You are a ticking bomb.
I didn't know that when we first met.
You seemed harmless.
I ignored all silent warnings.

Your time suddenly sped up,
Threatening to explode.
I give up my time
To stop your destruction.

Tick

I have to tip toe around you.
One wrong move
And you might explode
Destroying everything I hold dear.

I try to stop...
No I tried to delay
Your impending explosion
And my impending doom.

I sacrifice my time.
I sacrifice my health.
I sacrifice my hair.
I sacrifice my life.

Author's note:

This poem is actually based on one of my own personal experiences and emotions. I'm all better now but this was during a period of time when I was at my worst in terms of mental health. Yesterday was a... particular day when all these bad memories came flooding back so I was inspired to write this today during one of my classes.
