Chapter 7

She couldn't sleep all night, curling up in ball in the corner of the king size bed, she keep listening to rain.

What felt like ages to her, she heard rain noise decreasing. Quickly getting down, she went to the window and open the curtains.

Her room was light up all night, that why she didn't notice at first that it wasn't dark outside anymore. The just-risen sun shone softly, spreading pearly glow in the sky. It was still raining softly, but they can travel.

"Hayder bhai, Hayder bhai!" She ran outside to wake Hayder up, who has fallen asleep on the sofa. Though there were two rooms, but he was sleeping in the sitting room.

"Hayder bhai!" Standing before him, she called, excitedly. "Barish ruk gayi hai. Ghar chale."

(Rain has stopped. Let's go home.)

Hayder slowly opened his eyes and looked around, sitting up, he looked out of the window and saw Hyra was right. Rain has stopped.

Hyra was too excited to notice how tired Hayder looked, his red eyes clearly telling he has just fell sleep.

Picking up his wallet and cars keys, he told her to get her bag and they left.

When they down and saw the sun was now shining in all its glory, weather has turned cold but everything looked beautiful after showering in rain.

"Sab kitna khoobsurat lag raha hai." Chirping, Hyra commented, clearing her glasses with her dupatta.

(Everything looks so beautiful.)

Hayder started his car and opened the front door for her to sit in.

They were silent in whole journey, but Hyra was happy inside.

•••

When they reached home, same time Dawar's car also stopped, he has also left farm house as soon as rain stopped, but because the road was bumpy, he had to travel with slow speed.

"Dawar bhai!" Hyra was the one who noticed him getting down from his car, and ran to him. Like she just got release from jail.

"Kaisi ho?" Dawar wrapped his arm around her, and asked. Hyra nods her head in assurance.

(How are you?)

"Waise, Hayder, tumne yeh bohot galat harkat ki." Dawar turned to Hayder and chided.

(Hayder, you did very wrong thing.)

"Andar chale, bohot thaka hoon." Hayder replied.

(Can we go inside? I am very tired.)

"Mujhe bhook lag rahi hai." Hyra added.

(I am hungry.)

"Mujhe bhi." Now that he has saw both Hyra and Hayder are safe, Dawar realise how he hasn't eaten since yesterday.

(I am hungry too.)

Laraib was standing away from them, looking at Dawar and Hyra. When they were in farm house, he was only worried about Hyra, and now worrying about her like they are meeting after years. This made roll her eyes.

"Andar chale?" Laraib finally spoke up.

(Can we go inside now?)

"Haan, chalo!" Dawar left Hyra and said.

(Yes, let's go.)

They had just entered porch when Hyra saw her aun Gauhar coming out with Keyaan behind her, holding suitcase.

"Khala, aap kahi ja rahi hain?" Hyra asked.

(Khala, are you going anywhere?)

Gauhar looked at her sharply, then at Hayder, without replying, she left.

All four of hem turned to Keyaan, who was still standing there. He just shrugged his shoulder and also left after his mother.

"Kya hua?" Hayder wondered.

(What happened?)

"Hogi koi emergency, chorho." But Dawar waved it off.

(Must be some emergency. Let it be.)

Together they both went inside, the house which was so enthusiastic yesterdah, was now silent as if something huge happened.

Hayder and Dawar, who both were tired, didn't notice it and directly went to their room, Laraib followed after Dawar. But Hyra, she felt as if everyone there were giving her weird looks.

She went to the living room where her mother was. Rabia and Uswa were there with her.

"Maama!"

"Hyra!" Arzoo quickly engulfed her into a tight hug.

"Mummy, kuch nashta hai, bohot bhook lagi hai." Hyra looked at Rabia and asked.

(Mummy, I am very hungry, have you made anything?)

"Haan, main tumhare liye nashta bana deti hoon." Rabia stood up and left for the kitchen.

(Yes, I will make breakfast for you.)

