(Author pov) 

Months passed Manik and Nandini went back to being friends. But for Nandini alone, Manik every time every second the time he spends with Nandini, his love only becomes strong. 

"Manik.. My rats are playing drums in my tummy.. Please come fast. " Nandini shouting lying on the couch in a weird position calling Manik who is busy in the kitchen. 

"Manikk.. 

" Coming.. One second. " He shouted back, she cried rolling on the couch. 

"Here... Fresh yummy biryani. '' Manik exclaimed, keeping all things on table, turned to nandini who pouted at him. 

"Wow!! Me me.. " She jumped to have it. 

"Stop, go and wash your hands. " Manik warned her, she glared at him. 

"Mani.pleade mouth only going to eat.. Why do I need to wash my hands. " She said, looking at the food with shining eyes. 

"How you will eat mam?? By leg.. Go and wash. '' Manik asked sarcastically. 

"What?? " She opened her mouth to feed her. He smiled and served one plate, sat beside her and fed her. 

"Hmmm... " She moan loudly slapped his arms making him whin in pain. 

"You know what, you are an awesome chief. Your future is damn lucky Mani. '' She said excitedly while eating it and didn't realise her words. 

When it comes to food, she doesn't see anything else. 

"You mean you are lucky enough to be my wife. '' Nandini , freezing hearing it, turned to Manik, who gazed at her with love. He smiled and walked away telling her to eat. 

Nandini felt her heartbeat rising, whenever she heard him saying this. Now he doesn't stop himself from expressing his love. He became so open with it. 

She doesn't know why she blush hearing it then scolding him. She touches her cheeks which are hot due to blushing. 

"Ayyappa what is happening now?? Did I start liking Manik?? But he is my childhood friend??" She thought about holding her head, but mood changed after seeing the food. She immediately dug into it. 

Manik chuckled seeing her from the kitchen. 

"Foodie.. " He smiled, admiring her from afar.

"Nandu, you know I don't like parties. " Manik whines like a small kid who doesn't like going to school. 

"Seriously Mani, are you even 21..please come on let's enjoy one night mani.. I got permission after so long scolding from papa and bhai. " She pouted sadly looking at Manik, who glanced at her and the pub, nodding for her happiness. 

"But you shouldn't leave me alone. " Manik said like a baby, nandini laughed and pulled his cheeks. 

"don't worry baby.. Mumma will be with you. '' Nandini teased and pulled her in. Pub was filled with people who were dancing crazily, some drinking, some romancing openly. 

Manik cringed looking around, nandini started shaking her legs hearing the song, pulled manik to the dance floor and started dancing. Manik smiled at her excitement and stood in front of her. Some boys checking out her try to touch her but Manik stood before them, so they stepped back in fear. Maybe he is not fit but his height and eyes scare anyone which he never releases. 

Manik had his attention to protect her which she noticed made her smile at him. She even had drinking alcohol which manik try to stop but who will stop her. 

"Mani pleased.. One more. " Manik glared at her, making her pout. She went to dance again with manik behind to protect her. 

She kissed his cheek, which shocked even her.. Why did she kiss him? Both looked into each other's eyes, moved closer unknowingly. Their hearts beat faster than before. For Manik, she is his love. For Nandini, he is her new found feeling. 

She kept her unsteady hand on his chest, moving closer to his lip.. Manik tries to move back but his heart tells something else. He wants to stay, feel her in his arms, feel her heartbeat, love her.. 

Their lips were inch apart when she was pulled back. Manik got angry and glared at the person, who is none other than Veer, glaring at Nandini pulling her from the dance floor. Manik rushed behind them. 

"How dare you Nandini?? " Veer shouted, holding her hands. 

"Ahh.. Veer.. "

"Leave her hand. " Manik said, holding her hand. 

"I am touching my gf.. You should stay away from her. Veer said glaring at him, Manik took his hand back with a hurt look. 

Nandini who saw this jerked Veer hands, "I said nothing between us weeks before. " 

Veer chuckled, "You shouldn't decide that baby. It's me who will decide when our relationship ends."

Nandini glared at him, said, "I feel so disgusted myself how I like s man like you. Chi.. If a girl doesn't want it then leave her. "

Veer smiled, looked at her and manik, "Stop this drama baby, i know why you doing this? Please stop fooling this poor soul. " 

Manik frowned as Nandini said, "What are you saying? " 

"Oh please I know you are acting with his brothers to send him away from his city, don't you? That only you break up with me now acting you love him right? Sorry trying to love this ugly poor soul. " Nandini's eyes widened hearing it, Manik didn't want to believe his words but seeing Nandini's reaction his doubt confirmed. 

