Ok, so I just felt like ranting for no apparent reason. Today was the 45th UAE national day, and it was like party time for the entire country. I live in Sharjah, and even though it's not a city as great as Dubai, the celebrations are just as grand and annoying. Why? There's traffic jam everywhere because of the parade and they keep blowing these annoying party trumpets ALL the time. I really can't sleep!

My school celebrated it two days back though, and it was amazing af. All girls wore abaya ( traditional Arabic over dress for women) and we killed the look. My friends literally destroyed my face by trying to make me blend in. Though I did get an amazing smoky eyes effect in the end and I did look amazing.

Another fact, is that, Dubai looks like some dystopian scifi city. It reminds me a lot of the Capitol in the Hunger Games and freaks the hell out of me. But it's really beautiful, and so I took a picture to show it to you guys.

The picture below is a newly built canal near these tall rising skyscrapers. My dad's office is here, and he sees this view like every morning and never mentions it! So rude!
