Chapter 7
"Hey Ren, I see you and four eyes have been hanging out alot lately Huh?"
Minki frowned and looked behind him. Junhoe stood in his leather jacket with a smug look on his face.
"Don't call me Ren, we aren't friends Junhoe."
"You're ignoring the question though. What is Choi Minki hiding?"
"None, of your business. Why are you even here?"
Junhoe shrugged and walked closer to Minki.
"Had to stay behind to catch up on stuff."
"Yeah, right." Minki scoffed looking out the school entrance door. It was pouring harshly and he had no idea how he was to get home.
"So, do you like him?" Junhoe suddenly questioned.
"What? Who? Like who?" Minki frowned confused looking at the other tall boy.
"The blonde four eyes of course."
"Tch, and do you like your red haired elf?"
"Not a good choice for a rhetorical question."
"Wow, you-"
"Anyways, I was going to offer a ride but you kept evading all my questions." Junhoe chuckles.
"Really Junhoe, come on I have no ride."
"Hope you get to see your little blonde lover boy you have taken a liking to. I saw him in the hall earlier." he chuckles opening the door.
"What are you-"
"Minki, I know you. You know that." Junhoe smiles before running out into the rain.
Minki stood dumbfoundedly. The other could've given him a ride seriously..
"Minki?"
Minki frowned and turned around once more. His expression softened as he saw who it was.
"Oh, Minhyun. What are you doing here?" he questions.
"Had to stay behind, talk to a teacher. You?"
"Kind of had detention. Fell asleep in class." Minki brought his hair behind his ear smiling sheepishly.
Minhyun chuckled and shook his head.
"Saw you talking with Junhoe, are you okay?"
"Ah? Yeah, he was just being a butthole." Minki smiled blushing slightly as he remembered what Junhoe had said.
"I see.." Minhyun smiled softly. "It's raining harshly today. You have a ride home?"
"No, actually I'm very screwed." Minki chuckled. "No umbrella, and no coat. My ride is usually Aron but he has an interview today."
Minhyun looked over Minki who was in fact only wearing a pink flannel, black jeans and converses with his leather black bookbag on his back. He looked outside. It was pouring quite hard.
"Okay, here." Minhyun took off his long black jacket and handed it to Minki.
"Here. I don't have my umbrella but you can take my coat at least."
"Wh-What? No, I can't do that?"
"Why?"
"What about you then?"
"I'll be fine, I don't get sick that much really.."
"Um..Still..."
"Oh, I know then."
Minki watched as Minhyun placed one arm inside his jacket then walked towards him extending the coat.
"Slide in."
"Huh?"
Minhyun chuckled.
"Come in. We'll share the coat." Minhyun said simply.
"I, um..."
Minhyun sighed and wrapped his arm around Minki's shoulder, making the coat cover the other.
"There we go. Place your hand in now."
Minki did as told shyly. Minhyun smiled and placed the hood on his head.
"Okay let's g-"
"Wait what about your hair?"
Minki frowned looking at the others blonde hair.
"I'll use my bookbag, no worries." Minhyun smiled putting his bookbag on his head. Luckily it wasn't heavy today and he had left his laptop home.
"Ready now?"
"Y-Yeah." Minki bit his lip.
"Okay, let's run!" Minhyun exclaimed before they ran out into the rain. The rain was quite heavy and Minhyun really hoped no water was reaching Minki. They ran till they reached the bus stop which thankfully was under a clear roof.
"Phew, we made it." Minhyun breathed once they were safe from the rain.
"Right." Minki breathed catching his breath as well. There were no one else at the bus stop. only a few cars and people were passing by. People had been smart to stay home.
Minki looked up at Minhyun and covered his mouth.
"Omo..." he chuckled.
The blonde looked at him confused.
"Eh?"
Minki giggled.
"Your glasses are super foggy, how could you even see?" he chuckled before grabbing the glasses off of Minhyun's face and wiping them off on his shirt.
"Wait, not on your shirt..."
"It's just a water, silly." Minki smiled and placed the glasses on his nose to see if he could see the other clearly.
"Either your eye sight is not as bad as you say or I might need to go see an orthopedic soon." Minki chuckled looking at the other. Minhyun giggled and fixed the glasses on the others face smiling.
"Looks good on you..."
"Oh. Thanks..." Minki bit his lip looking up to Minhyun shyly. He could feel the heat rise up to his ears.
Minhyun stared at the other, his heart begun to race slightly.
"Minki I..."
Minki hummed in response and looked at the other. He blushed seeing how close their faces were. He blinked flustered and looked at the other who seemed slightly confused as his eyebrows furrowed and eyes blink repeatedly.
"Minki, I gue-"
Splash!
"Ah!"
The two boys exclaimed in horror as water splashed all over them. They gasped and tried wiping as much water off them as possibly trying to process what had happened.
Minhyun searched his pockets and found a tissue. He used it to help Minki with his face.
"I'm fine, help yourself." Minki said worriedly.
"No, I'll be fine. Look your hair is totally wet." Minhyun said sadly.
Minki didn't say nothing. He let himself be taken care of.
Minhyun sighed seeing the tissue was no help and looked at the approaching traffic.
"Good, the bus is coming. You're about 5 stops away, my stop us a little closer. Mind coming at my house to dry off?"
Minhyun asks surprising Minki.
"W-Well no." Minki shakes his head. "But I'll need to call my grandmother.
"Of course, make sure to." Minhyun nodded and soon enough the bus was in front of them.
