Part 18
Surprise!!!
I couldn't stop myself.... You all were really persuasive.... So here we go...
Continued...
The grand hall was suffocating in its silence, the kind that pressed against the chest and made the air feel heavy....
Haseena stood near the center of the room, speaking with a few officers in hushed tones....
Being a female officer, Karishma Singh took Garima to police station for further legal processes....
Anubhav noticed Haseena who seemed lost.... Worried maybe but the question was why??? What was bothering her so much???
Haseena felt someone's heated stare on her.... She looked in Anubhav's direction, who was standing far away from her but Anubhav was quick enough to look at the floor beneath Haseena's feet....
Feeling dejected Haseena's eyes moved towards Amar who was still busy in taking Raj Malhotra's statement....
Anubhav, standing at the far end of the hall, caught an unsettling movement in his peripheral vision.....
A slight tremor.....
He froze, his heartbeat spiking as his instincts flared.... His gaze shot upward.... The chandelier—massive and ornate—was wobbling, its heavy crystals trembling as though the weight of its grandeur was suddenly too much to bear....
And then, a creak..... A snap....
Time fractured into slow-motion....
Anubhav: Ms. Mallik hatiye....
His voice tearing through the silence, filled with raw urgency....
But the seconds stretched, and his body was too far away.... The chandelier was already in freefall.... Haseena turned just in time to see it plummeting toward her.... But she was just too stunned to react....
Amar, who had been standing just a few behind Haseena, reacted with lightning speed.... He rushed forward, grabbing Haseena and pulling her to the ground, shielding her from the falling debris....
With a violent crash, the chandelier shattered on the floor, scattering glass across the room in a jagged spray.....
The room erupted into chaos, the shouts of terrified people blending with the sound of glass shards skittering across the floor.....
Anubhav's heart pounded in his chest, his focus entirely on Haseena..... Amar hovered protectively over her, his body tense with the weight of what had almost happened..
Amar: Aap think hai???
His voice was strained, but there was no mistaking the relief in it.
Haseena nodded, still disoriented, her hand pressed against his chest..... It took Haseena a moment to realize her position, she was lying beneath Amar her face nearly touching his neck....
Amar sensed Haseena's thoughts and being a gentleman he is, he quickly got up forwarding his hand to Haseena to help her stand....
Haseena stood up and looked towards Anubhav fearing that he might feel offended seeing her with Amar in that position....
But Anubhav wasn't bothered about it he just seemed worried.... Haseena found hr eyes locked to Anubhav's dark brown ones for a few seconds....
Until Anubhav broke their eye contact by averting his gaze.... For him the guilt was too much to bear.... All this was happening because he went to that village to find his father's friend, the only person alive who was on that mission, only man who knew what happened to his father on that mission....
His gaze snapped upward once more....
A figure, clad in black, his face obscured by a hood, was vanishing around the corner of the balcony....
Without a second thought, Anubhav sprinted toward the staircase, his long legs eating up the distance ....
Haseena grabbed Amar's wrist, pulling him toward the stairs.....
Haseena: Hume usse pakadna hoga....
Anubhav was already halfway up the stairs, ignoring everything but the shadowy figure disappearing into the upper floors.
Amar and Haseena rushed up the stairs, their footsteps echoing loudly against the marble as they chased after Anubhav..... The figure ahead of them moved with unnatural speed, disappearing into a narrow hallway at the end of the corridor.....
As they turned the corner, they were suddenly hit by an unnatural wall of fog..... It materialized out of nowhere, thick and suffocating, swallowing them whole. ....Haseena gasped, her breath catching as her eyes watered and the mist clouded their vision.....
Amar: Yeh sab kya ho raha hai???
Amar covered his mouth and nose with his jacket but Haseena couldn't find her dupatta to cover her face....
Anubhav: Aap dono yaha kya kar rahe hai???
Haseena: Ludo khel rahe hai.... (Coughing slightly) Aap khelenge....
Anubhav: Neeche jaiye Ms. Mallik.... That's an order...
Haseena: Hum abhi off duty hai sir.....
Amar: Aap dono ladna band kijiye please.... Uss insaan dhundhne ka try karte hai
All off them were speaking with difficulty as the fog was not only suffocating making their eyes burn, but it even made throats ache....
