Chapter 05
My numbering isn't consistent. So is my updating time.

[Hibari Kyoya]
Hibari grunted in annoyance at the news given to him. That damn brat.
Apparently, Sawada Tsunayoshi has recently left the country. This obviously irks the raven, because he has also discovered that the brunette had been abused at home. Of course, since it was his duty, he was planning on ending that but it looks like the kid managed on his own. What a waste of time.
Hibari scoffed. Domestic abuse. What a pitiful human being, his mother must be.
The raven haired boy dropped the file on his desk and leaned back on his chair, huffing some hair away from his eyes. "Tatsuya." He spoke, he instantly got the attention of the man.
"What is it, Kyoya-san?"
"I'm going to take a nap, don't let anyone disturb me."
Kusabe nodded. "Yes sir."
With one last click of a tongue in irritation, Hibari fell asleep.

[Sawada Tsunayoshi]
Tsuna didn't know how vast the world actually was. He didn't know how everything could be so different. It took his breath away.
Stepping out of the airplane and into the airport was such a simple task and yet, with each step he took, he felt like the world was enclosing itself on him, slowly but surely.
Bustling people moved along, barely glancing at another. Instead, they walked forward with a purpose, with a goal to reach, with confidence in each step. Tsuna idly wonders if he'll be like that one day, with his chin held high and back straight in self-confidence.
He could only gape at everything he saw.
Iemitsu could only chuckle at that. The man has already travelled to many places in the world, but he would never forget the feeling of viewing the amazing different sceneries every time– it was awe striking.
Seeing that his son had no intention of moving or gazing away from practically everything, Iemitsu had to drag his son to the exit and into the limo.
Returning to reality, Tsuna couldn't help but let out a horribly girlish shriek. They were in a limo. A freaking limo. What on Earth did his dad do for a living? "T–this– I–"
"Shh." Iemitsu smiled. "Relax, relax." He said softly. "It's gonna be alright."
Tsuna glared at his father. "I'm not scared!" He huffed. "I just.. Wow." Thats all he could say really. What more could he say? "Its– I don't know where to start." He deflated a bit.
"You'll get used to it eventually." Iemitsu winked.
Tsuna couldn't agree less.
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Tsuna wanted to pass out.
No one said that they would be arriving at a mansion– oh my god a mansion, a mansion in the flesh– But he should have been able to tell by the limo anyways, so shame on him.
Tsuna squirmed. He left so out of place while walking down the hallways to God knows-where. After all, he was only wearing a pair of shorts, a shirt and shoes, while everyone he saw wore something sophisticated. Heck, his own father is! It only put him on the edge even further.
'How on Earth would grandfather be working in a place like this?' Tsuna couldn't help but think to himself, turning to the left while doing so. 'Isn't he like really old? Can he keep up working in an environment like this? He should just retire.' When he stepped into an elevator, he realised something. 'Ah, but, if they pay good, even I wouldn't want to leave.'
DING!
At the sudden noise, Tsuna flinched but tried his best to keep it at a minimum. Were they already there? That was quick, Tsuna mused. Hesitantly, he followed his father forward, making sure to make himself as small as possible.
Now that his entertaining thoughts were gone, anxiety settled itself in his stomach once again. He felt sick. Slowly breathing in and out seemed to help but his vision wouldn't stop swirling. Keep calm, keep calm, he told himself, almost like a mantra.
He could almost feel the people's stares. Their goddamn stares. He felt his skin itch, but resisted the urge to scratch it, not when people were watching him. His muscles were tense and stiff. Why wouldn't they go away?
Ah.
Tsuna knew why. He knew why they were staring so intently at him.
His scars.
It was foolish of him to go out in public with a simple T-shirt and shorts. Curse him. Damn it. Damn it. Why didn't his father say anything?
He glared at the back in front of him. Was he doing this on purpose?
You shouldn't have trusted him.
What a traitorous sounding voice, Tsuna dully noted. Or perhaps it was one filled with betrayal? Either way, he didn't care.
"Tsuna?"
