Kendra was soon on the Hogwarts express, waving goodbye to Emmeline and Nicolas.

"Have fun-" Emmeline yelled after her, running with the large train. "Don't get in trouble-be nice-write to us-" She yelled, now taking deep breaths of air as she ran, struggling to keep up.

Kendra was waving furiously back to her parents as they grinned with sorrow and relief.

"First year," She muttered under her breath as she plopped down on the red cushioned seat next to her. "First year at Hogwarts."

The trolley Witch was passing by now fro her second time.

"Anything from the trolley dear?" She said with a small smile forced on her face. 

"No thanks." Kendra said holding up a small bag of Bertie Blotts Every Flavor Beans.

"I would like one please!" said a girl running from a compartment behind Kendra. 

"Okay, here. Take them all. I'm not hungry anyway." 

"What's you'r name by the way?" The girl said taking the sweet candies.

"Oh. Kendra, Kendra Boardman. And-"

"Mine is Olivia. Olivia Kayten." Olivia held her hand out for greeting but was interrupted by Marge McGonagall.

"Hi Kendra! Oh and I see you met Olivia too?" She nodded to Olivia who had a look of hatred on her face.

"Yes. I have." Kendra looked into the fogged up window while the others sat down.

"So... How are we all today?" Kendra looked up, hoping to see Hogwarts but instead she saw a mountain.

"Fine. And you Olivia?" Kendra nodded to her.

"Oh I guess I'm okay. The thing is-"

"We don't want to hear you'r life story Olivia, we just wanted to know how you are." Marge sighed as Kendra looked at her with curiosity.

"What happened to you two while I was gone?" Kendra stared at both of them with curiosity and annoyance.

"Sorry Kendra. We-we-well it was-I just kind of got-and-yeah." Marge looked down at her feet in shame.

"She tried to look at my book and I used a body binding curse on her. Easy" Olivia said looking at Marge. 

Marge looked down at her feet once again. "Sorry. I just thought it looked cool and I touched it and things happened and I got really mad and I thought of you and I started crying and before I knew it I was put in a body bind." Marge sighed in relief as if she was holding that in all day.

"Oh! Were here!" Olivia exclaimed as she clapped her hands together.

A wave of relief rushed over Kendra as she exited the train skidded to a halt much like the car her father drove.

Memories washed over her and she stood up abruptly, ready for what was lying ahead of her.

A giant man rose from behind a hill and came tottering towards them.

Kendra almost decided to run but the giant man spoke. "'Ello there! My name 's Hagrid!" His beard ruffled as he spoke and his hair waved behind his back as he walked.

"Well, Follow me." 

"Won't we be going with the other students or are you just leading us to drown in that lake?" Kendra couldn't believe what she just said. "Oh no, oh no. I-I'm so sorry. I just-"

"No. It's 'kay. I 'ave students like 'hat 'evry year." Hagrid looked down on them. "Well, come on!"

The students were soon near the door to be stopped by a cat that looked like it was strangled. 

After the cat came a grumpy looking old man. "Aah. Come back here!" He yelled as he chased after the scrawny looking cat.

"Well then, 'ere's  McGonagall." Hagrid said proudly. 

Kendra knew already because she was friends with Marge McGonagall (the granddaughter of Minerva McGonagall).

McGonagall walked in front of the students who were all very nervous. 

"Welcome to Hogwarts." She started in a nice smooth voice. "Now, in a few moments you will pass through these doors and join your classmates, but before you take your seats, you must be sorted into your houses. They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Now while you're here, your house will be like your family. Your triumphs will earn you points. Any rule breaking, and you will lose points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup." 

The first years glanced at each other shakily. 

"Off you go!" She stated as the doors of Hogwarts opened.