Anubhav's figure was barely visible through the fog, but Haseena could just make out the silhouette of the figure ahead, moving faster, trying to escape.....
Anubhav was determined.... He was closing in on him, his instincts narrowing in on the person in front of him, but the fog made it nearly impossible to see anything clearly.... He pushed forward, his gun raised, his breathing steady despite the rush of adrenaline.....
And then, he saw the figure through the haze—just for a moment..... The person in hood turned, sensing Anubhav's approach and hit Anubhav's shoulder hard making him groan in pain and stumble backwards into Haseena....
Without wasting another second the person ran forward.... But Anubhav too was swift enough to grab his gun and shoot....
BANG!
The shot rang out, cutting through the fog......
The figure made a muffed noise in pain, as if he was keeping a hand on his mouth to not scream, his leg jerking as the bullet struck, but he didn't fall.... Instead, with a surprising burst of energy, the figure launched themselves toward the edge of a huge window—over it, and out of sight.
Anubhav rushed forward, trying to make it to the window in time, but it was too late. ....The figure had already disappeared—leaping over the edge, disappearing into the darkness below......There was no sign of him....
Haseena and Amar arrived just as Anubhav stepped forward, his face taut with frustration..... His eyes scanned the area, searching for any trace of the figure.
Anubhav: Bhag gaya....
He muttered under his breath, a hint of fury creeping into his voice.
Amar looked around, eyes sharp.
Amar: Yeh koi socha samjha plan tha Sir.... Uss insaan ko yaha ke exit routes ke baare mein bahut acche se pata tha....
Anubhav glanced at Haseena, his jaw tight. For a brief moment, he was caught between the urgency of the pursuit and something deeper—a concern that flickered in his gaze, but he quickly masked it.... He forced himself to focus....
Anubhav (to Haseena): Aap thik hai????
His tone more clipped than usual, though there was an underlying current of care beneath the surface....
Haseena nodded, her face pale but composed.....
Haseena: Hum thik hai....
She stood up straighter, brushing herself off, a mix of determination and wariness in her eyes.
Haseena: Aap thik hai???
Anubhav didn't respond immediately. Instead, he checked the balcony's edge, the area below, his mind racing through the possible routes of escape.... The fog was clearing, but the mystery deepened with each passing second.....
Amar: Chinta mat kijiye sir hum log usse pakad lenge.... Humne abhi iss area mein duty daine wale constables ko message kar diya hai.....
Anubhav: Voh ik aurat thi.....
Amar: Aur lefty bhi....
Amar looked at Haseena as she was not responding and saw her looking at Anubhav's shoulder which had a blood stain on it....
Amar: Sir aapke kandhe se toh khun aa raha hai....
Anubhav: Kuch samay pehele yaha hume chot lagi thi bas shayad aaj ke din ki bhagdod mein voh ghaav phir taaza ho gaye....
Anubhav briefly looked at Haseena whose eyes were filled with guilt and concern....
Amar: Aapki issi chot ko dressing ki zarurat hai sir
Haseena: Hum dressing kar dete hai Sir....
Anubhav: Aap log chintit na ho iss tarah ke ghaavo ka illaj hum akele hi karte aaye hai aur aage bhi akaele hi kar lenge.... Aadat hai hume....
Haseena paused for a brief moment, catching Anubhav's eye. For just a fraction of a second, there was a flicker of something between them.... Something unspoken..... Something heavy and thick as the air around them....
Anubhav, though focused, seemed to sense it too, his posture just slightly less rigid as their gazes locked..... But it was gone almost as quickly as it appeared.
Anubhav: Chalte hai yadi uss vyakti ke vishay mein jaankaari mile toh hume tatkaal prabhaav se suchit kar dijiyega....
Amarseena: Jai Hind Sir...
Anubhav: Jai Hind...
Anubhav went away letting that person go but one thing was very clear to him.... This was far more complicated than what it seem to be and the chase was far from over....
Haseena saw Anubhav retreating and simultaneously felt a pang of sadness and guilt in her heart....
Why couldn't her life be simple for once???
Why did she shot him without inquiring enough about his case???