Only when his father called out to him did he notice that they had already stopped and were currently standing in front of huge double doors. He bit his lip and looked up to meet his father's gaze, he gave a watery smile. "Sorry."
When his father frowned at him, he couldn't help but cringe. Judging by the look on his father's face, his smile wasn't exactly reassuring.
You're such a fool.
Tsuna sighed. "Sorry, just tired. I think." He quickly added on, not really sure. Maybe it truly was because he was tired, maybe thats why he is acting so strange.
Strange? You idiot. What you're feeling is–
"Anyways–" Tsuna cut in front of the voice that only he could hear, apparently. "Wheres grandpa?"
Iemitsu narrowed his eyes one more time before sighing, his shoulders slumping. He'll find out eventually, plus, no need to force the kid to spill anything out. He smiled. "Grandpa is in there." He pointed finger to the doors behind him. "He's excited to meet you, tuna fish!"
Tsuna highly doubted that, but nevertheless he smiled back, even if it was a bit crooked. "Okay."
Iemitsu gave him one last glance before steeling his expression and opening the grand double oak doors, Tsuna trailing behind him.
An old man sat on a chair behind a large desk and windows behind him. All around the room were bookcases holding books. On the far right, there was some sofas and a tiny coffee table.
"Iemitsu." The old man greeted.
"Nono." Iemitsu said back with the same amount of tension as the old man did.
"I infer that you had a safe trip, no?"
Iemitsu nodded. "Yes we did, thank you very much."
The old man nodded in approval.
Now that formalities were over, Iemitsu broke the tense atmosphere with a goofy grin. "Anyways! This is my son, here." He nudged Tsuna out from behind him. "No need to be shy, tuna fish!"
Tsuna peeked out from his father's back and gave a small wave to the old man before hiding himself once again.
The old man held back a flinch once his eyes made eye contact with the boy's. Tsuna probably didn't notice this but his eyes were so.. Dull. He gritted his teeth together.
Iemitsu gave a small nod, something Tsuna didn't notice, and mouthed to him that they'll talk about it later, privately.
Nono nodded back, before turning his attention to Tsuna again, a smile bloomed on his face. "Tsunayoshi-kun, there's no need to be afraid, I'm just a weak old man."
Iemitsu couldn't help but think what a horrible lie that was. Nono wasn't weak at all.
"... Are you Grandfather?" Tsuna asked, still behind his father.
"Nuh uh!" Iemitsu tsk'ed lightly. "When you talk to people, you've got to look at them in the eyes, Tsuna."
Slowly and reluctantly, Tsuna peeked out once again and asked the same question. "Are you my Grandfather?" His tone had a bit of annoyance in it.
Nono couldn't help but notice how the boy tried to keep eye contact but his gaze kept going somewhere else-- anywhere where his eyes weren't at.
The old man-- his grandfather, Tsuna guessed-- cleared his throat a bit before speaking once more. "That's right, Tsunayoshi-kun, I'm your grandfather."
Tsuna blinked. "Does that make you papa's father?"
Nono blinked back.
Iemitsu blinked as well.
Tsuna tilted his head in confusion.
Iemitsu chocked on a laugh. He snorted. "That's cute, tuna fish, but Nono isn't your blood-related grandfather, it's just.." He paused for a while. "It's like if you see someone older than you, you call them 'Onii-san' or 'Onee-san' okay? No connection at all."
That's a lie
Tsuna didn't need the voice to tell him so, he already had a gut feeling. He could feel a connection, a faint one, but it was there, perhaps it wasn't a blood relation. Nevertheless, he nodded. No point in arguing.
You're a coward.
He already knew that as well.
"Anyways," Iemitsu coughed into his fist. "this man knows quite a lot! So you can tell him about your dream, tuna fish."
Nono chuckled. "It's simply because of my old age, Iemitsu. However, if anything is troubling you, you can always tell me, Tsunayoshi-kun."
Don't tell him.
"Um..." Tsuna's heart beat was accelerating. ".. I don't.. Want to talk about it.." He didn't trust him, not yet at least.
