1827. - If you want it then say it.
Hibari Kyoya is feeling regret.
To be honest, the respectable chairman who loves violence and is made of money, though looks like someone who can do whatever he wants on the outside, have many things to regret. Nevertheless, a human will always make mistakes and never stop regretting the past. For someone as arrogant as Hibari, it no doubt is easier to be bogged down. Once he falls, there's no other way to escape - because the more he struggles, the faster he is bogged down.
"Kyo-san, Sawada-san just arrived. He's currently waiting in the living room."
Hibari stiffs, even though he was nothing more than a wax statue before. He opens his eyes glancing at Kusakabe Tetsuya, raising one eyebrow suspectfully. His deep voice break through the silence.
"Sawada... Tsunayoshi...?"
Kusakabe stands straight, nodding his head. "Yes."
A "bang" resounded in his brain. All those thoughts, which were drifting wildly, suddenly settle down, lying still. Only an empty space remains.
Hah, how nostalgic.
Sawada Tsunayoshi - still that warm brown hair and those peaceful wooden-shelled pupils - sitting nicely in the empty room, his eyes wandering at the outside scenery.
"Ah, long time no see, Hibari-san."
When was the last time he hear that voice?
The Sawada boy is closer than ever, with his simple plain clothes and his usual familiar smile. The Vongola Tenth Boss - yeah right - slightly bowed before his senior.
"...You..."
Hibari suddenly felt his body stiffen. Why does he look so distant?
He thought it would be that Italian blonde guy that barged into his office while grinning like always. So this sudden turn-up of that petite boy was quite something that Hibari just can't quickly adapt to the situation.
"Are you still doing well, Hibari-san?"
He smiles, still softly just like the last day they met.
Sunset on the terrace, the day that Sawada Tsunayoshi graduated from Namimori secondary school and left for beautiful Italy.
Hibari doesn't know what to say, which is something totally understandable for a relationship that includes not seeing each other, not a single word, not a single line.
Honestly, it's not that they no longer keep in touch with each other. The bronco keeps harping on about what Tsunayoshi would ask him after he returns from all the visits to the dear chairman. The Cloud knows well, it wasn't like he didn't care about him, he just wanted to avoid him.
One simple reason: Hibari Kyoya doesn't like Sawada Tsunayoshi.
"Hibari-san?"
Look, the brunet is tilting his head, looking at him confused. As if this was nothing to him.
"Why...?"
"Yes?"
"Why do... you come here?"
Hibari clearly knew his expression when he uttered that sentence.
Stiff. Empty. Lost.
Sawada Tsunayoshi, after spending 2 seconds opening his eyes wide in surprise, quickly returns to his usual good-natured personality and scratches his cheek laughing it off.
"Oh well... It's been a while since we last saw each other. I finally had some time to return to Japan, so I wanted to come to visit Hibari-san for a little while."
How can you say something so casually like that?
"Hibari-san haven't changed at all, have you?"
Stop smiling. Dammit.
Hibari Kyoya almost wanted to scream, to press that child's head on the ground, to break that slender neck of his, to release all his current anger. Yeah, that would have felt much better.
But what is he angry for?
Who does he think he is to think of touching him?
When the light from the ring on his hand had dimmed off without him knowing.
Sawada Tsunayoshi, after a few minutes of feeling strained, somehow realize there was something wrong with his appearance. He slowly stands up, and Kusakabe only sighs.
"So... If you excuse me, I'll take my leave now."
The brunet slightly bowed, no disrespectful movements allowed.
"It's nice to see you still alright, Hibari-san."
Another smile. Too simple. Too little. Not real at all.
Hibari still stands there, completely alone in the extensive room where no traces are left of that child. In the middle of the creepy silence of the memory, he vaguely hears his voice further away behind the sliding door.
"Sawada-san..." Kusakabe hesitates leading Tsuna to the doorway. The vice chairman really has no words to defend his chairman's behaviour.
On the contrary, the accommodating smile seems to not faze his face. His smile is calm just like the tranquil water, filling all the stormy voids.
"It's okay, Kusakabe-san" The Vongola Tenth Boss has finished tying his shoelaces, taking his coat. He gently says. "Everyone knows that Hibari-san doesn't like me."
How pathetic that sounded.
"N- No, it's not like that at all!" Kusakabe panicky calls out. But he quickly calms himself down when he realizes the other's eyes were wide open in surprise. "It's just ... Kyo-san is pretty..."
"Pretty...?" He tilted his head in suspicion.
"You know, his way of showing affection is pretty ... different."
Kusakabe has used all of his bravery to say this out loud. Only God knows what would the chairman do if his lackey went against his will.
"Haha..."
The guy with the cannon hair raises his head with a start, only to catch a glimpse of silence hiding in those warm brown eyes, which loneliness has used to hide its depth.
"No need for you to comfort me. I knew it."
He knows well.
No, he doesn't know at all.
"Gokudera and Yamamoto are waiting outside. I gotta go. Goodbye, Kusakabe-san."
The poor child disappeared behind the wooden door. The space come back to its usual, clean as if there was no one rousing.
Sure thing, Sawada Tsunayoshi has always been the one to comfort them from the start.
Hibari Kyoya, alone in the solitary world he built for himself, doesn't resign, his hands tighten.
So it just disappeared like that?
He asks himself, right from the start.
Who was the one that turned his back on him?
Who was the one that refused to come to the succession ceremony of the Vongola Tenth Boss?
Who was the one that was so obstinate to put even a step under the unknown west sky?
Who was the one that threw away those letters without reading them?
Who was so arrogant to say even a word about the other?
Whose wishes is that?
It's kinda angst, I know, and I'm sorry. For no reasons, I personally like this two-shot. Yes, there's part 2. I'll be update it soon so stay tuned!
Once again, I'd be appreciate if any of you readers point out my flaws (grammar or something) since English is not my mother language. Thanks for reading!❤️