She came back to reality when Amar spoke...
Amar: Haseena hume lagta hai aapko sir ke peeche jaana chahiye....
Haseena looked at Amar in shock, wondering why was he saying so....
Amar: Kya??? Aap hume aise kyu dekh rahi hai Haseena.... Sir ke kandhe mein chot lagi hai unhe car drive karne mein takleef hogi....
Haseena was about to speak something when Amar spoke again....
Amar: Ab yeh mat puchna ki hum kyu nahi jaa sakte.... Hum jaante hai ki aap unhe pasand nahi karti par sach kahe toh agar Bunty ghar pe akela na hota toh hum khud chale jaate.... Hume notice kiya hai ki sir aaj shaam se hi kaafi disturbed lag rahe hai.... Appko ik baar jaana chahhiye....
Haseena simply nodded, a sense of urgency pushing her toward Anubhav..... She regretted allowing her jealousy to cloud her judgment, preventing her from uncovering the emotions and secrets hidden in the silence he so carefully guarded.....
***
Haseena reached on time only to find Anubhav searching his pockets for the keys....
Haseena (Showed him a bunch of keys): Inhe dhundh rahe hai???? Raaste mein gir gayi thi jab aap bhag rahe the....
Anubhav: Humari gaadi ki chabi hume de dijiye Ms. Mallik....
Haseena: De denge par humari ik shart hai.... (Anubhav was about to speak something but Haseena continued) Hum aapko aapke ghar taq chodenge....
Anubhav: Uski koi avashakta nahi hai Ms. Mallik hum svayam chale jayenge....
Haseena: Aise kaise.... Aapke kandhe pe lagi hai.... Phir aap bhi toh hume hospital leke gaye the na jab hume lagi thi toh-
Anubhav: Humne voh sab iss liye nahi kiya tha Ms. Mallik taki aap humara ehsaan chuakye.... Voh sab apni khushi ke liye kiya tha....
Haseena: Yahi toh problem hai Anubhav.... Aksar log kehna kuch aur chahate hai aur saamne vaala kuch aur hi samajh leta hai.... Hum ehsaan nahi jata rahe Anubhav bas aapko itna samjhana chah rahe hai ki jis tarah aap humara khyaal rakhna apna haq samajhte hai ussi tarah hum bhi aapka khyaal rakhna apna haq samajhte hai....
Anubhav was about to protest when Haseena spoke....
Haseena: Aur iss mein aap chah kar bhi kuch nahi kar sakte.... Gadi ki chabhi humare paas ha aur hum drive kar rahe hai..... End of discussion.... (softly) Chaliye
Anubhav quietly sat inside the car as he was too much exhausted for the day and this argument would lead them no where.... He knew that Haseena had a right to take care of him moreover somewhere deep down he wanted her to do this..... Not only did was he willing to seek emotional comfort from her but he was actually suffering from physical pain due to that wound....
For a while Haseena just kept her cold hand on Anubhav's warm hand.... A gesture small yet sufficient enough to show that she was there for him....
After almost 20 minutes Haseena broke the silence....
Haseena: Humne notice kiya tha aaj jab aap party mein aayethe tab bhi aapke kandhe mein dard tha.... Aapki yeh chot vapas taza kaise ho gayi....
Anubhav removed his hand from Haseena's hold and looked outside from the window....
Anubhav: Baarish ka mausam hai phir thand bhi ho rahi hai toh-
Haseena grabbed Anubhav's hand and rested it on his thigh....
Haseena: Aapne humari kasam khaayi hai Anubhav....
Anubhav: Hum sach keh rahe hai....
Haseena: Pura sach sunn na hai hume....
Anubhav: Aaj hum kissi kaam se paas vale ik gaav gaye the.... Kaam toh pura nahi hua parantu laute samay hume raaste mein ik ladki milli jiske peeche gunde pade hue the.... Bas unhi se hatha payi ho gayi....
Haseena: Kitne gunde the Anubhav????
Anubhav: Yahi kuch 6-7 log the.... Uss ladki ke jija ne bheje the jo uss se shaadi karna chahata tha....
Anubhav said with a tone filled with disgust and anger.... The sole reason to add this one line was to divert Haseena's mind as he couldn't possibly tell the entire truth....