As if sensing his suspicion, Nono smiled. "It's alright if you don't want to talk about it."
Hearing that, Tsuna's shoulders slumped and he let out a sigh of relief.
Nono's gaze landed on the clock. "Oh dear. It's been fun, Tsunayoshi-kun, Iemitsu." He glared at the mountain of papers. "But I must get back to work."
Iemitsu gave a nod.
Nono gave a nod back. They'll talk about it later.
Tsuna waved goodbye and the old man returned it with a smile.

"So where are we staying?" Tsuna asked, his feet dangling while he sat in the taxi.
Iemitsu sighed. "The thing is, I've got to get back to work as well." Vongola needs me there after all. "So you're going to stay at a friend's place while I'm at work, okay?"
Tsuna nodded. He didn't mind, he trusted his father.
Do you really?
He ignored the voice.
___________________________
Tsuna rung the doorbell and waited.
His father already left him once they reached the house. He remembered how Iemitsu left him with such a tearful gaze and a promise that he'll come back soon. He smiled at the memory; his father was such a drama queen.
Finally, the door opened and a man with jet black hair, a fedora, a black suit with an orange undershirt, and a chameleon stood there, his gaze piercing.
"Who the hell are you?" The man asked.
Tsuna blinked. He would've thought that he got the house wrong if it wasn't for his father who brought him there in the first place. Why on Earth would his father have a friend like this? Also what's with the chameleon? Who carries one everywhere they go?
"Sawada Tsunayoshi, sir." He responded quickly.
The man gave a tsk in disapproval. "You're really just a kid, huh? To be giving out your true name like that and to a stranger nonetheless." He sighed, opening the door wider. "Come in, kid."
Tsuna adjusted the tiny backpack he had on before entering the house. He observed the house. It was as big as it looked from the outside, it looked extremely fancy as well. Judging by the decor and the man's fashion, this person must be a snappy-dresser, Tsuna mused.
The man sighed as he closed the door behind him. "Names Reborn." He sat down on a large couch. "World's greatest hitman." He said casually, as if he was simply talking about the weather.
Tsuna spluttered. Hitman!? And the world's number one nonetheless! Why– What is wrong with his father?
Dangerous.
He knows that. He can practically feel the man's– Reborn's ability and KI. What a strange man.
He narrowed his eyes at the raven, causing the man to raise an eyebrow. "You're weird."
Reborn remained unaffected. He scoffed. "Sure, people tend to say that a lot." He didn't mind, he didn't care. It was actually a good thing that he wasn't ordinary. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if he was like others. Indifference irked him.
"And you sure aren't a normal kid either." He truly wasn't. The kid's gaze looks as if he could stare into your soul– know every single thing about you. It slightly unsettled Reborn but he's dealt with worst, the kid in front of him was nothing.
Reborn stood up. "Anyways, you hungry, kid?"
Tsuna hummed. "Yeah, I guess I am." He paused for a bit, glaring at the man's back. "And I am not a kid."
"Sure." Reborn rolled his eyes, entering the kitchen, Tsuna trailing behind him. "And I do pug-trafficking."
In response to that, Tsuna fisted his tiny hands together and murmured under his breath. "I bet you actually do." But out loud he asked. "How do you know my father?"
"Iemitsu, huh?" Reborn said nonchalantly as he poured some coffee for himself before moving on to make a sandwich. "We go way back, I barely remember the details."
"You're a hitman." It wasn't a question, it was a statement; they both knew that. The air started getting tense. "How do you know my father?" He repeated the question, a bit more strictly.
Reborn remained the same, the only difference was the gleam in his onyx eyes and the curve of his mouth. He smirked. "Wouldn't you like to know."
Tsuna remained still and strong, unwavered by the man's gaze, surprisingly. "What does my father do for a living?" He wanted to know. His father won't tell him. He was keeping secrets from him. He could faintly hear the voice laughing in the distance.
Reborn narrowed his eye, smirk gone. The air has gotten darker– this time, it was all Reborn's work. Tsuna felt like he was suffocating, but he continued to keep eye contact. This was a battle– a war.
