Awaaj Channel :

Nandini was working on her laptop calmly as she had loads of pending work to complete..She was totally engrossed in her work when suddenly the landline rang..

Nandini : "hello!.."..she answered the call still working on her laptop..

"NANDDIIINNII"...the voice was so scary that Nandini felt a shiver ran down her spines..

Nandini : "kaun hai?.."..she asked being terrified..and next she heard the evillest laugh ..which shook her to the core..and in fear she dropped the fun..and ran out of her cabin..

She was running in the channel office and whole staff was shocked to see her in that state..suddenly she collided with someone and was about to meet the floor..but that person held her back...

"Nandini..kya hua tumhe?.."...that person asked being concerned ..when she raised her face ..she found MANIK MALHOTRA ..

Nandini : "Manik.."...she said in utmost fear and she hugged him tightly ..he was really concerned for her..she was badly shivering in his arms and he wasn't understanding anything..till now whole crowd of office came out and was witnessing all this ..

"Nandini ma'am ko kya hua ?.."... "han! itna dari hui kyu hai woh?.."... people started gossiping and manik heard all this..he hugged her more tightly..and with his eyes he asked all to DISPERSE..and everyone went back to their seats ..

Manik : "Pari..shhh! calm down mai aa gaya na..relax.."...he said in his calm voice ..but she clenched his shirt from back ...in galore of fear..

Nandini : "maniikk..woohhh...aawwaajj..."...she was stammering very badly ...and manik asked her to keep quiet ..he then scooped her up in his arms..and took her straight to her cabin..

Nandini's Cabin :

Manik made Nandini sit on the couch..but still she was shivering..she was in bad sweat..and Manik made her drink water..he sat down beside her and held her hand tightly...

Manik : "kya hua pari?.."..he asked very calmly and she placed her head on his shoulder..and he hugged her side ways..but she held his hand tightly..

Nandini : "woh awaaj manik..woh call.."...she said in fear still that horrifying voice was echoing in her ears..and he hugged her more tightly..

Manik : "kaunsa call princess?.."...he was very calm ..as he knows she is very vulnerable at this moment..and he has to be patient with her..

Nandini thought what to tell him..as she has nothing to tell..she so wanted to tell about all those weird things but she wasn't able to give words to her feelings..

Nandini : "Manik..mujhe bahut dar lag raha hai..pata nahi kyu esa lag raha hai ki kuch bahut galat hone wala hai.."...she said in utmost fear and he hugged her more tightly in his protective embrace..

Manik : "kuch bura nahi hoga..you trust me right?.."...he asked while stroking her hairs..

Nandini : "hmmm..",...she just hmm'ed as she was totally lost somewhere...

Manik : "toh bas...sab bhul jao..mai kuch galat nahi hone dunga .."...after giving her assurance that nothing will go wrong...she snuggled more closer to him..

After a very long time...

Nandini was still in his arms..and he was very lovingly stroking her hairs..she was playing with his fingers..and he was listening her silence...

Nandini : "tum wapas kyu aaye the?..'..she asked while playing with his fingers ...

Manik now start recalling for what he came back..

Manik : "mai yaha tumhe mera ateet batane aaya tha Nandini..but is waqt tumhe kuch bhi batana sahi nahi hoga..tum pehle he kaafi pareshan ho.."...he said in his mind..

Nandini : "kya hua manik??"... She asked turning her face to him as he was all silent..

Manik : " are ..nothing..I just came to check on you..bas or kuch nhi.."..he very calmly lied to her..and she saw something in his eyes..

She very sweetly placed her hand on his cheek..and asked looking straight in his eyes..

Nandini : "tum kuch chupa rahe ho na??".. She asked with so much innocence that manik was really speechless..he was in dilemma ..what to answer her..he had nothing to say but still loads to tell..

Just then ..they heard the knock on the door..and both sat down straight on the couch..composing themselves and Nandini asked the person to come in..

Nandini : " yes..come in.."..she said in a very formal tone and the person came in.. And the person was none other than Nandini's P.A .. Ayesha..

Ayesha : "ma'am apka show on air hone mei sirf 5 minutes hai..aap aa rahi hai na?".. She asked very calmly and Nandini now recalled that she has a very important show to host..

Nandini : " Han..ayesha ..mai aa rahi hoon..make all the headlines ready ..mai aati hoon.."..after Nandini's confirmation ..ayesha went out for further amendments ...

Manik : "jaana jaroori hai??".. He asked holding her hand and she smiled..

Nandini : " jaruri nahi hota ..toh mai kabhi nhi jaati .."..she answered back with a smile ..placing her hand on their joined one..

Manik then planted a kiss on her forehead and she closed her eyes in anticipation..

Manik : "take care..".. He said in a very caring tone then she felt like kissing him right there..but she has to go..so she simply nodded her head ...