Haseena's hold on his hand tightened.... Anubhav knew this that she despise the men who cheat.... One of many reasons he chose to use morphed pictures during their sagaai but perhaps it was her love for him due to which she refused to believe-
Haseena: Uss ladki ko police mein jaana chahiye tha....
Anubhav: Uss gaav mein dur dur taq koi police thaana nahi hai.... Aur voh aadmi vaha ka mukhiya hai toh panchayat samiti bhi kuch nahi kar sakti thi....
Haseena: Aise aadmiyon ko jahanum mein jaana chahiye.... Biwi ke hote hue bhi..... (Shook her head)
Anubhav: Chinta mat kijiye humne uss ladki ko Kanpur bhijwa diya hai.... Ik hafte mein uske pita vapas aa jayenge aur voh usse apne saath Noida le jayenge jaha voh kaam karte hai....
Haseena: Par usse agar jaana hi tha toh vaha ruki kyu???
Anubhav: Ghar aa gaya.....
Haseena nodded and pulled the breaks.... Both Anuseena got down and started walking towards the mansion like house....
Haseena: Ik sawaal humare zehann mein kabse ghum raha tha.... Yeh ghar aapka hai??? Humara matlab hume pata hai ki aapka hai par aapne yeh kab liya??? Matlab-
Anubhav (chuckled): Iss mein itna hichchichane ki kya avashyakta hai.... Seedha prashn hai paraantu aap bhi kishoriyon ki bhati seedhi baat puchne mein bhi asahaj ho rahi hai....
Both of them reached till the kitchen where Anubhav took a seat and Haseena went to grabbed a first aid kit from the second drawer....
Haseena started opening his shirt to which Anubhav hesitated by holding her hand....
Anubhav: Hum svyam kar lenge.... Aa.... Aap rehene dijiye
Haseena: Anubhav aap toh aise keh rahe hai jaise hum pehli baar aapko bina dekhne ja rahe hai.... Haath chodiye aur hume apna kaam karne dijiye aap apni baat puri kijiye....
Saying this Haseena resumed her work to open his shirt....
Anubhav: Mission behrupiya ke wakt na keval aapne balki RAW aur IB ne bhi hume gaddar maan liya tha.... Ik mahine taq humare khilaaf search operation jaari raha.... Parantu kuch samay baad jab unhe satya gyaat hua toh unhone apni galti ki bharpayi karne hetu hume yeh ghar aur prmotion de diya.... (Haseena started cleaning the blood around his shoulder using a cotton.....) Promotion humne liya nahi kyuki hume iss tarah se kissi ki daya ka patr bannne ka koi shauk nahi hai parantu seniors ke saame ghar lene ka prastaav hum aswikaar nahi kar sake.....
Haseena simply nodded not knowing what to say..... How can a man so casually say this, so easily bear the pain of distrust from the agency to whom he devoted his life....
Anubhav: Kya soch rahi hai aap??? Yahi ki hum itni saralta se yeh kyu keh rahe hai.... kyuki hume gyaat tha ki aisa hi hoga..... Aapko apne liye izzat aur vishwaas kamane mein saalo lag jaate hai parunn sab ko tut ke bikhar jaane mein pal bhar ka bhi samay nahi lagta..... Hume gyaat tha ki jo hum karenge usske yahi parinaam honge-
A pained hiss escaped Anubhav's mouth as Haseena's fingers brushed against the tender wound on his shoulder..... The sound was raw, jagged, and it sliced through the quiet air like a blade. She froze, her heart seizing at the sound of his distress.....
His body tensed under her touch, every muscle locking up as though trying to hold in the pain, but the effort only made it worse..... His breathing quickened, shallow and erratic, the weight of the pain flooding through him with every breath....
She could feel it in her own chest—this desperate, aching tension between them..... The wound, the one she had caused only days ago in a moment of misunderstanding, was now painfully reopened..... It seemed the weight of their past, their fractured trust, had followed them into this moment, the physical injury an echo of the emotional one..... Haseena's fingers trembled as she hovered over the raw, bloodied skin, her mind reeling.....
Haseena: Anubhav.... I'm so sorry....