Tsuna tensed up when he saw Reborn's hand move towards his suit– he's going to get something out– slowly slowly. The man slid his hand in his suit and slowly pulled out a–
Move!
Tsuna quickly side-stepped from his previous position, sparing a glance at the hole that now was newly made. He didn't have time for that. Adrenaline pumping in his veins, he ran towards the lounge, bullets following in his wake.
He turned swiftly, jumping over a couch in the process. He tried hiding under a table, but the moment he stepped close to it, a bullet nearly made contact with his leg. He tsk'ed. Before he rushed towards the stairs, he glanced at his attacker's expression.
Reborn was grinning.
Tsuna took off, sprinting. His mind was going through a thousand thoughts per second. As he climbed the stairs– Reborn was so close– he chucked his bag at the man, successfully slowing the hitman down, just enough time for him to reach the next floor.
He decided against going into the first door he saw– it would be too obvious– he ran and ran. The hallway was going to end, he saw it, however, there was one last door at the very back just when the hallway was going to end– it was a door to the terrace. He grinned.

[Reborn]
Reborn was immensely amused. Despite looking scrawny and weak, the kid had some kind of reflex.
Sure, normal people wouldn't all of a sudden try to shoot a child, but he wasn't normal. He knew what he was doing, or else he would just be an idiot.
Reborn walked down the hallway, taking his time while whistling a tiny tune. Reborn knew the kid wouldn't take the first door he saw once arriving at the second floor, no target did since the attacker would be able to easily see and hear that. Most targets hid in the last door, at the very end. There was two reasons for that.
1) They were idiots and didn't know that their course of action was so cliche that anyone would have guessed that. Plus, they were stupid to think that being at the very end meant being safe.
2) They were too filled with fear and adrenaline to make the right decision.
Reborn smirked. He's curious on which his current "target" was.
Finally, he reached the end. One last door leading outside. Reborn clicked his tongue in annoyance. If the kid did go towards the last door then he could have easily jumped down and escaped. However... Reborn's smirk returned. Would the kid have the guts to even jump off? It was the second floor, the ground was too far for his short legs.
Reborn shrugged. He opened the door, a gust of wind greeting him once he has done so. He looked down. The patch of grass looked normal, no evidence that someone jumped down.. He hummed in thought.

[Sawada Tsunayoshi]
Tsuna grinned. At first he really didn't like the thought of nearly dying at the hands of his caretaker but now, he had a plan and it thrilled him, this hunt.
He listened carefully to the footsteps of his attacker. The tables are going to turn real soon.
His hunter-- he snickered at the thought, because he was going to be the predator soon-- was whistling a quiet tune. The tiny song soothed him, it felt nostalgic. Where had he heard it before?
Shaking his head to remove the thoughts, he tensed himself when he heard the footsteps stop along with the alluring melody. (Alluring? No way. It definitely wasn't soothing, spirit lifting, nor sorrowfully wonderful at all. Nope.)
Then he heard a thoughtful hum. His grinned stretched even wider, almost maniacally.
Attack
Tsuna rushed outside the room he was hiding in-- the one right beside the last door-- and before Reborn could fully turn to him in shock, he kicked the man's back causing him to fall forwards, outside.
Fall fall fall fall
Tsuna pumped his fist in the air the moment Reborn made contact with the grass outside. He laughed when the raven glared at him heatedly.
Now for the last step, Tsuna thought as he quickly locked all the windows on the second floor and first floor. He made sure to tightly lock all the doors too.
After he double-checked that everything was locked and secured, he hummed a little tune-- unaware that the tune was the one Reborn was humming to himself earlier.
Tsuna made his way to the kitchen where the fight started. He was still hungry. Heck, he was even hungrier than before, because of the run!
However the moment he reached the lounge to go to the kitchen, he saw a familiar mop of jet black hair in a fedora.
He stepped back, Reborn stepped forward. No longer was his attacker-- yes, his attacker. The tables were turned once more-- wearing a smirk but instead a scowl.
Tsuna bit his lip to prevent a whimper from escaping.