Nandini : " mai aati hoon.."..after saying that she went to the door..but stopped at the gate and turned around ..only to find a smiling face of manik..

Nandini : "kyu esa lag raha hai..jese mai tumse bahut door ja rahi hoon..I can't live without you manik..I just can't..".. She thought to herself ..emotionally looking at him..and he gave a confusing look..he stood up and with his eyes asked " what?"..but she smiled and waved ..on which he too requited ..

After that Nandini left the cabin.. And manik was all alone in the area..he recalled how Nandini landed up in his arms..totally frightened..

Manik : "ho kya raha hai yeh sab??..kuch samjh nhi aa raha ..pari ka baar baar is tarah darna..yeh bilkul bhi normal nhi hai..".. He said in worried manner and start looking here n there..just then his eyes fell on the landline..

He recalled how Nandini said to him about some random call..so he walked towards the landline ..and start checking the call history..and the number which flashed on the caller id ..made him scared to hell..he instantly threw away the landline and moved back with a jerk..

Manik : " yeh..yeh number..yeh..nahi..yeh nahi ho sakta.. "...he said in horrifying tone ..he was badly in sweat ...and closed his eyes..just when he closed his eyes ..a evil soul appeared ..and was smiling looking at that condition of manik..

" itne mei he dar gaye Manik Malhotra..khel toh bas shuru hua hai..Ab Jo hoga na manik usse tumhari rooh tak kaap (shiver) jaegi.."...she said in her horrifying tone and start laughing evilly..

While manik start drowning in his past..a past which was a curse..a past which is responsible for his frightening present ...

(PAST )

Manik was driving ..he was getting late for the recording .. fab-4 already reached Pune ..he was left alone because he has a business meeting to attend..so now he is driving alone for Pune..

But in the mid of isolated street ..his car stopped with a jolt..

Manik : "damn..ise bhi abhi kharab hona tha..".. He said after punching his fist on the steering wheel..

He came out and the white fog was all over spread on the road..he at first was hell shocked as it was a quiet summer's afternoon then how can fog be present there..but he ignored such a strange scenario..he then opened the bonnet and start looking for the cause ..

Just then he heard a sound of car ..approaching towards him..so he thought to take lift as he was already late..he showed his hand to the car to stop..and as soon as the car stopped..the owner rolled down the window ..and manik was shocked to see the owner..it was the same girl whom he met 1 week ago in the cafeteria ..SOHA KHURANA..

Soha : " aap yahan??..kuch help chahiye.."..she asked looking straight in his eyes and he was totally lost in them..

Manik : "can you give me lift?".. He asked still lost in her spell...on which she smiled and asked him to join her in..

Manik sat down inside the car..and she drove away..he felt the temperature of car very low..which was so unlike..

Manik : " its so abnormally cold..koi itne cold temperature mei kese reh sakta hai.."..he thought and she smiled..as If she heard him..

Soha : "its good to be in cold..".. She answered and he was hell shocked ..as how can she read his mind..

Manik : " did you heard me?"..he asked still in shock..now she looked at him..and he was in captivate of her those dark black Kajal filled eyes...

Soha : "I can hear your silence too..apki or meri manzil ek he hai..toh raste alag kyu ho..".. She said looking straight In his eyes and he was lost ..he so wanted to come out of that trance but his mind was totally in captivate of her..

Then she moved her gaze off him..which broke down his trance ..and he came back to reality..

Manik : " jab bhi iski ankhon mei dekhta hoon..mujhe ho kya jata hai?"..he thought to himself on which she smiled evilly..

Soha : "kuch swalon ke jawab nhi dhundne chahiye..kyunki kuch jawab khud mei he sawal hote hai..".. Her round round talls made manik surprise..how she is able to read his mind..only this question was running in his mind..

In the mid of all this confusion..they reached Pune and she stopped her car right outside the recording studio..

Manik : "apko kese pata ..ki mujhe yaha aana tha?".. He asked in shock as she dropped him to the exact place..

Soha : " kaha tha na Maine ki humari manzil ek he hai.."..she said In her sugary tone and before she could look at him..manik moved out of the car and came towards her side..

Manik : "thank you..".. He said without looking at her on which she smiled..

Soha : " yeh mera number..next time remember me in the hour of need.."..with that she gave him her card.. he took it..and she drove away..soon her car got lost in the deep white fog..

Just when she left..that abnormal fog too vanished away..which really surprised manik..he looked at her number and name on the car ..

Manik : "kuch ajeeb hai yeh".. He thought to himself and placed the card in his pocket..

Manik opened his eyes with the jerk..he was totally drenched in sweat..even at the lowest temperature of cabin ..he was in sweat..he wiped off the sweat from his head and moved out of the cabin..while all this was witnessed by that evil soul..and she shrieked the laughter .. Her evil laugh echoed in the cabin..which scared even the non living things..