She whispered, her voice barely audible, thick with guilt.... Her eyes searched his face in mirror, desperate for some kind of sign, but his expression was a complex mix of pain and restraint.....
He was trying so hard not to show how much it hurt.... Trying to be strong.... For her, maybe.... For both of them....
Anubhav: Iss mein aapki koi galti nahi thi.... Hum hi gaddar the.... Aapne toh bas apna farz nibhaya hai....
He rasped, his voice hoarse, a tightness that was equal parts pain and pride in it.....
The words stung.... The implication that somehow this was all his fault—she could hardly bear to hear it..... But he had to believe that.... He had to distance himself from the hurt.... Just as she had to distance herself from the guilt that was threatening to drown her....
Haseena's heart twisted, torn between the need to fix things, to somehow make it better, and the overwhelming knowledge that this was more than just a physical injury..... This was about trust.... Trust that had been broken and now, with each touch, felt like it might break again.
Haseena: I'm sorry....
She repeated, this time with more weight in her voice..... Her eyes were brimming with something unspoken—something that had been building up since the moment she saw his wound and realized what she had done..... She wasn't sure if it was guilt, regret, or something deeper still, but it consumed her now.....
Haseena began to carefully clean the wound, the antiseptic biting at his skin, the smell sharp in the air..... Anubhav winced, his jaw clenching, but he didn't pull away. The silence between them was thick, heavy..... Haseena could feel the tension in every brush of her fingers against his skin, but she couldn't stop now..... He needed this, and so did she.....
Each movement was slow, deliberate..... She had to be gentle—too much pressure, and he would flinch, his muscles too tense from the pain..... The blood, already smeared on his shoulder, made it worse..... The wound had reopened..... She didn't want to make it worse still, but the healing, the soothing, had to happen.....
As she finished applying the dressing, she paused for a moment, her breath trembling.....
Haseena could see the exhaustion in Anubhav's eyes, the way the corners of his mouth tightened in restraint, but there was something else there too—a quiet, almost imperceptible vulnerability.....
Haseena's heart broke..... She wanted to fix everything, all the wrongs, all the hurts..... And in this moment, with her fingers still trembling from the weight of what she'd done, she didn't know how to make it right.....
Without thinking, she came forward, facing Anubhav and carefully wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into a tight, wordless embrace.....
She felt his breath hitch in surprise, but then he sank into her hold, his body going rigid for a heartbeat before he exhaled a long, slow breath, as though releasing a burden he'd been carrying far too long.....
Haseena : I'm sorry....
Haseena whispered again, her voice breaking this time, as her arms tightened around him.
Haseena: Hum aapko chot nahi pahuchana chahate the....
His shoulders shook slightly against hers, but he didn't pull away..... He just... let her hold him.....
For a long moment, neither of them spoke..... They didn't need to..... The weight of everything hung between them, thick as fog, but in that moment, they shared something that was more than just the physical injury—the wound on his shoulder or the one in their hearts.....
It was raw, fragile, but it was real.....
Anubhav's voice was barely a murmur when he spoke again, his words carrying a quiet strength even as the pain still lingered.....
Anubhav: Hume gyaat hai.... (Tightening his hold) Parantu phir bhi aapne kiya aur hum chah kar ke bhi iss dard ko bhula nahi pa rahe hai.... Parantu hum sach mein yeh sab bhul jaana chahate hai....
His voice trailed off, the rest of the sentiment unspoken but clear.
The silence that followed was not uncomfortable..... It was as though, for once, the space between them was just a space for healing—slow, painful, and uncertain—but shared.....
Haseena clung to him for a little longer, willing the heaviness in her heart to lighten, even if just for a moment..... And when she finally pulled away, her face was flushed with both relief and sorrow.....
Haseena: Hum puri koshish karenge Anubhav ki aap iss dard iss takleef ko bhula sake.... Aasaan nahi hoga par phir bhi hum iss mein aapke saath hai.....
Haseena promised softly, the weight of those words settling deep in her chest.
Anubhav didn't answer immediately..... Instead, he simply nodded, his eyes meeting hers with a mixture of exhaustion and a quiet, fragile understanding..... The road ahead wasn't going to be easy, but for the first time in what felt like forever, they weren't walking it alone.....