This is bad.
The intense look in Reborn's dark eyes sent shivers down his spine.
He was going to get killed. He doesn't want to die.
There's still one option
But he can't. It's too much for him to handle. What on Earth can he-- his gaze landed on the yellow pacifier on the hitman's neck.
His heart beats accelerated even more-- he was afraid that he'd pass out. What is this feeling... A strange.. Resonance.
Slowly Tsuna reached out to touch the object. Strangely enough, Reborn stayed still, almost as if he was frozen.
He gave a shaky gasp. Why did the pacifier seem so .. Familiar.. Slowly, Tsuna moved his gaze to meet Reborn's. The man's eyes were wide in shock.
Tsuna gulped and looked back at the pacifier. He noticed a dark tint of yellow in the bright, clearly contrasting. ".. It's.." Tainted. Impure. Waiting to be cleanse. Instead of saying those thoughts, he coughed into his fist, hand going away from the object despite the urge to just purify it to make its beautiful colour gleam again.
"Where'd you get something like that?" Tsuna raised an eyebrow. "Didn't think you'd be the type to .. Wear one of those." He cheekily smiled but his eyes kept flickering to the pacifier every once in a while.

[Reborn]
Reborn blinked a couple of times, almost as if he was trying to regain his sense of time. He narrowed his eyes, gaze quickly going over the brunet, suspiciously.
That was.. Weird.
The moment Tsuna was going for the pacifier, every single cell in his being screamed at him to move and get the hell away from the kid. Protect the pacifier!
But another part of him denied that. A strong and steeled will that made him unable to move.
When the kid freaking touched the pacifier, alarms were ringing in his head. What the hell!
But his stiff and tense body relaxed. The look on the brunet's face somehow calmed him. No one calms freaking Reborn the world's number one hitman, he calms himself damn it!
And then the brunet let go. He denied the fact that he was disappointed, almost as if he was expected something.
It irritates him, this kid. The boy in front of him nothing but a child. He could read him easily as an open book. Like right now, the kid himself is clearly trying to change the topic, making it seem as if whatever happened never actually happened at all. However.. A while ago..
He must have been silent for quite a while because the kid's cheeky look changed into one of concern. The kid definitely has confidence to be concerned about him. Also to push him off the terrace and lock all the windows and doors.
He glared, the child flinched.
"You must be an idiot if you think I'll just let you off the hook that easily." He spoke, a cruel smirk etching itself on his features.
The boy in response gulped, uneasiness obvious on his face.
Well, he wasn't called a sadist for nothing.

[Sawada Iemitsu]
Work is such a drag, Iemitsu couldn't help but think to himself. He shrugged. He's doing it to support his family. Oh yeah, he had to send some money over to--
He gritted his teeth. Old habits died hard. He left that woman. His son is in Italy now, with.. Reborn.
He gulped. Reborn. He wasn't so sure at first if leaving his fragile son with the world's greatest hitman was a good choice but he had faith in Reborn. Probably.
His eyes scanned the street from his window in his office. Just a normal day, the sky is blue, people are bustling everywhere, some Mafiosi is threatening to kill someone causing chaos. Wait-- what?
Iemitsu stood up quickly. He recognized that Mafiosi! Wearing a black suit, a fedora, and has a chameleon..
His eyes darted around the street, praying that he did not find his son there as well.
He saw a familiar mop of brown gravity-defying hair.
He groaned. What the hell was going through that man's head?!
"Boss!" A subordinate yelled by the door. "Something is going on in town! Would you like one of our men to check it out?"
Iemitsu groaned. He face palmed. "No, no." He dismissed the thought with a wave of his hand. "I'll go myself."
The subordinate spluttered. "Y-yourself, sir?!" He quickly tried to regain his composure. He coughed into his enclosed fist, shakily. "No, please. I insist that for such a small job, our men will be enough, sir."
Iemitsu sighed. "The thing is, my good man, is that this isn't such a 'small' job." He glared at the man, causing him to gulp. "My son is out there with some psycho that I thought I could trust! I've got to do something!"