"Maama, bahar Gauhar khala mili thi, kahi ja rahi hain woh?" Hyra asked.

(Maama, I saw Gauhar khala outside, where she is going?)

"Bhad mein jaye woh." Arzoo's face sullen in the mention of her sister.

(Let her go to hell.)

This surprised Hyra, her mother loved and respect her sisters, how could she talk like that about Gauhar?

Hyra looked at Uswa, who nods her head, assuring her that she will tell her everything.

"Main fresh hoke ati hoon." Hyra excused, and left. Uswa followed after her.

(I will get fresh up.)

"Kya hua hai?" Once they were in their room, Uswa closes the door. Sitting on her bed, Hyra asked.

(What happened?)

"Pehle tum batao kya hua. Tum Hayder bhai ke sath kaise gayi?" Sitting in front of Hyra, Uswa asked.

(First you tell me what happened. Why did you go to Hayder bhai?)

"Main toh Kubra api ke sath ja rahi thi. Tabu aunty ayi toh woh wapas agayi aur Hayder bhai ki koi meeting thi unhone bas gusse mein car start kardi."

(I was going with Kubra api. Tabu aunty came, Kubra api went to meet her, and Hayder bhai had some important meeting, he started the car in angery.)

"Oh! Pata hai main kitna pareshaan thi, mujhe toh Rafey pe gussa araha tha unki wajah se main tumhare sath nahi. Sath hoti toh shayad itna sab na hota."

(Oh! You know I was so worried about you. I was even angry with Rafey, if he hadn't told me to go alone with him, I wouldn't have left your side and these thing wouldn't happened.)

"Kya sab?" Confusingly, Hyra asked.

(What things?)

"Tumhe pata hai kal Dawar bhai ki call ayi thi tumhari aur Hayder bhai ki khairiyat batane ke liye. Phone Gauhar aunty ne receive kiya shayad."

(You know Dawar bhai called to inform about your and Hayder bhai's well being. Your aunty received the call.)

"Toh?"

(Then?)

"Toh pata nahi kya kya keh rahi thi sabke samne. Kehti achha hua waqt rehte pata chal gaya warna aisi larki ko apne ghar ki bahu bana leti main."

(Then she talked so loudly in front of everyone. She was saying it's good things she got to know about these things otherwise she would have a girl like this her daughter-in-law.)

"Uswa, tum kya keh rahi ho mere kuch samajh nahi araha." Hyra interrupted her.

(Uswa, I am not able to understand what you are saying.)

"Okay? Main shuru se batati hoon." Taking a deep breath in, Uswa said.

(Okay? I will tell you everything from start)

After Dawar's call, Gauhar went to Arzoo and demanded where Hyra is. Arzoo was unaware of Hyra missing, Uswa told her that Hyra is resting in her room.

This made Gauhar's doubt more clear. She thought Hyra has sneak out of the house with Hayder.

She created a scene, not caring if others guests could hear her. Arzoo told her not to talk about her daughter like that, and Hayder is like a brother to her, don't throw dirt on their relationship. But Gauhar wasn't ready to listen. In the end, Arzoo asked her sister to leave.

Arzoo was upset with both Rabia and Uswa, they should have told her that Hyra isn't at home.

"Uswa, mere abhi bhi kuch samajh nahi araha hai." Hyra's mind was numb with all these information. She was not ready to accept her aunty tainted her character like this.

(Uswa, I still can't understand anything.)

"Mat socho, Hyra. Rishtedar aise hi hote hain, bekar. Mat socho unka." Uswa went to her side and hugged her.

(Don't think, Hyra. Relatives are like this, useless. Don't think about them.)

•••

Dawar and Laraib couldn't sleep more than an hour, tonight was walima's function, they had to get ready for it.

After getting fresh up, he went outside to ask someone make tea for him.