His heart is now completely broken again. 

"No, manik doesn't believe he is telling lies to separate us. " Nandini pleaded in tears, glaring at the veer who smirked. 

He held her by the waist, "Oh it's ok, don't plead. He will understand it, don't you Manik. You know we can't force anyone to love us.. And she loves me.. So please.. " Veer said, smirking , holding her tightly, telling Manik she was his. 

Nandini was about to speak but Manik walked aaya from there. 

"Manik.. Manik.. Please listen... How dare you do this, Veer?? " Nandini shouted while holding his collar. 

"Oh this much anger... For that orphan ugly guy...don't tell me you fallen for him really that **... "

Punch!! 

"Don't dare to speak bad about him.. He is better than you. Chii.. I seriously hate you to the core. Don't show me your face. " She yelled and walked away but stopped by his words. 

"He hates you now Nandini.. You have to come back to me heart broken. I will be waiting. " Nandini gave a disgusted look and walked away leaving a smirking veer. 

He messages someone, "Work done. Your son will hate her now. Transfer the money"

"Mani.. Mani... Please.. " Nandini walked inside his flat with unsteady legs. Her alcohol started doing its job now. 

"Mani.. " She opened her bedroom to see him standing near his window in a dark room. 

"Mani.. I.. 

" Did you lie to be friends with me again?? " He asked straight ahead. She looked down, ignoring her blur spot and rubbing her eyes. 

"I am sorry.. I don't have any way to make you agree.. " She stammered. 

"So you used me.. "

"No please don't say big words.. I am scared to lose you Manik. " She said in tears, hugging him from behind. 

"But you lost me already. " She looked at him in shock, he turned smiling and whipped her tears. 

"Mani... 

" Manik... Can you please leave? I need to sleep. " He said calmly, which scared her. 

"No.. Mani, please don't say that.. Yes I lied but to save you. Cabir bhai said I have to keep you safe from your dad.. I need to convince you to leave from here.. That only. " She cried, explaining everything. 

"Ok I will leave from here. First you go. " He said, looking away, she stood numb. 

"Mani.. "

"Don't say that again." He yelled a little which made her flinch back, "I can't even shout at you, Nandini. I can't see you in tears. It hurts.... That you used my love. I thought when you said you will try to love. But you will never love me.... If you said that time, Manik would leave this city and I could happily. I could do anything you say Nandini, even die. But how could you use my love like others? When you know about me well. " He said in a hurt tone, making her cry. 

"I am so.. 

" Don't your sorry can't make it all ok. It can't heal my love." He turned holding the railing controlling himself. 

"How could I forget that there is no happiness, family, love in my life. ? "

"No manik I love you... I started releasing staying with you only.. Please understand me.. " Manik turned to her, making her stop shouting. 

"Please leave before I do something Nandini." 

Nandini nodded no, she can't lose him. She has hurt him more but at the same time she is slowly releasing her love. He can't push her now. 

"I won't go.... You have to listen to me.. " She said in a drunken voice, walking to him only to stumble on his back. 

He held him to see her drunk, "Go home... You are not in your senses. "

"I am in my sense Manik. If I am normal I can't tell everyone.. I too feel something for you, but before I know it love.. That stupid veer spoiled it.. Please understand me..i want you Manik.. I love you too. " She said looking into his eyes for the first time. She smiled and moved closer to kiss him but Manik turned away, her lips meeting his cheek. 

"Leave Nandini.. You are not ok. " He said walking away, but pulled back by her. 

"I am fine.... Mani.. Look at me. " She cupped her face but it's difficult.. So she pulled him to bed, pushed him and sat on his lap. 

"Nandini.. 

" Shh.. Finger on lips.. First listen to me. " She said like a strict teacher keeping a finger on his lips, "Yes I lied to you, not to hurt you manik.. I want to save you like Cabir bhai told me. I can't see you in pain. And you have brought a stand for yourself manik.. Then only you can save your mother and Avi. Your father is coming soon.. Before that you need to leave far away... So you be safe. I was scared... Bhai said he joined the mafia.. What if you join tol?? I can't see the killer Manik.. I will hate him.. So only I lied...." He looked at her with tears, she licked her lips and whipped her tears. 

