Tears was continuously flowing from her eyes as she turned the next page.

Diary Part

Sanskaar was sitting in his room studying when Ragini barged into his room. He looked at her startled and she gave him a cheeky smile.

Ragini - Sanskaar, I have a question.

Sanskaar (narrowing his eyes) - And what is that..??

Ragini (sitting beside him) - After our marriage, where will I sleep on this bed..??(tapping her chin) Your left side or your right side..?

Sanskaar's jaw dropped as he looked at her in bewilderment.

Sanskaar - What the...!! (angrily) Don't you think anything except our marriage, which is never going to happen.

Ragini (pouted) - Why do you always say that our marriage is not going to happen. (dreamily)You know It's my dream to be your wife.

His gaze became tender as he looked at her with unexplainable emotion. Why his heart beat faster whenever she talked about their marriage.? Why does he want her to be around him all the time.? Why do her nonsense talks make his day more colourful.?

He must have hit his head somewhere that's why he is thinking all this. He shook his head in annoyance and glared at her.

Sanskaar (scowled)- And I wish your this dream never come true.

Her smile faded as she looked at him with sad eyes. A thin layer of water formed in her eyes and she blinked rapidly.

Ragini (giving a smile to him) - One day, It's going to be true, Sanskaar. I promise you.

A tear escaped from her eyes but she wiped it quickly and rushed outside. He shut his eyes frustrated as her teary face flash in front of his eyes.

Sanskaar (to himself)- Why do you always do this, Sanskaar ? Why ? You don't like her, In fact you hate her, Then why do you feel that your heart crushed everytime you saw her tears? Why do you blame himself everytime after you hurt her with your words. ? (pulling his hair) Argghhhh..!!! She is going to make me mad..!! (exhaling a deep breath) No Sanskaar, You have to focus on her studies and make your Mom-Dad proud. They will automatically came back to you. You just need to avoid this chudail, That's it.!!

He looked at the door one last time before engrossing himself into the books.

Present day

Ragini (smiling sadly) - I never thought that you were struggling this much within yourself. Mom-Dad loved you as much as they loved me, Then why you always feels that, I took them away from you. (looking at the dairy sadly) How I wish you too tell me what you felt that moment like I told you everytime, whether it is confusion on your part.

She turned another page and smile to see the date of the day. It is the date Ragini first time said that she wanted to marry him. She traced her finger on the letters written on the paper.

5th Anniversary

Diary part

Sanskaar - Today is the day when you said those words first time, Chudail. I never thought that, a day will come when my heart wanted the same. But my mind said the otherwise. I don't know what is right or what is wrong but I know that you are going to be a vital part of my life. Today I haven't seen you from morning and only I know how am I holding myself to barged into your house and see you by myself.

Where are you Chudail ? It's your 5th Anniversary. Aren't you going to blabber your weird wishes in front of me today.? Don't know why but it started to become my habit to listen your rant about it.!

Present Day

Ragini was sitting turning next page when her phone ringed. She put dairy on the table and headed inside the room. She smiled to see the person calling her. She picked the call and an excited voice came from the other side.

Shekhar (excitedly)- Happy Birthday Princess...!!

Ragini (with a small smile) - Thank you baba.

Janki- Ramta(in unison, hollered ) - Happy birthday Ragu..!!

Aarav (shouted joyfully)- Happy Birthday Bhabs..!!

Ragini - Thank you Maa, Mom-Dad, Aarav. Why are you all awake this late..? You can wish me in the morning too.

Sujata (smiling widely)- No, we wanted to make your birthday special as Sanskaar is with you on your birthday after a long time.

Her smile faded as she thought about it. Yaa he is with him yet very far away.

Janki(cheerfully) - Did he wish you already..?

Ragini(with a sad smile) - Hmm..!!

Ram(grinning) - Did he make the cake, which he used to make every year on your birthday ?

She nodded with glassy eyes but realized they can't see her.

Ragini - Hmm..!!

Shekhar (in a serious voice) - Where is he, Princess..??

Her breath hitched as she got the seriousness in his father's voice. She held herself from crying in front of them.

Ragini(stuttered)- Wo..Baba..he...He..

The atmosphere of the other side calmed down immediately as soon as they heared her words.

Janki(concerned) - Ragu..?? Where is Sanskaar ?

She put her palm on her mouth to hold herself from crying.

Sujata (Worriedly) - Did he leave you this time too..??

All they got the silence and shekhar boomed furiously.

Shekhar(angrily) - I should never trust him with my Princess.

Ragini (controlling her emotions) - Baba, he is here only. (she placed her hand on her heart with a sad smile) Where will he go leaving me..? (came outside and looked at the decoration) He was busy preparing for my Birthday and forget to order something to eat.(pretending annoyed) I told him to let it be, But he said how can he leave me hungry on my birthday. So he left to bring something for us.(looking towards the door) He will come soon. I know, he will come soon. (shook her head) Till then I will show you what all he prepared for me, Wait let me video call you guys.

She run towards the washroom and washed her face, exhaled a deep breath and tried to smile looking into the mirror. She took her phone and dial Shekhar's number.

Ragini (to herself) - You can do it, Ragini.

Everyone's face shows on her mobile screen and she gave them a bright smile.

Ragini (cheerfully) Hello everyone.

Everyone took a sigh of relief to listened her cheerful voice and she showed them all the decoration and preparation Sanskaar did for her birthday. She put her all effort to make sure they didn't find her miserable behind her wide smile. She bid them bye saying she will talk to them in the morning, now let her spend time with her husband. Everybody laugh at her demand and bid her goodbye, wishing her Happy Birthday one more time. She cut the call and collapsed on the floor sobbing uncontrollably.

Ragini - I am soory Maa-Baba, Mom-Dad. That I lied to you all. I am sorry.

Sanskaar who was sitting outside the gate and came when he heard her cheerful voice looked at her heartbroken. How can he do this to her..!! He looked at her dejectedly. How can he be that pathetic to make the love of his life miserable..? His eyes were red and his veins were showing from both sides of his face as he controlled his emotions. All he wanted to embrace her in his arms but he knows, she needs some time now. But seeing her on floor wailing continuously, he couldn't stooped himself and rushed towards her wrapping his arms around her, engulfing her in a tight hug.

She stiffened and tried to depart herself but he tighten his grip around her.

Sanskaar - I am Sorry Ragini. I am so sorry. Please don't cry. I can't see you like this. It broke my heart everytime I saw you with tears in your eyes. Please...hit me , punish me but don't cry, please...Ragini...Please.

His own tears were continuously falling from his eyes but he kept caressing her back, pleading her not to cry.

She too wrapped her arms around her and cried her heart out. Don't know for how long they stayed in the same position. He felt her sobs falls down and looked t her sleeping in his embrace. he picked her in his embrace and took her into their room. His heart broke to see her tear strained face.

Sanskaar (holding her hand) - I promise you Ragini, That I will do everything to bring that smile on your face again. (kissed at the back of her hand) I love you Ragini, I love you so much. I was stupid to not realize it soon and I will do anything to compensate that mistake.

He was about to go and cover the sheet upon her, When he felt the tug on his and and looked at her who was holding it in her sleep. He came near her to took it away when he heard her mumbling in her sleep.

Ragini (in her sleep) - Don't call my Sanskaar stupid.

And a small smile appeared on his lips.