"Kaisi baat kar rahi hain aap, bhabhi?" Arzoo's bedroom door was opened, her loud and shocked voice came from it, startled him. "Gauhar ki toh adat hai choti si baad ka tamasha banane ka. Meri bachhi aisi nahi."

(What are you saying, Bhabhi?)

(Gauhar has habit of making mountain of small things. My daughter isn't like this.)

Curiosity build in him, whom she is talking and about whom? He got inside and saw Arzoo was alone, talking to someone on her phone.

"Bhabhi, Hayder bhaiyo jaisa hai Hyra ke. Dono sath mein the koi gunah nahi tha, fas gaye the barish mein dono. Meri masoom bachhi pe na jane kya kya ilzam laga rahi hai Gauhar."

(Bhabhi, Hayder is like Hyra's brother. It isn't a sin they were together, they got stuck in rain. Gauhar is putting allegations on my innocent daughter.)

Dawar's heart skipped a beat. He made of the situation from Arzoo's words.

"Main baad mein call karti hoon, ghar mein bohot kaam hai." When the other person wasn't ready to listen to her, Arzoo made an excuse and disconnected the call.

(I will call you later. I've work to do.)

"Khud ke bete mein na jane konse heere lage hain jo meri beti pe ilzam laga rahi hain." Arzoo scoff. When she turned, she found Dawar on the doorway.

(As is her son is saint that she is putting allegations on my daughter.)

"Chachi, kya hua hai? Aur please mujhse mat chupaiye, kon kya bakwas kar raha hai Hayder Hyra ke barey mein." Going inside, Dawar asked.

(Chachi, what happened? And please tell me the truth. Who is putting allegations on Hayder and Hyra?)

"Gauhar." Sitting on her bed, Arzoo said, her voice broke down.

Dawar quickly went to take water from side table and passed her.

"Yaha toh kal tamasha banaya hi. Ab ghar jake khandan bhar mein na jane kya kya keh rahi hain Hyra ke barey mein." Drinking water, she told him.

(Yesterday, she created a scene here. And now, she is talking bad about Hyra to everyone at home.)

"Maine toh socha tha Keyaan se Hyra ka rishta karungi, par achha hua sahi waqt pe Gauhar ka asli chehra dikh gaya."

(I thought I will fix Hyra's marriage with Keyaan, but I am glad I got to see Gauhar's real face.)

"Par yeh sab kis liye?" Dawar was still a little lost.

(But she is doing this?)

"Tumhari call ayi thi unn dono ki khairiyat batane ke liye. Keyaan ne baat ki tumse, bas ussi baat ka tamasha bana diya Gauhar ne ki Hayder aur Hyra hotel mein kya kar rahe hain jab unhe farm house jana tha."

(When you called to tell about Hayder and Hyra's well being, Keyaan received the call, Gauhar is making scene out of it, saying Hayder and Hyra should be at farm house, what are they doing in hotel.)

"Hayder ki meeting thi..." Slowly, he told her.

(He had a meeting.)

"Asim bhai ne bataya tha. Halat aise ho gaye janti hoon. Gauhar ne bas khamakha ka mehman ke samne tamasha bana diya." Arzoo's body was shivering, her breath become heavy.

(Asim bhai told us. The situation become like this I know. Gauhar has just created a scene in front of guests.)

"Aap pareshaan na ho. Sab theek ho jayega." Dawar put his hand on her shoulder, and told her.

(You don't worry. Everything will be okay.)

"Tum bhi jao taiyyar ho jao, shaam mein function hai, ek toh tumhari shadi mein yeh sab ho gaya..."

(You go and get ready, tonight is your reception, and these things happened...)

"Chachi, yeh sab na soche."

(Don't think like that.)

Dawar was already guilty. It was his fault people were talking bad about his sister.

•••

Even in walima's function, people were interested in Hayder and Hyra more than newly wedded. Those relatives who were not at home, they got to know about everything from others.

Hyra couldn't bear judging eyes of others and sat in the corner, away from others.