"I know you are hurt.. But I will do whatever you say.. But manik don't push me away from you.. Please.. I can't take it... I realised I can't live without you. I can't..... I too feel so bad to lie to you.... Believe me even I try to hurt myself for hurting you... I am stupid, idiot I don't deserve you... But it's ok.. You love me.. So I know you adjust with my stupidity. " She said, looking at him with a puppy face, making him smile.. Who looked away hiding it. 

"I need you... I want you to protect me, scold me for my stupidity, pamper me like always, care for me, make me happy, bare my mood swings... " She said leaning closer to manik who was gazing at her face with love, "Love me... Until I die.. " Her words cut when Manik cupped her nape and pulled her into a deep passionate kiss.

Nandini immediately response circling her hand around his neck. Both suck each other lips, nandini pushed him slowly on bed without breaking the lips. Manik hands travelled down held her  bare waist tightly which seen due to her crop top. Both broken the kiss due to lack of breathe joined their forehead breathing heavily. Nandini started kissing his eyes, nose, cheeks, and travelled down to his neck. Manik tried to stop her drunken state but Nandini held his hand and circled it around her waist. 

'You want her right..' Manik mind thought

'Yes' heart said. 

'Then being innocent is a waste. All take advantage of you. Make her your forever manik.. Then she can't stay away from you' manik brain controlled manik completely. 

"Nandu.. You are not in your senses.. So please stop. " Manik said, pulling her away beside him. 

Nandini pulled him above her holding his collar, "I am sober enough to know about what is happening.. Please don't spoil it.. Love me.. " She said, kissing him again.

That is Manik taken over. He was waiting to take his love in his arms forever, by his love. But knowing all about taking advantage of it, his mind started thinking all in different ways now. 

If he makes her his, she won't back off from now. 

It's not wrong, he didn't force her right. He loves her, she is always ok with it. Then...

Both dresses soon touched the ground, Manik's eyes admired the beauty of her, and the possessive took over him.. He will be her first and surely her last. He showered her whole body with his kiss and hickey which she loved and lay down in pleasure and pain. The moon witnesses their love making, the wind blesses them with happiness.... And both unknowingly sealed each other's fate that night. 
Their life is going to be filled with less happiness for now... It will be more pain, anger, betrayal etc

Which these two poor souls don't know.

Next morning

Manik caresses her hair and admires his love who is playing with his finger humming her own song. 

Her eyes went to his wounds on his body, caressed it. 

"Mani.."

"Hmm

" Will you promise me something? " She asked. 

"Anything angel. " He smiled, and Nandini got on her stomach facing him. 

"Don't let your father break you again Mani. " His face changed into serious, "He is trying to control you like he always does. But you have to prove him wrong.. That he can't control you. If he is your father, then you are his son.. Who can take more steps ahead of him? If you are strong only you can save your mom and Avi... Will you?? " She said seriously, making Manik nod his head. 

Nandini smiled and pecked his lips, "I think we need to inform my papa and ma first.. About us.. "

"You think she will accept me.. " He asked me to caress her cheeks. 

"Never.. She was so angry that papa brought me here. She thinks Malhotra will do something..like you and your father... But he forgot my manik nowhere like them.. " She said, smirking. 

"Maybe she misjudged me.. But I don't blame her. She loves you alot." Manik said, sitting on the bed covering his lower body. 

"So no need to say to her.. I will plan how to leave this city rhne slowly we will inform her.. Ok" He said, kissing her bare shoulder. Nandini nodded smiling. 

"Get up and bath.. "

"Ahh.. My head is hurting.. " She groaned, holding her head to escape from getting up from ved. Manik rolled his eyes. 

"Stop this drama nandu.. Get up.. " Manik said, nandini nodded no. 

"Then don't blame me.. " He said, pulled her by legs, threw her on shoulder and walked into the bathroom.. Ignoring her shout. 

Door got closed and her shouting soon changed into giggling, moaning, laughing... 

Days passed, both enjoying their time. Leena, Cabir and Arya were so happy hearing it. Nandini said to Raman who first got shocked, warned her to be safe as seeing her happy face he can't go against it. But he knows he has to speak to Raj Malhotra before he does something. 

"Ahh... Nandu stop... Don't run.. " Manik shouted running behind Nandini who jumped here and there like a monkey to escape from medicine. 

"No.. I won't take that yuck.. " She pouted, Manik sighed and sat on the floor holding his head. 

"Without taking this how your fever goes.. " He asked softly yet caring. 

