Veer's POV

I felt her warm lips on me. I was taken Offguard by her gesture. In other circumstances I would kissed her back after all her mere touch reminded me what truly love, care and warmth meant but not now, I couldn't kiss her now because I know her way too well.
She was stressed and in pain.

Uski Khamoshiyon ko main padh sakta tha. Uski muskaan ke piche chupe dard ko mehsus kar sakta tha.

I moved back.

"Sweetheart... As much I would love to do this but please tell me what's wrong.. "

I said and she looked at me with tears in her eyes.

"Please love, tell me.. I am right here.. Your Veer is here.. For you..with you.. Forever. "

I said placing her hand on my heart as I wiped her tears with my other hand.
She immediately hugged me tightly and started crying. I patted on her head gently.

"Bas bacha... Don't cry.. Tell me Kya hua? Is it related to Mayuri.. Did you tell her the truth?Did the game made you do it?"

I asked. She was still in my arms. Her head placed on my beating heart and her hand around my waist.

"I broke her Veer.. I broke my best friend.. My sister's trust.. "

She said crying profusely.

"Nahi Jaan.. Ro mat.. Sach toh samne aana hi tha aur hum jante the ki sach ko samjhne aur accept karne main Mayuri ko time lagega.. "

I said kissing on her forehead.

"I always kept searching for the right time Veer but I didn't realise that aese dil dukhane wali baton ke liye koi right time nahi hota. Jab bhi chupaye raaz khulte hein toh woh beinteha dard se jate
hein.. "

She said crying more and I felt a heaviness in my chest.

"Aaj maine apni dost ko tut te dekha Veer.. Shayad mera alawa koi aur hota na toh woh khud ko sambhal bhi leti par mere khamoshi ne uske rooh main shor macha di. Usse dosti aur pyar par shak karne ko majboor kar diya maine."

She said and I made her face me.

"Bani hum sab insaan hein.. Galtiyan hum sab ne ki hein. Tumhari galati thi Mayuri se sach chupana, tumne usse dard na dene keliye usse sach chupaya, par Mayuri ko phir bhi bohot chot pohouchi aur uski narazgi jayas hein. It's just that sometimes we can't control situations. Tumhare tarah Mayuri se bhi galatiyan huyi hein aur sabse badi galti mujhse huyi hein... "

I said looking down as I was not able to face her.

"Mujhe maaf kardo Bani. Mujhe shayad aur ladna chahiye tha humare liye.. "

I said as tears fell from my eyes.

Bani just kept looking at me for a moment and kissed on my forehead.

"Bohot ro liye humne Veer , abb nahi.. Abb main rona nahi chhahti..main tumhe rote nahi dekhna chahti.. Main bas abb humara sath chahti hoon... "

She said entwining her fingers with mine.

I smiled as tears still kept falling from my eyes.

She came close to me and kissed my tears away. I closed my eyes feeling her soft lips against my skin.

My sweetheart. I will never let anything come between us anymore.

I thought in my mind.

She joined her forehead with mine.
I held her cheek with my right hand and she looked at me.

"Abb mere turn ki bari hein
sweetheart.. "

I said. The moment was beautiful but the reality couldn't be overlooked.

" Nahi.. Abhi tumhari bari nahi.. "

She said slowly.

"Par sweetheart your turn is over.. You said the truth to Mayuri.. That's means I am next.. "

I said.

"Who said my turns over yet? "

She said and I got confused.

" What do you mean..? "

I asked.

"I chose DARE Veer..! "

He said shocking me.

Author's POV

Flashback

Bani saw the opened door and slowly moved towards it. Her legs were shaking with the fear of what would happen now but she tried gaining courage. She couldn't avoid the game and hence she mustered the strength to get inside.
Bani got inside the store room that was filled with old furnitures and boxes. The cobwebs were and dust was all around in the dark room.

It was raining outside and the moonlight was covered with the black clouds.
The room only had a small bulb and Bani went to on the switch.

But as soon as she walked towards the switch, the door closed automatically. Bani's heart start beating fast. She tried to go and on the light quickly but she ended up colliding with something and she fell on the ground.

"Ouch.. "

She whimpered in pain but she tried getting up again to on the light when she heard a voice.

"Baaaaaniiiiii"

Came an ominous voice from below the bed.

Bani was fidgeting her finger with fear as sweat rolled from her forehead.
She went near to the bed and slowly peeked as she saw a pair of legs.

Her reflex immediately made her look up but no one was there.

She again looked back and saw tha pair of legs and as she looked up again no one was standing.