"Hyra! Yaar kyu udas ho? Mitti dalo na." Uswa was trying to convince her to come with her.

(Hyra! Why are you upset? Just forget it.)

"Mujhe ghar jana hai." Hyra was trying hard not to cry.

(I want to go home.)

"Arey, Dawar bhai ka walima hai, hum kitne khush the na iske liye. Tum aise ghar nahi ja sakti." Stubbornly, Uswa said.

(But it's Dawar bhai's reception, we were so excited for it. You can not go home.)

"Meri wajah se unka function bhi kharab ho gaya." Hyra mumbles.

(Because of me, his function is ruined.)

"Tumhari wajah se kuch nahi hua hai. Yeh sab tumhari unn Zakala khala ki wajah se hua hai." Uswa showed her hand to stop her talking, and told her, flipping her hair.

(Nothing is ruined because of you. This happened because of your Zakala khala.)

"Unka naam Gauhar hai."

(Her name is Gauhar.)

"Harkatein toh zakala wali hain." Her sentence made Hyra giggles.

(But Zakala suits her more.)

"Chalo, tum muskurai toh." Uswa face broke into a huge smile.

(Thank God you smile.)

"Ab chalo na, gol gappe khate hain." Uswa whined. Since she came here, she wanted to eat gol gappe, but because Hyra was upset, Uswa's couldn't focus on food.

(Now come on, let's eat gol gappe.)

"Mujhe gol gappe nahi khane. Mujhe gulab jamun khana hai." Hyra mumbles. She liked gol gappe, but wasn't in the mood to eat. Whenever she is upset, sweets were her comfort. And gulab jamun was her most favourite sweet dish.

(I don't want to eat gol gappe, I want to eat Gulab Jamun.)

"Itni derr se munh mein jo rasugulla jamaya hai wahi kha lo." Pinching Hyra's huffed cheeks, Uswa commented.

Hyra slapped her hand away, but soft laughter left her mouth. Uswa was successful in making Hyra's mood cheery.

Together, both girl went to buffet side where Uswa eat gol gappe, she force feed Hyra too.

Hyra, when tasted the gol gappe, asked for one plate to eat it more.

•••

"Bin baap ki larki haina, tabhi aisi hai. Baap hota toh baap ka darr hota aisi harkat kabhi na karti."

(Her father isn't alive; that's why she is like this. If her father was alive, she wouldn't have done anything like this.)

Hanif Mirza heard someone saying his, his head snapped toward the direction where this was coming, and saw a distant relative of Rabia were talking.

Hanif looked at Hayder, who was sitting beside him.

"Tumhari wajah se ho raha hai yeh sab." He scolded Hayder in a hushed voice.

(This happened all because of you.)

"Baba, isme meri kya galti hai?" Hayder asked. He has also heard their talks, and wasn't pleased with it. But what could he do about it?

(Baba, how I am at fault?)

"Tumhari galti tumhara gussa hai. Kitni baar kaha hai tahamul se kaam liya karo lekin nahi. Tumhare gusse ki saza uss bechari bachhi ko mil rahi hai. Na jane kaise kaise tohmat laga rahe hain sab uspe."

(Your anger is your fault. How many times I have told you to be patient. That poor girl is punished because of your anger. People are talking about her character.)

"Waise tohmat toh mujhpe bhi laga rahe hain sab." Hayder mutters.

(People are talking about my character too.)

"Tum toh inn sab ke layak ho. Bas Hyra ka naam khamakha badnaam ho raha hai."

(You deserve this. Hyra is being dragged into this because of nothing.)

"Baba, kya hua aap gussa kyu kar rahe hain." Kubra, who saw their arguing, came there to calm Hanif Mirza. "Sab aap dono ko hi dekh rahe hain."

(Baba, why are you angry?)

(People are looking at you.)

"Inko dekh rahe hain, inhone harkat jo ki hai." Hanif Mirza points at Hayder.