"Y-yes sir!" The man stuttered. "W-w-would you like some b-backup, s-sir--"
"We're you not listening?" Iemitsu growled. "I said I'll do it myself!"
"Yes! Sir yes sir!" The man shrieks and ran out of the office.
Iemitsu sighed. He didn't mean to snap at the guy, really. He was just stressed out a bit. Maybe a lot. He will have to apologize later. For now..
His gaze landed on his window again, looking at the chaos below. He clicked his tongue in annoyance. He took too long speaking to his subordinate.
He opened the window and jumped out with ease. He landed perfectly on his feet, unfazed.
The citizens around him gaped in shock but most of them simply rolled their eyes. They were used to Vongola being such show-offs despite knowing the organization as a company instead of a mafia group.
Iemistsu gave a reassuring smile before steeling his features and walking up to Reborn with a glare. "And what exactly are you doing?"
Reborn pursed his lips, his figure nonchalant. He shrugged and pointed to a store owner with a jab of his thumb. "That guy there was trying to molest your son."
Iemitsu thought his vision turned red in rage for a second before he had to forcefully calm himself.
Inhale. Exhale. "Is what this man saying true?" He asked in Italian, his eyes narrowing dangerously.
Iemitsu's gaze landed on Tsuna-- small, terrified, looking ready to piss himself. Fear, uncertainty, embarrassment-- before he made eye contact with the man once again.
"Spit it out." He growled.
___________________________
[Reborn]
The man snarled. "Me? Molest that child? Surely you jest." He scoffed. "Who on Earth would touch a child like that? He's not cute at al--"
He couldn't finish his sentence because Reborn suddenly took a hold of his shirt and glared at him, killing intent coming off of him like pores. "Don't fucking lie to us, you asshole. I saw you pull that shit. Don't even try to deny it." His eyes were flashing dangerously as he recalled what happened just moments ago.
What the kid did was an absolute insult to the hitman's pride but Reborn decided to punish him lightly. And so, as punishment, the kid would have to carry all of the items he bought while they were in town. He was being merciful.
However, despite how merciful he was being, the kid kept on complaining.
"Hey I'm tired, let's rest for a bit."
"Why am I carrying your things? Do it yourself!"
"You're a butt, you know that right?"
"Why are you even buying so much? Hitmen don't shop! Girls do that!"
"I hope you slip on a banana peel and fall."
"*mutters mutters* don't disturb me, I'm trying to curse you."
"What's up with the chameleon? Couldn't you get something cuter? Like a dog! Ah, but, I guess it suits you. It's a reptilian right? Cold blooded, like you."
"Ugh, the way you walk makes me wanna puke. Who walks like that nowadays? This isn't the old English times where old dukes would, I dunno, walk like they are the center of the world?"
Anyways, Reborn had enough of it. He'll properly punish the kid when they get back. However, he need to stop by one last place. He needed some groceries. Before the fight even occurred, Reborn had checked the fridge and cringe at the lack of food in it but played it cool anyways.
While he was checking out some fruit, the kid stood beside him, not too close and not too far either. He softly hummed the tune to himself.
A few seconds after he picked up one fruit-- a banana, he noticed with dry humor-- he was going to inspect another before he heard a tiny whimper.
Reborn shifted his gaze to the sound, making sure that it wasn't obvious that he was staring, only for his eyes to widen and for his body to move.
Quickly, Reborn grabbed the wrist of the hand that was touching the kid's inner thigh. He pulled and revealed the harasser from the crowd of people, the molester's camouflage.
He punched the man.
Reborn inwardly sighed at the memory. He had no idea why pure fury filled his veins but he didn't care. "Well?" He muttered darkly.
The store owner quickly nodded his head. "O-okay! Okay! I did it! I admit!" He held back a sob. "Now please let me go!"
Reborn let go of the man's shirt but before the man could escape, he tugged on his back collar and threw him towards Tsuna, Iemitsu by his side.
"Apologize." Reborn demanded. He knew nothing would change if the man apologized or not but it was Tsuna who was the victim. And Tsuna was just a child, perhaps he'd feel better if the man apologized in front of him.

