Never in my entire life have I felt like this.

Not even with-?

No.

"Hey, Addy... Can I kiss you?" Bucky suddenly asks, making me snort, "That wasn't supposed to be funny."

His aura quickly changes to something more disappointed as I put my hand on his metal arm, knowing pretty well he could completely feel it.

"I'm sorry." I grin as he looks back at me, "It's something guys nowadays would never ask. But yes, you can kiss me." I whisper in his ear, "Whenever you want."

I pull back a little bit while continuing to stare at him. We're only a few inches apart, and I could feel the tension building between us.

He places his right hand on my cheek to pull me closer. He closes his eyes and I follow suit, only to be surprised by his tender lips covering mine. I wrap my arms around his torso, but his metal arm stays next to him.

Without breaking the kiss, I tenderly take his metal hand in mine and place it on my other cheek. I feel him hesitate, but soon giving in as I deepen the kiss for a second just to let him know that everything was all right.

And it'll stay like this.