(People are looking at him because of what he did.)

"Main ghar ja raha hoon. Apke tane ab aur nahi sunne mujhe. Kubra, tumhe chalna hai?" Hayder stood up, closing the button of his blazer, he asked Kubra.

(I am going home. I can not tolerate your taunts anymore. Kubra, you want to come?)

"Ab woh kyu jayegi ghar? Iss bachhi ka bhi mood kharab karna hai tumhe." Hanif Mirza asked, sharply.

(Why would she go home? You want to ruin the function for her too?)

"Apne toh mujhe villain hi bana diya hai." Mumbling, Hayder left.

(You've made me the villain.)

"Baba, isme bhai ki galti toh nahi." Kubra didn't like how Hanif was scolding Hayder, and sided with her brother.

(Baba, it isn't bhai's fault.)

"Uski tarafdari mat karo."

(Don't side with him.)

Hanif Mirza has never been this angry in his life, because of his grandson, a innocent girl's character got ruin.

•••

"Gauhar ne toh hadd hi kardi hai."

(Gauhar has crossed all the limits.)

Everyone from Azroo's side has called her at least once to talk about what Gauhar told them, while they appeared to be sympathetic with their words, Arzoo figure out their intention. They just wanted entertain themselves with this gossip.

Arzoo just ended the call with her mami.

"Arzoo, na socho iss barey mein." Tabu consoled her. "Kuch din mein log bhool jayenge."

(Arzoo, don't think about it.)

(People will forget after some days.)

Tabu, Rabia, and Arzoo were sitting alone in Arzoo's room.

"Itne din toh ho gaye, koi kuch nahi bhoola, bhabhi, koi kuch nahi bhoolega. Meri beti ki toh zindagi barbad kar di Gauhar ne." Crying, Arzoo complained.

(So many days have passed, no one forget anything, bhabhi, no one will forget anything. Gauhar has ruined my daughter's life.)

"Arzoo, hume humari aulad pe pura yakeen hai. Tum agar aise sochne lagi toh Hyra kon himmat dega." Rabia passed her a glass of water, and told her.

(Arzoo, we trust our kids. If you will think like, who will console Hyra.)

Arzoo wiped off her tears, Rabia was right, she had to be strong for her daughter.

If Akbar was alive, no one would have dared to talk about Hyra like this.

•••

"Ibtisham ki call ayi thi." Tabu was bringing tea for Hanif Mirza when he told her.

(Ibtisham called.)

Tabu looked at him questioningly. His cold stare and tired posture tells her no good news.

"Sharik ne Ibtisham ke paas call karke ussey yaha pe jo hua sab bataya hai." He told her. "Kafi gussa kar raha raha tha Ibtisham. Bahar reh kar rishte hi jaise bhool gaya sarey, Hayder sage bhai ka beta hai uske, aur usne yakeen kar liye Hayder aisa kuch karega." Removing his specs, he put them on side table. He was very disappointed with his son's behaviour.

(Sharik told everything to him.)

(Ibtisham was very angry. He has forgotten to trust his relations. Hayder is his nephew, how could he not trust Hayder?)

"Baba, woh... unhone mujhse bhi iss barey mein baat ki thi. Woh keh rahe the Hayder ko apne paas bula lete hain. Bahar rahega toh log bhool jayenge iss baat ko." Sitting on the sofa, Tabu told him about the conversation which she had with her husband last night.

(Baba, he... he talked to me too about this. He was suggesting that Hayder should move with us for some months. People will eventually forget about it.)

"Hayder toh chala jayega, aur Hyra, uss bachhi ka kya?" Hanif questioned.

(Hayder will go with you. And Hyra? What about her?)

"Maine bhi yahi kaha unse. Aise cases mein larko ki waise bhi kam hi badnami hoti hai, zindagi toh larki ki kharab hoti hai. Dono masoom hoke bhi gunehgaar ban gaye hain." Tabu looked down and answered.

