Kendra walked slowly outside.
The glass door's handle was birch wood, along with everything else in the room.
"Hurry up dear," Emmeline yelled after Nicolas, who was dragging behind, with all Kendra's luggage. "Are you sure you've got all that? You look like you could use some help." Emmeline said, offering him her hand.
"No, no. I'm quite fine," Nicolas replied in a struggling voice, making his way out of the door, leading the way. "Thank you."
Kendra was quick to enter the car, even before Emmeline had got out of the door.
Soon, everybody was in the small blue car.
Fukuro was hooting furiously, in the back seat with Kendra.
"Shush Fukuro," Nicolas said in a stern voice. "You'r going to ruin the whole trip for us if you keep that up." After he said that, Fukuro went silent.
Everybody in the Boardman family knew, Nicolas was the head of the house, and if you got in trouble, he would punish you.
After an hour of driving, Nicolas's feet were getting tired, so Nicolas decided to take a break.
"But where are we going to stop?" Emmeline interjected, as Nicolas was getting ready to pull away from the road. "There simply no where to go. It's all roads from here on. We'll just have to make it to Diagon Alley. If you want, I could even-"
"No," Nicolas interrupted Emmeline.
Everything went quiet. "We are going to take a break. I know where to go Emmeline." Nicolas hated arguing, but even more, he hated being wrong.
Kendra sat in the backseat looking at Nicolas, then at Emmeline, then back to Nicolas.
"Hey, don't we-" "No. We will do what I say." Nicolas said firmly, interrupting Kendra.
The rest of the trip was silent until a loud screech came from Fukuro.
Everybody turned to look at Fukuro to see what was wrong.
"Fukuro?" Kendra said, looking at him with worried eyes. "Are- are you okay?" She tried to reach over to unlatch the cage, but Fukuro started pecking at her fingers repeatedly, and they started to hurt.
The screeching stopped, and Nicolas pressed down on the pedal, but this time slower.
"What was that?" Kendra asked Nicolas who was a healer.
"I don't know," He said in a worried voice. "Whatever it was, is not natural. I don't remember working on anything about it-" Nicolas's voice trailed off as Emmeline gasped suddenly.
"Look!" Emmeline, Kendra, and Nicolas stared out the front window of the car. "We're here!" Nicolas slowed down, and pulled to an abrupt stop at the side of Diagon Allay.
"Best parking ever." He said, with a pleased smile on his face.
Kendra hopped out of the car, with a happy smile plastered on her face.
Emmeline stepped out gracefully, her long black hair flowing behind her.
Nicolas hopped outside, and skipped all the way to the front of the car, with many Muggles staring at him, saying; "What is he so excited about?" or "Why is he acting like a little kid?"
Kendra linked hands with her parents, and they all walked forward into the entrance of Diagon Alley. (Except Nicolas, he skipped with a broad smile.)
