I woke up to my alarm on my phone screaming. Today, I had the baseball tournament. Thinking a few extra minutes couldn't hurt, I snoozed it. I woke up and it was 7:50. Ten minutes till school started. I cursed under my breath. I wriggled out of my pajamas and put a hoodie, shirt and some jeans on. I stuffed my homework into my backpack and raced downstairs. Since I would be late if I made breakfast, I grabbed some cold pop tarts and raced out the door. I hopped in my car and zoomed down the road towards school. I checked my watch, 7:57. I got to school shortly. I locked my car and raced inside. My watch beeped 8:00. I sighed in relief. I grabbed my homework and ran to my first class. It was a wonderful Friday morning.

The classes passed quickly. My science test was passed back. A C+ wasn't bad. Then a pop quiz surprised me in Algebra. Finally, it was lunch. My "favorite" mystery meat was being served. I call it that because that's what it is. I don't have a damn clue what kind of meat it is. I sat and a table and my friends, Jack, Miles and Franky joined me shortly. Jack is on the baseball team like me. That's what we've bonded over. I met him when we were in little league. However, he has a short temper which is pretty sucky at times. Miles is extremely smart but goofy a lot of the time. He's the smartest in the school. However, he isn't popular due to is appearance as a nerd. Finally, there's Franky. She is a genuine good person. She likes helping people and is pretty sporty. Her kindness sometimes goes overboard though. We talked until we had to go outside.

During break, everyone is separated into groups. There's the cheerleaders, always talking about boys, The jocks, who either are playing football or basketball, the nerds, who aren't as nerdy as you would think, then there's the bad kids who smoke on the other side of the building. My group consists of my three friends. We just talk.

School passed quick and soon it was time for baseball practice. I changed into my uniform and we started practicing. We did drills and ended with a scrimmage. Each time I stopped at a base, I would look at Trent Kaden. He was the star of the football team and the person who I currently had a crush on. I was running to home base when some ball hit me in the head and I fell onto the ground. I saw blurred outlines of my teammates. After a bit, my vision cleared and I saw what had hit me, a football. I then saw Trent hopping over the fence to get it. I blushed as he picked the football up." Nice catch!" Trent joked, walking away with his football. I got up and we finished our game. I tried to act all cool about the football incident but I couldn't shake the feeling of being a joke. I walked out to my car and I pulled out and drove home.

As I walked into my kitchen for a snack, I saw a note on the fridge.

       Dear Alexander,

I am in Harrison City tonight and I will not be here till 12 pm Tomorrow.I'm sorry I hope you understand

I sighed and grabbed some instant noodles. After making the noodles, I texted Jack that my mom wouldn't be home. He urged me to have a party. I said no. After no reply, I heard a knock on the door. It was Jack. I sighed and let him inside. He grabbed some pop up tables from my garage and set them up. He grabbed bowls, chips and soda and set those all out. I laughed watching him setting up this party. After hooking his phone up to some speakers, Jack declared himself done. Soon, people were arriving. I quickly ran upstairs and locked my room. If people were gonna be lovemaking, it wouldn't be in my room. After coming downstairs, the party was in full swing. The music was blaring and people were dancing. I saw someone had brought some alcohol." Great!" I thought." More weird people trying to bang me!" I slunk over to the snack table and munched on chips. I then saw the first couple go upstairs. We had two guest rooms, so......... it was awkward. After a bit, I tried going upstairs but here were too many people. I grabbed a pillow and a couple blankets from the couch and set them up under the snack table. After a while, the party calmed down but everyone was still there. Soon, I fell asleep.

I woke up with someone passed out next to me. I jumped back. That woke him up. He then walked out the door. I got up and saw quite a few stragglers asleep in various places. I woke everyone downstairs up and shooed them out the door. Then, I went upstairs. I banged on each door. A couple came out of the bathroom. Two other couples came out of the others. I wasn't surprised to see Jack come out of a guest room. Always the player.

"Do you remember anything?" I asked jokingly.

"I was wasted!" Jack returned, putting his arms in the air.

I laughed and pat him on the back. I cleaned up the house and organized everything for my Mom's return. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. I opened it up and it was my mom. I gave her a hug and she came in.

"It's good to see you sweetie!" My mom exclaimed, giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"It's only been a day," I told her.

"It feels longer. Anyway, I have a surprise!"

"What is it?"

"I'm gonna be away this summer, so you're staying with your aunt and she signed you up for lifeguard training and swim team!"

My mouth was wide open. Luckily, my aunt lived in town, but swim team and lifeguard training. I tried to say no but she wouldn't hear it. I sighed and went up to my room. After locking my door, I heard my mom say," Why is there a condom in the guest room?"