(I told him the same thing. In these cases, people only tainted girl's reputation. No one really bothered with the boy.)

"Main kuch soch raha tha." Slowly, Hanif Mirza said.

(I was thinking of something.)

"Kya, Baba?"

(What, Baba?)

"Agar Hayder ki shadi Hyra se karwa dein?"

(If we get Hayder marry Hyra?)

•••

"Yeh aap kya keh rahe hain, Baba? Meri shadi Hyra se?" Hayder looked at his grandfather with disbelief.

(What are you saying, baba? My marriage? With Hyra?)

"Haan toh, aisi konsi anokhi baat keh di maine?"

(Yes, I haven't told you anything strange.)

This was an strange demand. How could one in his sense think of Hayder's marriage with Hyra.

"Hyra se shadi kaise..."

(But how can I marry Hyra...)

"Kyu nahi? Itni pyari bachhi hai, akhir kya kami hai usme jo tum aise sawal kar rahe ho."

(Why not? Such a nice girl she is. What's wrong with her that you are questioning me?)

"Balki sawal toh mujhe tumse karna chahiye, aisa kya gussa tha jo ussey bhi apne sath meeting mein leke chale gaye, zara khayal nahi aya main jo kar raha hoon uska asar uss larki ki izzat pe ayega." Hanif glare at him.

(In fact, I should be the one questioning you, how much angry you were that you took her t the meeting with yourself. Didn't you think for a second that it could effect her character.)

"Baba, main ussey apni marzi se leke nahi gaya tha, main toh kisi ko apni car mein nahi le ja raha tha lekin Kubra ne mere sath jane ko kaha tha..." Hayder shrugged his shoulder, and told him carelessly.

(I didn't want to take her with me. I didn't want to take anyone with me to the farm house. Kubra told me she wanted to go with me...)

"Toh Kubra ko bhi apne sath leke kyu nahi gaye? Ya fir Hyra ko bhi utar dena tha ghar pe itni derri ho rahi thi meeting ke liye."

(Then why didn't you take Kubra with yourself? Or you should have dropped Hyra at home too, if you were getting late for your meeting.)

"Jab tak mujhe ehsas hua barish itni tezz ho rahi thi wapas loutne ka sawal hi nahi paida hua."

(When I realised it, it was raining very hard. I couldn't return.)

"Bas ho gaya na jo hona tha, ab woh masoom larki tumhare naam se badnaam ho rahi hai." Hanif showed his hand to Hayder. "Uski izzat tumhari wajah se pure khandan mein kharab ho rahi hai toh ab tumhara farz hai ussey apna naam do aur apni izzat banao."

(Well, now it all happened, and that innocent girl's life is ruined because of you.)

(Her character is ruined because of you, now it is your responsibility to marry her and give her respect.)

"Par main ussey shadi nahi kar sakta. Baat agar shadi se hi theek ho sakti hai toh Shahzaib ki shadi kara dein ussey." Frustratedly, Hayder run his hand in his hair, then suggested.

(But I can not marry her. If she will get respect by marriage, you can make Shahzaib marry her.)

"Hayder, woh tumhare naam se badnaam ho rahi hai." Hanif put force in his each word. "Aur kya kami hai usme jo tum ussey shadi nahi kar sakte."

(Hayder, people are using your name with her.)

(And what's wrong with her that you can't marry her?)

"Baba, koi kami nahi hai usme, achhi larki hai main janta hoon. Lekin uski aur meri soch mein zameen asman ka farq hai. Aap jante hain mujhe husn se zyada zahanat attract karti hai. Usme kisi chirhiya jitni aqal hogi."

(There is nothing wrong with her, she is a good girl, but we are very different from each other. You know me, more than beauty, I value intelligence. She has brain of a bird.)

"Toh abhi uski umr hi kya hai..." Hanif defended, and accidentally gave Hayder another reason to refuse.