********
Next morning
Police Headquarters, Lucknow
Anubhav was indulged in his work when a constable came with a bouquet of tulips in his hand....
Constable: Jai Hind Sir....
Anubhav: Jai Hind....
Constable: Sir ik ladki aap se milne ke liye leke aayi hai....
Anubhav: Unhe andar bhej dijiye
Constable nodded, saluted and then went out leaving behind a Anubhav who wondered who was this girl....
Sounds of light footsteps echoed in his cabin and when Anubhav turned around a bouquet of pink tulips greeted his sight....
The girl holding the bouquet started singing....
Girl: Bujh mera kya naam Re nadi kinaare gaanv re..... (She started dancing and circling around Anubhav with her face still covered) Pipal jhume more anganaa Thandi thandi chhaanv re....
Anubhav (Smiled): Aayushi bas bhi kijiye.... Yeh mukhyalya hai.... (Bit sternly)
Aayushi: Aap kitne boring ho.... Anyways, yeh dekhiye hum aapke liye aapke favorite tulips laaye hai.... All thanks to Ms. Mallik varna hume kaise pata chalta ki tulips aapke favorite hai....
Aayushi forwarded the bouquet and Anubhav took it with a smile lingering on his face
Anubhav: Aapko yu itne samay baad dekh ke accha laga..... Aapke bhaiya kiase hai???
Aayushi: Kal raat bhabhi ne jo kiya.... Hume nahi pata tha ki voh bhi inn sab mein apne bhai ke saath involved hai..... Raj bhaiya is just.... Shocked..... Par voh theek ho jayenge
Anubhav: Hmm.... Aur aap??? Aap bhi toh apni bhabhi ke kaafi kareeb thi???
Aayushi: Humara kya hai sir, aaapko yaad hai na ik agent mein jazba ho sakta hai par voh jazbaati kabhi nahi ho sakta.....
Anubhav: Aap ab bhi Bakshi sir ki baato ko liye baithi hai???
Aayushi: Aapne bhi humari training ke time yahi sikhaya tha sir....
Anubhav: Galat tha yeh sab.... Agent bhi insaan hote hai Aayushi unhe bhi bhavnatmak hone ka pura adhikaar hota hai....
Aayushi (Chuckled): Yeh aap keh rahe hai.... Maaf kijiyega sir but a pot cannot say that the kettle is black....
Anubhav: Humne jo kiya aur jo kar rahe hai uske peeche ik wajah hai Aayushi..... Hum majboor the
Aayushi: Ab aaye na aap point pe.... Pichle 2 saal se hum aapko yahi toh samjhane ki koshish kar rahe hai ki uss vakt hume bhi shaadi majburi mein ki thi..... Uss vakt humare alawa aur koi female candidate ready nahi tha jisse Sidharth ke ghar bheja ja sake.... Hum bhi majboor the sir....
Anubhav: Aur aapne ik baar bhi hume batana zaruri nahi samjha.... Yadi aap hume bata deti toh aapko ik varsh taq uss darinde ke saath nahi rehna padta.... Aur yadi hum uss din aapko IVF centre mein nahi dekhte toh hume toh aaj taq pata hi nahi chalta-
Aayushi: Par aisa nahi hua na.... Aur sach kahu toh sirf aapke samjhane ki wajah se hum uss darinde ke changul se bahar aa paye.... Agar aap nahi hote toh- (she shivered at the thought)..... Par aap bhi samajhiye na, hume kya pata tha ki hume jisske paas bheja ja rahe hai voh aisa niklega....
Anubhav spoke nothing..... He knew this was a part of her duty but how could he forget everything.... How could he forget that time, 2 years ago when his brilliant student crying vigorously in his arms.... All due to that monster....
Aayushi: Back on Earth sir... Agar Haseena ko pata chala ki aap unke alawa kissi aur ladki ke baare mein soch rahe ho, toh aap toh gaye.....
Anubhav: Humare liye jaise Karishma Singh hai vaise hi aap hai Aayushi.... Aur vaise bhi hum aur Ms. Mallik ab saath nahi hai....