Nandini smiled and went and saf on his lap, showing her cheek. He knew what she was asking, and kissed her cheek. 

"with your love.. My fever goes away. " She said dramatically, making him smile. Kissed her forehead when they heard a sound. Both turned to see the devil standing with the other devil. 

Manik shivering unknowingly stood up holding Nandini's hand who held his for support. 

"Wow!! I see a beautiful couple in front of me.. In my son's house. " Raj said, smirking with Ronit, his brother. 

"Thanks for your compliment. But don't you know you should knock or ring a bell before entering other house. Basic manners. " Nandini said strictly, making both angry. Manik tugged her hands to shut her up. 

But nandini is already so angry at both who spoiled manik's life. 

"Watch your tongue Little girl... You don't know who you are speaking to.. 

" I know who I am speaking to.. The great businessmen Raj Malhotra and Ronit Malhotra, brothers.. And powerful Mafia dons.. '' Both smirked at it, "But I don't care... "

Raj glared at her and Manik who stood silent, "Again I see my son behind women.. First your mother now she... When you are going to stand for yourself my son.. I feel so ashamed. " He mocked Manik who looked down. 

Nandini pulled him front, held his chin up, "Don't bend your head down unless you made a mistake or feel guilty.. You shouldn't bend down before some devils who don't deserve it.. Head up Manik. " She said, strictly making Manik look up. 

"I said I will be with you forever... SO DON'T BE SCARED OF ANYTHING. Nandini smiled, kissed his hand. Manik smiled, looked at his father and Chachu who glaring at them. 

Same time Raman entered who smiled at his daughter but was scared to see his boss ' angry face. 

"Oh did you see your daughter Raman. How did you bring a girl who sleeps around my son for money? " Raman tighten his fist in anger hearing it

"She loves me... And I love her too. Your money didn't come between papa. " Manik said immediately as he couldn't take a word against Nandini who smirked at Raj. 

Raj got angry for the first time in his 21years life when he spoke back. 

"I came here to inform... Next week is your birthday... So be ready to join the mafia.. If I find any mistake or trouble in between.. I don't mind destroying it. " Raj said glaring at Nandini who stood calmly. Both walked out. 

"Papa, did you see?? For this only Amma said don't work under them. " Nandini said angrily. 

"I know but I don't have a choice Nandini...beta.. Please don't do this. They will kill you. Raman pleaded with Nandini to back off from Manik. 

Nandini looked at Manik who was controlling his tears, "Even if I die.. It will be for my mani... So please don't try to divert me papa... '' She said and walked inside leaving Manik and Raman shocked. 

They both know her well, if she decides one thing she will do anything to make it possible.. 

"Please take care of her. " Raman said to Manik who nodded slowly. 

Manik turned to Nandini who stood  on the balcony looking at the sky. 

Flashback ends

Nandini glared at Veer who stood silent. And turned to Raman. 

"Why haven't you left working with Malhotra still? " She asked. 

"Why are you working under him even knowing this much?? " She shouted, making him shiver. 

"I didn't willingly work under them. They forced me too because I know their secret bases of mafia. Before you were born I got to know about it. For you, Abhi and your mother, I will try to resign from my job.. But they got to know about all the information.. They try to kill me. But I plead.. So they left me.. But they asked me to work under them till I die.. Soon you are born, become close to Manik.. They keep blackmailing me by doing all the work. I can't put your mother and my kids in danger, Nandu.. So I kept quiet. They even helped your brother study and yours. Raman said, crying. Nandini felt disgusted that she lived under their money. 

She turned to Manik who, looking down, moved to him ignoring others. He looked at her, "If we were together, then... Why did you change?? Why we're we separated?? Why did you leave me?? " She asked with tears in eyes and angry words. 

Manik gritted his teeth in anger, pulled her closer by arms, "You can ask your dead mother and your father or brother why???.... It's me Or you left me?? Go... " He pushed her harshly and she  fell to the ground. 

Raman, abhi rushed to hold her. She looked at both, "What happened?? "

Both looked at each other in fear and guilt. 

"Papa.. Bhai says something.. " She asked. 

"How they will answer?? You trusted this old man and your brother na.... At Least my father and chachu were devils and showed their real faces. 

But this both played innocent well and killed someone....and even you killed HER. " Nandini was shocked to hear it... Looked at his father who was crying loudly and Abhi. 

"Papa.. I didn't kill anyone right.. What is he saying?? I killed who?? " She asked...