(She is very young....)

"Exactly, hum dono ki age mein bhi kitna farq hai. Main ussey shadi nahi kar sakta. Humari kabhi understanding nahi banegi."

(Exactly, our age difference is very is huge, I can not marry her, we will never able to understand each other.)

"Tumhari dadi mujhse 15 saal choti thi. Humare beech toh kafi understanding thi, khush the ek dusre ke sath." Hanif Mirza had answer to his every objection.

(Your grandmother was 15 years younger than me. We had such a good understanding, we were happy with each other.)

"Par, Baba..."

(But, baba...)

"Tumhari shadi Hyra se hi hogi. Main Asim ko zuban de chuka hoon." Hanif showed his hand and ordered.

(You will marry Hyra only. I have promised Asim.)

"Kya? Baba, aap aisa kaise kar sakte hain?"

(What? Baba, how can you do this?)

This left Hayder's mouth wide open. He thought Hanif Mirza is asking for his consent, but he was telling him his decision?

"Agar tumhe apne dada ki zuban ko qadr nahi toh beshak mana kardo, aur jhuka do apne dada ka sar pure khandan mein." Hanif Mirza said, emotionally, and left.

(If you don't value your grandfather's words then refuse, and embarrass your grandfather in front of everyone.)

Hayder fisted his hand in frustration, sitting down on his bed, he recalled what Hanif just told him.

Hanif Mirza was like a father figure in his life, he could not embarrass him in front of everyone.

•••

Asim Mirza didn't immediately said yes for Hayder's proposal. He first discussed it with Rabia, who was satisfied with this proposal. Asim asked Rabia to talk to Arzoo, and ask for Hyra's consent too.

Arzoo, just like Rabia, was very happy. Where everyone was talking bad about Hyra, Hayder's proposal felt like a saviour to her.

Hayder was a good guy, he would take care of Hyra, Arzoo didn't find any reason to refuse. She instantly said yes.

Hyra was in dilemma when heard her Hyader's proposal.

These days she has been gone through a lot, she doesn't know what to feel about this proposal.

Her character was tainted badly in front of everyone, her family believed her and supported her, but still, the harsh talks of others hurts her.

She wasn't still over with their talks, and now Hayder's proposal... wouldn't it make everyone more suspicious? Won't they talk more about it now?

Hyra wanted to ask these questions to her mother, but when found her mother smiling after weeks, she couldn't bring herself to ruin her mother's happiness.

She nods her head hesitantly, saying yes for his proposal.

•••

Hyra's heart, which was scared from days after her marriage got fixed to Hayder, suddenly found peace when she sat opposite Hayder in the living room.

Family decided to held a small engagement ceremony for them, Tabu put a beautiful ring in Hyra's hand. Officially fixing her marriage with Hayder.

Hyra smiled looking at the ring in her finger. She thought as if she was getting something of her return to her now.

"Allah tumhe hamesha khush rakhe." Tabu put her hand on Hyra's head and blessed her, then feed her sweet. Hyra shyly smiled.

(May Allah always keep you happy.)

When the ceremony was done, Hyra was sitting with Uswa, talking to her when she felt someone's eyes on herself, her head instantly went to Hayder's direction, but he was talking to Dawar.

Shaking her head, she turned to Uswa.

Chand Raat Mubarak everyone... Eid Mubarak to those who are celebrating Eid today💕

Quick explanation who Zakala is- in my childhood, when I was a baby (😂lame ik.) khair, I was very young when there was this horror series, in it, there was a character name name Zakala, she was a witch. Her tagline was "Shaitano ki khala Zakala." 🤣

So yeah, that's why I just used that little snippet of childhood and named Gauhar Zakala. 🙊

Khair, a short story - my youngest khala, she was also little, and she used to babysit us siblings, so she used to call us shaitan, so she made herself Zakala and this her Dialogue shaitano ki khala Zakala 🤭🤣