She was really scared now.

For one last time she decided to look down but this time she didn't see anyone.
She sighed and was about to got up when somebody held her hand.

"Searching for me.. "

In front of her was that very same woman she saw earlier. In one hand she had the mutilated body of the bird. Blood was oozing out of it while with the other she had held Bani's hand. Her half face was on display. Her demonic features were very evident.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh....

Bani screamed as Mayuri looking at Something in her laptop immediately got alerted.

"BANI! "

Mayuri screamed from below and started moving upstairs.

While in the store room the woman took out a glass shard from her hand dropping the dead bird and started moving it at an inhumane speed between Bani's fingers.

"What are you doing.. Leave me.. "

Bani shouted as tears fell from her eyes.

"BANI! BANI! "

Mayuri was banging on the door.

"Mayuuuuuuu! "

Bani screamed.

"Wait Jaan.. Nothing will happen to
you.. "

Mayuri went to get something to break the door open. She got a hammer that was lying in the cupboard and started hitting on the door.

Inside the demon continued moving the glass between Bani's fingers.

"TRUTH OR DARE BANI? "

It asked.

Bani took a moment and she knew what she was going to say.

"DARE "

Bani said and at the same moment Mayuri broke the door open.

"DO WHAT YOU DID WITH VEERANSHU ON THE NIGHT AT BEACH 5 YEARS
AGO! "

The satan said with a smirk and slowly her pale skin started becoming normal. Her eyes we're also back to normal.

While Bani was shook with what was just said, in front of Mayuri.

"What am.. I.. Do.. Doing here..?"

The woman asked being shocked.

"You came here.. "

Mayuri said.

"I am.. I am going.. "

The woman said and immediately walked out of the door panicking.
Now only Bani and Mayuri were left in the room.

Aaj Bani ko aesa laga manlo ye Khamoshi usse kha jayegi.

"Come to your room.. "

Mayuri said picking Bani up.

Everything was going to get over now. No! Oh god!

Tears were already forming in Bani 's eyes thinking that.

" Bani.. Jaann.. What did you choose Dare? And what was that demon saying?"

Mayuri asked and Bani felt more vulnerable.

Bani had hidden two truths from her. And both of them were now at the verge of coming out.

One of them being the most deadly. That's why she choose Dare but she could'nt tell her that.

"Mayu the game is two truth, one dare. If I didn't choose Dare.. You guys would have to.. "

Bani said the half truth.

"Bani, how can you be so stupid? Why? Why do you always sacrifice yourself for other? Tune kabhi socha hein agar tujhe kuch hua toh humein kaisa lagega. Main tere bina kaise rahungi. Aakesh, woh toh tujhse pyar karta hein Bani woh toh tut jayega .. "

Mayuri said and Bani kept looking at her.Aakesh was in love with her? Bani didn't exactly know that but at this moment there was more concerning issues to address.

"Aur Veer woh bhi teri care karta hein.. "

Mayuri said holding Bani's hand.

"Mayuri... I have to tell you something.. "

Bani said hesitantly.

" Tell me Bani.. Is it about the dare?And what beach and how is Veeranshu involved in this,that to five years ago?"

She asked and Bani nodded.

Bani slowly gained courage to utter her next words.

"Me and Veeranshu were in the same college during my bachelor's.. "

Bani said and Mayuri looked shocked.

"WHAT? ".

Mayuri asked in shock.

" And we.. We.. "

Bani said as tears fell from her eyes.

" We what..? "

Mayuri asked.

"We loved each other.. "

Bani said as tear fell from her eyes.Bani continued telling the entire story of how they met and how later they got separated. Mayuri didn't say a single word and didn't interrupt her. With every Statement Mayuri 's face showed more lack of emotions. She looked stoic as if she couldn't feel anything.

"Mayu... Mayu.. I am sorry.. I didn't want to hurt you.. You were looking so happy with him. I didn't have the courage to break your heart.. "

Bani said holding her hand and crying but Mayuri didn't say a word.

"Mayu.. Mayu please say something.. Daant le.. Cheek le.. Please par kuch
keh.. "

Bani said crying more.

"What happened on that night on
beach? "

She asked blankly without even looking at Bani.

" Mayu.. See. I didn't.. "

Bani said.

Mayuri repeated herself firmly and Bani had to answer the question.

"We slept together.. "

Bani said looking down as a tear fell on her hand. It was Mayuri 's. She still did not say anything or react but lone tear stained her cheek.

"Mayu.. "

Bani said again. Mayuri got up and started moving outside.