Aayushi: Jaante hai sir.... Mission pe the iska matlab yeh nahi hai ki Mission Behrupiya ke samay jo hua uske baare mein pata nahi chalega.... But voh sab past tha, ab kya baat hai.... Kyu aap apne aap ko yu takleef de rahe hai....
Anubhav took out those threat letters from his drawer and showed it to Aayushi.....
Anubhav: Avinash uss gaddar ke baare mein jante the jinke karand humare Baba ki mrityu hui par isse pehele ki voh hume bata paate-
Aayushi: Unka murder kar diya gaya... (Still looking at those papers while Anubhav nodded)
Anubhav: Har baar jab hum baba ke katilon ke kareeb jaane ke liye koi kadam uthate hai toh voh insaan Haseena ji pe humla kar deta hai....
Aayushi: Samajh gayi.... Aapko kissi pe koi shak..... Like aapki past ki koi psycho lover types koi ho toh....
Anubhav: Nahi.... Parantu jiss tarah se yeh rasayanshastr (chemistry) ka upyog karke inn khato ko likh raha hai hume lagta hai ki yeh vahi insaan hai jissne humse Mission Behrupiya ke samay voh sab karwaya tha.... Ya phir thi.... Voh ik aurat hai...
Aayushi: You mean to say ki jisse commissioner sir aur unki team ne pakda voh bas ik mohra tha???
Anubhav nods
Aayushi: Hmm.... So being a graphologist mai aapko bata sakti hu ki yeh jo bahar cover pe likha hai na "To my love Anubhav Singh" so cringe.... Anyways so yeh jo likha hai voh AI generated hand writing hai.... Voh tools hote hai na jinse aaj kal ke bacche apne homework printed se written bana lete hai unka use kiya gaya hai.....
Anubhav: Hmm.... Aur kuch???
Aayushi: Yeh andar ka jo draw kiya hai na voh mere jaisa shayad koi lefty hai.... Baaki ik din dijiye hume kal subah taq aapko iss insaan ki puri kundali haath mein laakar rakh denge....
Anubhav: Dhanyawad Aayushi-
Aayushi: Arre aisa ruka sukha thank you nahi bolte.... Thank you toh gale mil ke bolte hai.... Itne time baad mile hai aap....
(Saying this she hugged Anubhav)
Aayushi (emotionally): Thanks to you sir jo aapne hume uss darinde se bacha liya...
But before Anubhav could speak something Haseena voice echoed in his office
Haseena: Yeh sab kya chal raha hai???
Anubhav immediately took a step back and turned around only to see Haseena fuming with anger with an equally shocked Amar standing by her side....
Aayushi (whispered): Aap toh bura phas gaye sir....
It was Anubhav who spoke to break the silence....
Anubhav: Aap yaha???
Haseena: Kal ke case ki file check karane aaye the Sirrr.... Maaf kijiyega aapko disturb nahi karna chahate the....
Anubhav: Aisi koi baat nahi hai Ms. Mallik Aayushi (Haseena narrowed her eyes listening her name..... She never knew that they were on first name basis) Voh toh bas hume dhanyawad bolne aayi thi.... Haina Aayushi???
But Haseena didn't gave Aayushi a chance to speak....
Haseena: Thank you toh hum bhi bolne aaye the sirrr.... Par hume yeh nahi pata tha ki aaj kal anjaan log bhi gale milke thank you bolte hai.... (To Amar) Aapko patta tha???
Amar was dumbfound seeing this side of Haseena.... Never in his life would he talk to is senior in that taunting tone but what made him more astonished was the fact Anubhav wasn't angry at all rather he was explaining himself..... Why on the Earth would he do that??
Meanwhile Anubhav nudged Aayushi to speak....
Aaushi: Hum yaha bas Thank you hi bolne aaye the Ms. Mallik.... In fact, kal jo kuch aapne kiya hume aapko bhi thank you kehna tha...
Aayushi (To Amar and Haseena): Thank you so much aap dono ko.... (To Anubhav) Accha ab hum chalte hai
Saying this she went away leaving behind a still fuming Haseena who was reading the note on the bouquets....
To the one who always knew better,
Thank you for spreading your fragrance in my life making it a better place to live in.
~Aayushi Malhotra
