"So, are you two officially dating now?" Rory questioned.

"We didn't discuss it," Maddie shrugged. "I hope he'll want to though."

"I think he will," Rory smiled.

The next morning.

"Here's your car," Danny smiled, handing his friend the keys.

"Thanks," Jamie chuckled. "By the way, how was your date with Maddie?"

"It was wonderful," Danny beamed.

"So, are you guys going to start dating?" Jamie inquired.

Danny shrugged. "The topic didn't come up, but I hope she'll want to."

"I think she will," Jamie smiled.

"I hope you're right," Danny sighed. "Well, I best be off to the theater. We are hoping to perform the ballet Romeo and Juliet. We just need a male lead."

"Have fun with that," Jamie chuckled. "I'll call you after bowling."

"Which shirt would look better with these jeans?"

"The black and white striped one," Maddie decided before turning her attention back to her phone. "Hey, did you hear that Danny wants to perform Romeo and Juliet at the theater?"

"No, I didn't," Rory replied, putting on a pair of earrings, "but did he tell you about the masked ball?"

"Masked ball?" Maddie questioned with a little scoff. "How cliché."

Rory shrugged. "I've always wanted to go to one. I like the idea of everyone being masked and getting to dance with some mysterious person you don't know. Many cheesy romances have been started that way."

"If you fell in love with a masked man at this ball, would you date him?" Maddie smirked.

"Maybe," Rory said after a moment of consideration.

"So, you'd date a random guy over Jamie?"

Rory sighed. "Who knows? I have doubts about the fact that Jamie would try in a relationship. You know that. If I met somebody who was different, maybe I would date them. I don't know."

Maddie shook her head with a sigh. "You're a very confusing person, Aurora Lucas."

"Thank you," Rory grinned teasingly, hastily making her way out the front door to meet Jamie.

"And just like that, she's gone," Maddie said aloud to no one. "What am I going to do with her?"

"This car is beautiful," Rory smiled, sitting down in the Lamborghini. "Did you just get it?"

Jamie hesitated. "Yeah, recently."

The pair arrived at the bowling alley soon after and quickly found Jamie's friends.

"Hey, man," Thomas laughed. "It's good to see you without an apron."

"Tell me about it," Jamie chuckled. "Thomas, Cass, this is my friend Rory."

"It's nice to meet you," Cass smiled, extending a hand to our blonde ballerina.

Rory shook Cass's hand. "It's nice to meet you too."

The four bowled two games before deciding to order food. They sat down at the table next to their lane and Rory couldn't help but be a bit jealous over the fact that Jamie had been paying a lot of attention to Cass. "So," she stammered, trying to quickly think of something to say, "have you three known each other for a long time?"

"Cass and I have known each other since preschool," Jamie laughed. "Thomas and I met in high school. We all work at the restaurant together."

"So, Cass and Jamie are old friends," Rory thought. "That's a relief."

"Yes," Thomas smiled fondly, grasping Cass's hand. "Cass and I met at Lombardi's, and we've been dating for about a year now."

"Oh, that's wonderful," Rory said enthusiastically. She felt much better with the knowledge that the attention Jamie was showing Cass was not due to romantic affections.

Thomas nodded in agreement. "By the way, Jamie, when are you returning my Lambo?"

Rory chuckled. "You borrowed the convertible?"

"Maybe," Jamie replied with a sheepish laugh. "It's a cool car, okay? I wanted to see what it was like to drive one."

The group laughed and continued to talk lively as they ate. It was decided that they would bowl a few more games. Rory won twice, which impressed the others greatly.

"I would have never taken you for a bowler," Jamie laughed. "I'm glad you are. Now I have somebody to come here with."

"I'm home!" Rory announced as she walked through the front door of the apartment.

"Hey," Maddie smiled. "How was bowling with Jamie?"

"It was really fun," Rory beamed.