"Mayu.. Mayu where are you going? Mayu please listen to me.."

Bani said trying to hold Mayuri.

" Leave me Bani. If you ever considered me a to be your friend. Just leave me.. "

Mayuri said and Bani left her hand while crying.

"I am going to the place that gives me peace. Where there is no deceit and only love. "

She said blankly.

"Mayu I am sorry.. "

Bani repeated as Mayuri started booking a cab.

"Mayu please.. "

Bani said pleading.

"My cab is here.. "

Mayuri said and started moving.

"Mayu please ek baar meri baat sunli.. "

Bani said.

"Don't you dare call me that! "

Mayuri screamed finally as tears fell from her eyes.

"Don't you dare Bani. I am not your fucking Mayu. I am no one to you. Did you both enjoy playing with my
feelings? ".

She shouted and Bani nodded in denial as tears fell from her eyes.

" Did you both laugh when I made a plan of future with him? Tell me!!! What was my fault? How could you hide this from me? "

She said in pain and anger.

"I did not want to hurt you. "

Bani said.

" Really?You did not want to hurt me by letting me live my life with a person who deceived you?

Mayuri asked.

"I thought he changed.. "

Bani said vulnerably.

" That was not your decision to make Bani. It was mine. It was my life and that decision was fucking mine. Apni mahanta ke naam par kitni zindagiyaan barbaad karogi? "

Mayuri screamed.

"I know I cheated and that was my fault , I know. But did you know why I ended up doing that? Because with Veeranshu I felt inferior. I felt I was filled with flaws. He didn't love me the way he claimed. I might have got my karma Bani but I know that you all will get yours and One day you will sacrifice what you cherish the most. Your fucking morales. "

She said as tears fell from her eyes.

" And one more thing, I got a clue. You can check it in my laptop and try saving lives because thanks to you I don't even want to try saving myself.The game can do whatever shit it wants but I am going to the place that has mine and my Dad's memory.Don't follow me "

She walked out and Bani went and sat near to the fireplace being lifeless.

Veer's POV

"What? I told you to choose truth but still you chose Dare? How could you Bani? "

I asked being heart broken.

Why does she always put herself at risk? Why can't she understand that I would die without her.

" I had two reasons Veer.. "

She said calmly.

" Any reasoning doesn't justify you putting yourself at risk.. Why can't you prioritize yourself for once..?

Tum kyun nahi samjhti ki apni sanson ki mala main maine tumhare naam no piroh diya hein.Kyun nahi samjhti Sweetheart? Kyun?"

I said holding her face as tears formed in my eyes.

" Please Veer listen to me.. "

She said holding my hand.

" My first reason was definitely to save you all from picking the dare but My second reason to hide a truth from Mayuri. A truth which this gane will use against us.. "

She said being tensed.

"What truth sweetheart? "

I asked.

" A truth that will break Mayuri beyond repair. She won't be able to live with that truth Veer. She won't be able to.. "

She said hugging me.

"It's okay sweetheart.. Tumhara jab man kare mujhe tab sach batana... Take your time.. I am always here.. "

I said kissing on her forehead.

" So what's your dare ?"

I asked.

She slowly looked in my eyes with her doe like orbs. Innocent and beautiful.

She moved a little away and sat on the chair.

I bend and sat in front of her.

I held her hands and asked.

"Mujhse batein kehene main jhijhak kaisi Jaan? Main toh tumhara hi hoon.. "

I said kissing on her hand.

" Wada karo pehele ki tum mujhe kabhi chod kar nahi jaoge? "

She asked hopefully.

" Kahan na sweetheart , abb jis din sansein tham jayegi ussi din ye Veeranshu Singhania tumse alag hoga.. "

I said with a smile as she put her hand on my mouth.

"Kya sab bolte rehte ho? "

She said.

" Sach.. "

I said.

"Ab batogi Jaann.. ? "

I asked again.

"The dare is to do what happened.. "

She was hesitant.

" What happened..? "

I said making her continue.

"What happened between us five years ago on the beach.."

She said and for a second my heart paused.

That night. The most beautiful night of life. The night thay intertwined our soul and body. The night that we submitted ourselves to each other completely. The night in whose memory I lived till date. The night that didn't let me look at any woman ever in that way. The night that didn't intoxicated our body and mind.

" I am sorry if you don't want this.. I know this is a dare.. I don't want to use.. "

She was blabbering being nervous when I said.

"I would gladly get used. "

I said with a mischievous tone as she kept looking at me with her insanely beating heart.