[Sawada Tsunayoshi]
Tsuna had no idea what on Earth they were talking about. They were talking in Italian, he can't understand the language.
He was still shaken by what happened.
Rough, unfamiliar hands running itself up his leg. It's going higher. From his ankle to his knee, then to his thigh. The hand gently touched every piece of skin it could.
Tsuna couldn't breathe. What was he supposed to do? His eyes darted to Reborn. He opened his mouth to scream but the hand gave a sharp squeeze on his butt. He shivered.
"Speak and I'll shoot you." A gruff and scratchy voice whispered into his ear, foul breath grazed against his cheeks. He felt fears glazing his eyes.
But thankfully, Reborn turned towards him when a whimper escaped his pursed lips. He bet his face was pink in shame. He mouthed a few words.
'Help me.'
Tsuna swallowed. His throat was parched. He didn't want to be here. There were too many people watching. Why must Reborn and his father do this in public? Just arrest him for heavens sake!
He stared at the man that was forced to kneel in front of him. A part of him felt intrigued in the man's fear.
What a wimp.
Tsuna couldn't agree more. He watched the man try to make an apology despite how shaken up he is.
The man's arms were stretched out towards Tsuna, almost in a 'have mercy' manner. Tsuna felt disgusted by it. How dare he show his hands-- the one that was touching him-- to him.
"I-I'm sorry, kid. I really am!" The man have a weary grin. "Now tell your guardians here to let me go, okay?"
You're not the boss of me. Is what Tsuna wanted to say and kick the man but his eyes softened at the desperation in the man's eyes.
Are you seriously going to forgive him?
Strangely, his thoughts went towards the boy he saw in his dreams-- the one that looked like him. Would he approve of this?
No, he's merciless, cruel. So you should be too.
Tsuna ignored it. He knelt in front of the man and gave a small smile. "I forgive you."
The voice stayed silent.

The man got taken away by the police in the end.

Tsuna sighed as he slumped himself on the couch. "Did you and dad really had to cause a ruckus and gain the attention of the people nearby?" He was so embarrassed.
Reborn smirked. "It doesn't matter, the people are used to it. Things happen in Italy all the time." He placed the plates on the dinning table. "Dinners ready you brat."
Tsuna sighed and stood up, abandoning the TV and walked towards the dinning table. Reborn was already sitting on one chair, he sat on another, just opposite from the hitman.
"When's dad coming home?"
Reborn raised an eyebrow. "Last time I checked, this place isn't your home." He took a piece of meat into his mouth.
Tsuna rolled his eyes. "Won't I be staying here for a while? Then this is my home too! Or at least that's what dad said." He shrugged.
Reborn shrugged as well. "Whatever you say, kid." He swallowed. "And for your previous question, your dad will take a while before he comes back. Who knows when."
Tsuna pouted but nodded. "Okay." He ate a piece of a potato. He smiled. "Did you make this?"
Reborn shrugged. "I may have and I may have not."
"Either way, it's really good." Tsuna complimented. "Thank you."
Reborn snorted. "It's just food, kid. No need to flatte--"
"No." Tsuna cut in. "Not just for the food, but for everything." He smiled gently at Reborn. "Thanks for helping me earlier, I didn't know what to do."
Reborn's eyes softened for a millisecond before returning to normal. He smirked. "I'm going to guess that includes me chasing you and trying to shoot you, right?"
Tsuna stayed silent, giving him a 'are you kidding me?' Look.
Reborn rolled his eyes. "Eat up already, I've got work to do soon. I'll leave after you go to bed."
Tsuna blinked. "Work? It's nearly 9 pm."
"I work night-shifts." Reborn answered.
"Oh yeah, you're a hitman." Tsuna said slowly. "Do you.. Go around killing people?"
"You could say that."
"...oh." Tsuna stared at his plate then continued eating , deciding that he didn't want to talk about Reborn's job anymore.
Soon enough, after they ate, Tsuna took a quick shower and slept at one of the bedrooms. Reborn headed off to work.
